I went to Scandallo yesterday, Saturday evening and stayed until closure at 9 pm. As there were recently a bit contrary reports on the situation at Scandallo, unfortunately my experience was almost exactly the same as Lalabo's:

The only areas open are the bar right by the entrance, adjacent smoker room where people are cramped together and the restaurant, which was pretty much deserted. Disco and Patio closed, Party atmosphere non -existent. Girls quality the lowest I have ever experienced in my maybe 30+ total visits before and during pandemic. Total maybe 50-60 girls, some older and overweight, average 5's and 6's at best, some would even have a hard-time in cheaper places. Few doable girls, hardened pros, pushy and annoying trying to get you to the room, certainly no model quality. Reduced Cover 50 Reais + 150 Consumption. Girls confirmed that during the week movement is even slower. I don't think I will go back until they get back to normal opening hours. The place to be at the moment is definitely Connection. They have more and better girls with quite a few who are normally working at Scandallo.

I know many forum members mentioned reduced hours of operation but for some reason I took the Google's word and went to the club on Saturday around 7 pm expecting club would be open until 6 am. Big mistake! Pandemic restrictions are still in effect, so they close at 9 pm. I thought 2 hours is more than enough to find a girl from countless available inside.

Inside was a total disappointment! All they had open was the restaurant, small smoking area next to it and the small bar. All the girls and guys were packed in the small smoking area with no room to move around. There were may be 30 girls and as many men. Not a good girl / men ratio. Most of the girls were on older side and looked liked hardcore seasoned pros. I didn't see any young fresh faces that I remember from my previous visits. It was hard to scope out and find the one you like when you are in such a small space packed like sardines. I understand we are in the middle of pandemic but what I saw was bad. I thought the club is just taking advantage of their reputation. May be it was a low business day, maybe earlier that day was better or other days are better. I will visit another time later this week and see I if the club is any better..

I have been in SP for the last week. I visiting a bunch of clinicas and by far the best is Prime. They have usually 10-16 girls per day with a rotating staff of at least 30. I've been every day and there several new girls I haven't seen before who I have to add to do list. I love thin girls and spinners with natural breasts. The other clinicas I have visited usually only 1-2 girls that interested me. They are more fake T & A But guys love that down here. Other good places that I like are Enjoy and Indy (insanely cheap at 150 reals for one full hour).

A few notes. Time in clinicas is set and girls stay the full time, either 30 minutes or one hour. I always pick one hour, which is only 10-15 US $ more. One girl who I wasn't clicking with asked me 5 times if it was ok to leave the room after the first shot because she didn't want to get in trouble. After the first shot, if the girl ask if you want a massage that their code word question for Are we done with sex? My sessions have been 50% full on sex for the full hour or if the first shot was just good, I would just opt for a ok massage from a naked girl for 20 minutes. CIM (almost always offered) and anal (if offered) is included. Also their start hours are misleading, Prime and other say they are opened at 10 am but girls don't come in until 12 pm or 1 pm. Get the clinicas WhatsApp status by asking them to add you to their contacts and you get daily schedule and pics on status. I found this to be very useful to see if I going to check out a place. You can also schedule a girl ahead of time by messaging. One last thing, very few of girls or madams speak English so google translate your messages.

Rather than running around all over the place trying to acquire a SIM card, I signed up with a major USA Carrier with an excellent international plan. All I have to do is turn on roaming when I get to my destination, and it just works! I have the internet, and I can make calls. I get why some might want a local SIM card, but its never been worth the aggravation to me. And as for getting money, I used to carry a lot with me, then search out a good exchange house, but no more. Instead, I'm sold on withdrawing what I need from the ATMs. Exercise the right precautions, and you can do this safely. And go with the right financial institution, and you can avoid ATM fees too. My bank charges zero foreign transaction fees, and if the local bank charges fees, my institution refunds 100% of those at the end of the month! Getting money is discussed thoroughly in the "Real vs Dollar and other currency issues" thread. Guys please, please, please RTFF to get the best advice and suggestions on how to deal with these logistical issues so that you spend less time worrying about SIM cards and access to cash, and more time on hitting that gash! All of this has been discussed extensively on the site.

Its a dance bar / strip club and it is fun AF.

Loved taking the ceci girl there, it was a more or less normal date night out before going back to a love motel and fucking all night.

In RJ you can get a registered (cadastro) sim card at Central for 17 reais.

Not in SP.

My intuition is it is security.

Think of all the things you can do with a phone number, which in turn gets attached to whatsapp and all the other messaging apps.

I don't know either, but from the behavior of phone store clerks there are clearly some perverse incentives at work. My best guess is that they only get commission for sales to customers with CPFs and this is part of the government's drive to plant CPFs on everyone and shoehorn CPFs into every transaction.

You could try saying, "If you sell me a SIM card, I'll buy R100 credit," and maybe they get commission on that.

SK, Nice report. Such candid observations are always very valuable to mongers. And, yes, never change money at the airport. Your best bet are the bank ATMs at the airport if you need cash.

Nope, they are rigged with card skimmers. GRU is one big gringo trap. It's best if you have cash from a previous visit. Or call an Uber using a card and get cash in an ATM once you get into the city. Not a 24-hour ATM as those are often hijacked too.

My return journey to SP went exceptionally well, and my faith in SP as a premium mongering destination is cemented.

Visited many of the clinicas from my last trip. Miruna, Brooklin, Enjoy, and surprisingly this time, everyone I sessioned with provided MSOG and honored the full hour. Another surprise was that 2 ladies directed Mr Jonhson to their backdoor without my asking. Only in Brazil.

I also tried some new clinicas. The two that stood out were Kin Center and Prime:

Kin Center; I found this spa to be the most welcoming of all the ones I have visited so far. Very friendly front desk with English speaker on hand to help if needed. Selection was decent, someone for everyone's taste. I chose Victoria, a slim hottie with tats everywhere. Had a tongue piercing that she knew how to put to good use. Excellent GFE service plus massage. MSOG friendly.

Prime; Seems to be very popular or I went at the wrong time, had to wait 40 min for a room after making my choice. The hottest lineup I ever saw in any spa. Six ladies were available and all were 8 and up. Chose Alicia, a skinny but very shapely hottie. Spoke good English. Only downside was that she did not like kissing, but everything else was delivered to perfection, including MSOG. One of the few with whom I did not need to fake the second pop.

I also had a visit from a hottie I met on the last trip, and this time she took a full holiday from polishing other men's poles for cash to be with me full time. Spent the entire week at my place. These Brazilians are the best.

Also took time to visit MASP, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I highly recommend. Only Rs 90 for 2 tickets.

TL; DR. Spent most of the day trying to get internet working with new sim card. Only got to try 1 clinica, but had a good session with Mia at Prime.

I really wanted to respond to your arrival plan post regarding money exchange and SIM card but decided against it because I thought you you knew what you were doing.

Money Exchange:

I have never exchanged currency in foreign country except in Canada (Canada has places that give very competitive exchange rate) because of poor exchange rate they give. I think 5:1 you got at the mall is a good rate but you got screwed at airport.

There are other more efficient and secure ways to get local currency if you don't mind leaving an electronic trail. You can PM me for details or search the forum to find out for yourself.

SIM card:

I used it only once in Europe which worked fine but it was a hassle to provide identification etc. To get it activated. I have used T-mobile in the past but I now use Google-Fi and it is fantastic.

Prime:

I usually go for 1 HR sessions but in clinicas I prefer 30 min because of language problem. 1 HR is too long when you can't speak same language.

Airport to Hotel

There was an exchange kiosk prior to exiting the customs checkpoint. , but it was closed. Right before exiting the airports are where I saw some currency exchange desks. I exchanged $40 US, but realized what a rip off the airport exchange rate is. I got back 150 REAL for 40 USD. That's a 25% loss ($10)! Glad I only exchanged $40. I actually shouldn't have exchanged any at all. But didn't know if I'd need it for some reason.

There was an exchange kiosk prior to exiting the customs checkpoint. , but it was closed. Right before exiting the airports are where I saw some currency exchange desks. Finding a vendor to buy a sim card was also an adventure. Everyone kept telling me to go upstairs. Eventually ended up on the top floor, but they require a CPF number. There was a nice older lady that understood English and translated for me. She apologized and said it makes no sense that they don't give sim cards to tourists in an airport. I thanked her and left.

I was going to reply to your earlier message and tell you to try Vivo on the third floor at Ibirapuera, but I got locked out. I got a SIM card there last December and again this past Monday. Took about 45 min. I have no CPF but they arrange it. I think I paid $12 reais for the sim and an extra $100 reais or so and got set up with loads of data good for 6 months.

Instead of doing exchange try using a debit card. They are accepted almost everywhere. Or withdraw from the ATM. Some ATMs charge fees. Some do not. My best luck is with Bradesco ATMs.

For a decent steak try Barbaro in Vila Olimpia. It's not too far from Shopping Ibirapuera.

So, after walking around in the airport for a good 30-60 minutes, I'm ready to head to my hotel. I use the airport wifi to call an Uber. But the connection drops outside. I had to turn on roaming on my US phone to get service and get an Uber.

Hotel check-in was pretty smooth. Although she forgot to give me my wifi password. If you're booking in Bourbon hotel, the username and password are the hotel room and firstname+lastname (lowercase). They allowed me to check in early (12 pm) since the room was ready. Unpacked, showered, and went to the mall + grocery store.

Phone

Oh man. The phone's been a huge ordeal for me today. It's the reason I'm writing the report instead of being in Scandallo. I've been running back and forth trying to get a sim to work. First went to the Ibirapuera mall. Went all the way to the top to get a new sim card. Lots of miscommunication due to language barrier, even with google translator. Finally got my sim card. Phone and internet worked. But after a couple hours, the internet was not working again. I don't know what data plan they gave me, but I ran out of it FAST. Went back to the mall to Vivo (2nd floor). They told me to go to see&A to recharge my data. I went, and again took a good 30 minutes to recharge due to the language barrier. It worked again for an hour or so, but stopped again. I went back to the mall, went to the 3rd floor (where I got my phone). The manager there speaks English. He told me I need to dial the number on the back of the card I received plus the number on the scratch off. So back to my hotel. I called the number, but nothing happened. Again, back to the mall to figure out what's going on. The manager's gone now. A couple ladies help me out. They reset my data in their system and tell me it might take 24 hours.

So here I am, in my hotel. Writing this report instead of going to Scandallo =(. But I did get to visit Prime and had a good time.

Oh yea, the exchange rate at the mall was much better. Got the full 5:1 conversion.

Field Report

Went to a couple clinicas (Prime and Carinas), but only sessioned with Mia at Prime. She was DDG, easily a 9 for me. Not too big, but with some meat on her bones. Her face reminded me of Dascha Polanco from Orange is the new Black, but with a banging body. She had burgundy hair highlights and piercings in both her nipples. 240 real for 1 HR. Only went for 1 pop, I don't know if MSOG is available. Lots of kissing, decent BBBJ with LOTS of spit and very responsive to DATY. Covered MISH with DFK and K9 for the finish. I wanted to lay out my game plan for when I arrive:

Exchange a small amount USD at the airport and the rest in the city.

I'll probably need to visit the bank before my flight and exchange my money for crisp bills. I'm assuming Brazil's currency exchange is similar to Vietnam and Thailand where they won't accept worn bills? And currency exchange in the city is going to be better than exchange rates in the airport? Do they also give lower amounts if the bills are in smaller denominations like in Thailand?

After (or before, depending on where the phone kiosk is), I'll get a sim card for my GSM phone. Upon activation, I'll Uber to my hotel and drop off my luggage while I walk around a bit, probably to the mall and get something to eat.

Since check-in's at 2, I'll have some time to kill. I'm thinking of visiting either Prime or Carinas, although I suppose the talent will be hit or miss so early in the day. After resting up, I'll probably head over to Scandallo or Tangara.
