One important point I want to make with you is do not expect SP or RJ to be anything like BKK or Pattaya. They are not. I think SP is more like Jakarta with everything spread out, everything real discreet IE not blatantly out in the open like in LOS, and with brothels (Boates) in place of Go Go's, md with clinicas which are basically the same as BKK oilie massage parlors (and I highly recommend them).

RJ also can't be compared to Pattaya. Pat is the Go Go, Open Bar, beer bar, naughty massage parlor capital of the known Universe. There is more pussy per square block in Pattaya than anywhere and the area for fun is, I don't know, roughly 35 city blocks by 15 city blocks. But Pattaya beach is polluted while RJ has some pretty good beaches. I suppose you can compare RJ with Phuket where arguably Phuket has nicer beaches, but RJ is a much better destination for girls. Much better. Thus, I would take RJ over Phuket almost any day in the week.

It's tough to make comparisons between Brazil and Thailand. Pattaya is one big sex carnival. Brazilian sex venues are more down-low. They're not hard to find, but you need to know where they are located in advance. There are no giant neon signs and girls out front trying to lure you in.

I suppose that's why so many somewhat lazy mongers loved Rio in the 1990's and 2000's. There were hookers on the beach. Hookers at the beachside cafes. And of course, hookers at Help Disco at night. This was all along a magical two block strip on Copacabana Beach.

Rio de Janeiro is also an enormous metropolitan city. Pattaya and Phuket are small, beach cities. I would guess the economies of Pattaya and Phuket are totally dependent on tourism. Then there are the differences in the women.

Did a test at Mooca in December. Arrived half an hour before opening. Long queue of cars in the adjoining street. It took 2 hours to get tested, waiting inside the overheated car, sweltering sun. I had a friend driving me, otherwise a taxi would've charged me how much? Never again.

For my next PCR test in January I drove to the airport the night before my flight. One hour later I could drive back to my hotel. CR Diagnostics are in charge at the airport as well. They ask for an "address in case of quarantine", but no big deal, simply write the address of your hotel (with postal "CEP" code).

Are you flying back to the USA? If so, all you need is an antigen test 3 days before your flight. You can get an antigen test done at most pharmacies and I am sure there is one near your hotel. No need to go to the airport and wait around for 8 hours.

Really your best source of info is here. If you just Google CLnicas you will get legit medical things and other. If you want more high end facilities then I liked Abbobora and Natty recommended Prime. Enjoy is supposed to be good also. I did Tangar that often gets good reviews and the girls were a good value and they were super nice but the facilities are kinda Motel 6 like. Not really my thing. Others may want to weigh in on mid and low priced CLnicas.

Did not visit any clinicas as I had a list of twitter or website girls I wanted to see. I saw both of these places in Moema and both were directly next to each other and offered same day results via website login.

Do you Bourbon convention hotel breakfast serve in the Cafe or they deliver to door? I was told they deliver to the door of each room during the lockdown. Is the breakfast cafeteria on the second floor open to guest for buffet breakfast now?

I've stayed at the Mercure Times Square a couple of times, and liked it enough that I would do it again. That said, to be honest, I was thinking about giving Bourbon a shot the next time. I never book with breakfast included because I can rarely drag my ass up in time to eat within the time frame they give you. So, it's not a good deal for me. But that's just me. You could be totally different. On the other hand, when going to Brazil I always book for two people without fail. I've never had a problem bringing young girls to my room, and I believe that's been a part of my successful formula (booking for two), besides the front desk just not giving a damn haha! It's extra insurance against any problems and / or extra charges and hassles though. I prefer a king size bed too, but thinking back on it, I don't think I've ever had one in Brazil. I just book whatever the biggest size is that they have, and its been fine. As for airlines, I definitely prefer United over American (can't stand them). I like Delta even better. But then again, that's just me!

I searched on google flights SAO - RIO (6/24-6/28). GOL flights came back as $42. But under "Booking options" it shows gotogate.com as $25. And I believe their carry-on + personal item are free.

Here was the price breakdown on gotogate:

Price / personUS $11.52.

Taxes & charges / personUS $13.40.

Total / personUS $24.92.

Certain days are cheaper. But even on more expensive dates, it looks like it's only $12 more (total $37, although it shows up as $54 on google flights). Unless someone knows of surcharges gotogate tacks on during checkout?

Actually, I did confirm. If you skip all their frills (seat selection, carry-on, etc), it comes out to $36 (for higher priced flights) on GOL airlines on gotogate.com.

I tried it and even tried it for your dates, I still couldn't get it for that price. Oh well.

As always, thanks for the 411, Natty! For Thailand, I could go to a few spots and all the girls and shops were pretty much in your face, as you say. If SP and RJ are more spread out with their clinicas, boetas, and termas, how does one go look for them other than relying on the field reports posted here? I've jotted down a few of the clinicas that have been posted here, but from what I can tell, they look very inconspicuous from the outside. So it doesn't seem like you can just walk around looking for them? Or do I just google map it? Looks like lots of clinicas pop up on google maps in SP. LOL.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get BBFS in Thailand often. It happened a few times. I think it's because the first few times, I was paranoid of STD due to the stigma. So I can't say I was looking very hard for it, either. But the last time I went, I did get it 2 or 3 times. Out of my 2 week visit. LOL. Hopefully, I'll have a higher success rate on my next visit.

RJ beaches sound wonderful! And to be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the beaches in Thailand. I think I should stay in RJ for 4 days instead of 3. Sounds like a great place to relax and the beaches you mention look amazing. I like the club scene, too, so the termas sound very appealing. For this trip, I'll stick with the round trip between SP and RJ. I don't want to go and cancel my flight and rebook it. I'll keep this in mind for my next visit. But does that still mean I need to book with points? I checked on google flights. LAX. RIO - SP. LAX costs $696 as opposed to my $535 roundtrip from LAX. SP. It's also $695 for LAX. SP - RIO. LAX. I think it's because they're automatically tacking on the checked bag costs? Not sure why they do that.

I seriously cannot wait to visit Brazil! I had some really good GFE experiences in LOS, too. And if Brazil is even hotter than that? Whew.
