Heading over to Rio next week for 10 days.

The plan is to take 2 days and stop in SP. This will be my first visit to SP.

Main reason for visit SP is to visit the famous Scandello.

Should this be my go to for those 2 days or is there somewhere else I should take time to visit.

Also, I plan to visit SP on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Are these the best two days to visit Scandello?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

...Food: For some reason, places around Zona Republica only served burgers and fries and maybe personal sized pizzas. And rice goes with EVERYTHING....

There are many good restaurants and varieties. These are the obvious ones, for example, Bar e Lanches Estado, Bar the Dona Ona and often mentioned A Casa do Porco Bar. There are many by weight buffet places that should give you enough varieties. There are some nice speakeasy bars too, like one in the dungeon of a museum, and another is a bank vault. I like this area, walking distance to almost everywhere, Japan town, China town, Italian town. The main drawback of this area is it is far from clinicas.

You can get metro card from the machine in Rio or go to an office to get it. A little more work in SP because it takes a few days processing. You can just buy 8 paper tickets and keep them for later use. The bus can be faster and can get closer to your destination. The bus schedule has real time update on Google map.

You will find the places in Moema (Prime, Abbobora, RedMassagem etc.) have more honeymoon suite type furnishings.

I made it to both Yankin and Tangara for 1 session each.

Firstly Yankin:

The manager speaks English, which made things easier. I've also found a girl who spoke English and we had a good time (girlfriend experience, lots of kissing).

You are not going to find a lot of girl next door types in the clinicas as they cater to the Brazilian locals and they like them curvy and thick. Your best options are the two you already visited, Tangara and Yankin. You can try Clinica Abobora (Alameda dos Guaramomis, 1275). They usually have a big lineup with higher quality girls. CLínica Enjoy Spa (Rua Condessa do Pinhal, 279) is a decent place as is Red Massagem. Another good one is CLínica Anália Franco (Rua Prof. Jerônimo Azevedo, 189). FYI: most clinicas are closed on sundays.

With flight booked, was torn with do I land in SP and take sleeper bus to RDJ or can I find acceptable hobby scene in SP. After little to no fanfare from ISG and WhatsApp, decided on SP only.

Departed Monday, brief layover in PTY, and touched down in SP GRU at 8 am Tuesday morning. Google Maps for reasons unknown kept trying to push me towards riding the bus into town, but found terminal shuttles that take riders to a train platform that for under BR $5 tap with credit card gets eventually to Bras station and then find your station from there.

Getting around: Metro, website claimed there was a day pass for BR $24 but station employees denied existence of such a feature. The subway options were wait in line to buy single-use paper ticket each ride or skip line buy an 8 ticket card that was only sold at the Se station. Not sure why SP and RDJ's metro trains make it such pain for foreigners.

Getting around 2: Also learned (not as quickly as I should have) that Uber or blending subways and Uber are a must due to select destinations no where close to subway stations. But like other's on thread reported, after a few rides, the Uber app locked out my card for too many pending charges, likely caused by whatever bank Uber Do Brasilia goes thru. Had to add a backup credit card to soldier onward. Had similar issues in Mexico with DiDi.

Lodging: Took a chance on AirBnB 27 floor high rise in Zona Republica, booked with plus 1 just in case. So naturally, host advises of all guests register with ID, and door man at entrance so there goes that idea. Building looked new, fancy lobby and gym but the rooms looked CHEAP build. White paint, bland design, door handle to bathroom broke off. Felt like an employee break room with a mattress. Had a pool but would forget it was there oops. I honestly don't know if it was a hotel or an apartment.

Food: For some reason, places around Zona Republica only served burgers and fries and maybe personal sized pizzas. And rice goes with EVERYTHING.

Funding: Both my credit cards have No foreign transaction fees. For cash overseas, opened a debit card with Capital One, deposited a few hundred before trip, in Brazil find Bradesco and hope their ATMs are properly loaded for minimal to no fees. A few times ATMs were out / non-func but not nearly as bad as Rio previous trip.

Comm: T-Mobile with international on my main plus brought a burner phone linked via hotspot to separate civilian and hobby aliases.

Here goes:

Tuesday Day 1.

Had crazy thought process of get a cheap throwaway quickie.

Settled into Airbnb, quick shower by noon and with zero leads began looking on PhotoAC.

After deliberations that took too long, found a finalist with a few backups.

Short chick BR $100.

Lured me to Motel Ipe room Rep whatever.

Went to the other Claro store and lady sat me down and got me setup BR $20 for the sim card, cash only, plus BR $30 for a 30 day 20 GB plan. After 45 minutes of her enrolling me, I was on my way.

Also: without my other phone I was no longer tied into a Brazil ISG Whatsapp group chat, here on out I was flying partially blind.

Small lunch then start hunting for these clinicas. And being time is short, bite bullet and incorporate Uber into my conquest.

ISG pulled towards Miruna Spa. Found some other listings like Europe Spa and Hope Spa. Europa only had 2 girls working not sure if that was a red flag. Decided to try Hope Spa on east end. Took metro train to Tautape Station which is attached to a shopping mall and hail Uber from mall entrance to Hope Spa.

Saturday night, door open and led downstairs to a third area more floor and more VIP booths. Guessing this is where whales get lured to sacrifice their credit scores to the party gods.

Ordered a token drink, looked at my watch realized it's almost 1 am, this is futile. So feeling this mission was lost just messed around. My bad Spanglish was useless but Google Translate and FL that spoke passing grade English came thru.

Found some cafe to eat lunch and reach out to Flavia from Wednesday night in Bernardelli asking if she'll meet later tonight. Yes she's down to meet at a different hotel, ask if I get a special send off with everything, she was firm no rawdogging. Just like that, all this week long buildup went to waste.

Next option, looked up Miruna Spa from a few days ago. Of course being on a speakeasy basis easier said than done. Eventually found them on Whatsapp. They were open on Sundays. But only 3 girls available. Not in mood to be let down.

-That Casarao girl I paid via card? It did in fact get ran as 400 BRL and not 400 USD, even funnier it showed up on my invoice as her full first middle last name. Lulz glad no joint account. Yet.

-Comparing Sao Paulo to Mexico City, as far as locales, streets, metros, CDMX has a 50/50 blend of Spanish names phrases (Juarez, Zaragoza, Madero, etc) and indigenous names phrases (Azteca, Tlapan, Toluca, etc) Meanwhile, SP had little to no indigenous presence and end result is all Portugues all the time.

-Brazil, Sao Paulo especially, in 20th century lured in people from Europe even Asia to start a new better life. Many and their descendants are still there making up much of SP. If you took photos of crowd scenes and asked people which pic is New York and which is Sao Paulo, they probably couldn't tell them apart.

Overall take on the hobby in Sao Paulo from first timer view:

-City is HUGE. Need to break down to smaller quadrants / sectors / zones and make a true game plan to plan day's hobby and fall back options within one zone each day. Thinking you can just skip and hop from east end to CGH think again.

-watch your belongings at night! That was a nice phone.

-Spanish is NOT Portuguese so get Google Translate ready.

-Resources / directories / maps bloated with too much irrelevant fluff punter (s) could really do without. Message boards chronologically ordered old to new were an absolute PITA. Maps relegated to 640 x640 screenshots also major taboo. No single centralized black book of clinicas / boates.

-Hobby most effective if tagging along with an experienced wingman guide in person, otherwise spinning wheels piecing together intel.

-Would I go back? Difficult to say. I went purely because I was itching for a re-do of Rio's 4 x4 and was gifted a $335 flight from Texas to Sao Paulo. I thought SP could be imitation Rio De Janeiro (to an extent that is true) Often times wonder if I was better off landing and immediately take sleeper bus from SP to RDJ and spent my trip there instead. The looming threat of Americans paying to enter starting Jan 2024 isn't helping either. Neither is getting my phone swiped.

I made it to both Yankin and Tangara for 1 session each.

Firstly Yankin:

The manager speaks English, which made things easier. I've also found a girl who spoke English and we had a good time (girlfriend experience, lots of kissing).

3) I posted an afternoon report at Scandello a while back. To summarize. They will hold your bag for you when you first come in. I had everything in my bag pack and nothing was missing when I got it back. You can come to Scandello at 12 pm and hang out till your flight leaves. Nothing to worry about.

I had an interesting week in town so I figured I'd report on the details, especially since there seems to be a lot of activity on the board recently. I've been hitting Casarao hard lately, typically 4-5 nights a week and two girls a night. Casarao

I typically make my way there for 11:45 as of late, and even at that hour it is often a little empty. Entry is I believe R30, or R50 consumable. Two beers runs me R50 anyway, so I always take that option, though on the weekends I think it is R65 (I'm not sure if the additional R15 is consumable, for $3 I really haven't bothered to check). I found an amazing looking half German girl early in the week with perhaps the prettiest face I have ever seen in the club. Strawberry blonde hair, that slight Brazilian tan, and unbelievable blue eyes. She was 21 and brand new to Casarao, and only in town visiting for the week. I asked her how much for a half hour, and to my shock she quoted R250. Needless to say I saw her several times that week, and she was easily the highlight. I've decided that it is always better to ask the girl here for her price, as a fair number will quote R250 for the half hour, and even in the rare instance they quote you R350 or R400, they will almost always settle for a counter offer of R300. Aside from my all-star, I met a short and slim girl on Saturday with a very pretty face, perfect huge natural tits, and an amazing attitude in the bedroom. I tried to see her again on Sunday, though I can already tell she is a bit flakey. The rest of the week was filled with a mix of repeats, and decent but not spectacular first times. Sunday while I was waiting for the flakey girl, and I saw an absolute knockout walk past me. We made eye contact and smiled, but I didn't pursue and regretted it all night. She made it not five feet past me before someone scooped her up, and 15 minutes later she was gone. I only saw her once more, as she was headed out the door with someone else. The Casarao prices being what they are, if you see someone you like I wouldn't hesitate. Even if they aren't so great, its not like you're out a ton. I've definitely noticed that there are a bunch of girls new to the scene who get their start at Casarao, so there are absolutely some hidden gems to be had if you put in the time.

Casarao Cons: I definitely have a preference for Casarao now, but I wanted to highlight some of the more obvious downsides for first timers. The first is space, seating is incredibly limited and typically it is standing room only. Getting drinks and moving about can be challenging, especially as the night goes on. With that in mind and because it is one of the cheaper establishments, some of the other clients can be rude. I'm a fairly big guy and I get shoved regularly by people. That said I don't see any hostility besides the moderate rudeness, so it's not like I feel unsafe. The other con is hygiene. The rooms are not thoroughly cleaned, especially not when its busy. The girls I pick are usually pretty good with their personal hygiene, but I have been shocked by a few here. Lastly while I personally like girls with a few tattoos, you'll see a lot of girls here with massive ugly tattoos.

Scandallo

I popped into Scandallo on Thursday night, IMO typically the prime night for the club. I sat down for dinner, and it was spectacular. The food here really is impressive, and while I won't gorge myself I always love to grab a light meal and sometimes a snack a bit later. I start to make my rounds, and things are a little tight as they have live music going and its lightly raining outside which in turn limits the patio seating. I see a few girls who I have been with before, but aside from them nobody new was jumping out at me. For whatever reason the girls had a "harder" look if that makes sense, slightly older and with more work done than I have come to expect. Those girls are always present in the club, but typically there is a balance of newer and more natural ones too. I contemplate going for a repeat, but decide against it and call it an early night. I was intrigued by two girls I saw in the lobby on my way out, but they were in the process of leaving with someone. It's entirely possible that if I had stuck around longer I would have seen some girls more my taste, but with the tighter seating I didn't have it in me to hang out for hours. Despite the music event, it was still the usual R500 min with R200 of that being the cover.

I plan to make another run at Scandallo tomorrow (Tuesday), hoping for better results. As much as I love finding those gems at Casarao the environment definitely wears on me, especially when compared to Scandallo. If I can get around to it, I'll likely go earlier to try and double dip with the day shift trick. Have fun everyone!

The last time I was in town I was pleasantly surprised by the recently opened Clinica Zeus (they presumptively call themselves Zeus Prive). I think they have the right to the Prive claim because most of the space is in fact bar, lounge and reception with only 4 small rooms upstairs. It's just down the street from Yankin at Doutor Jose Queiroz Aranha 214. I stumbled on it when I was scrolling gp-guide before my last trip. The reviews were promising but I didn't have my hopes up very high. I decided to pull the trigger when the girl I wanted to see at Yankin didn't show up for work that day. Probably because they only opened last summer the public and session areas are noticeably nicer than Yankin or Tangara. They are on par with mid range Moema places like Red Massegems and Miruna 644. Rooms have TVs, not that I would ever turn one on. There is a comfortable lounge area with booths where I cheapskate like me can pretend he is in Scandallo or Casarao LOL! The small bar is comfortable and well stocked. The prices relative to the girl quality is highly competitive. I rate the girls on par with the 140 BRL-30 min /190 BRL-60 min staff at Tangara and Yankin, but the price is 100 BRL-30 min /180 BRL 60 min. I recommend it as a low risk way for you late night ballers to see how the other half lives. LOL.

Arrived at 11:30 pm on Sunday, after a nice dinner with mucho vino. The entry had two options. I went with the 400 real option as it would go towards food / drink / room discount. At no time did I need to get fingerprinted or show an ID.
