As important as deciding how many days to spend in each city, is to decide which days of the week you stay in one or the other. All depends on your preferences. I'm not very interested in mongering in Rio and therefore I would stay stay Friday-Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro and the rest of the trip in Sao Paulo. Last year I only spend two whole days in Rio and I think I should have stayed longer, maybe 4 or 5 days.

That's a good point. I like the weekend social scene in Rio. The Beach scene also peaks on weekends. Translation: More eye candy and if you carry yourself well it doesn't hurt to chat up the beach babes.

Doesn't seem like anyone else does a similar tour service to what ABG did on here, which is a shame.

I wish I wasn't so bad at learning languages.

I plan on staying in Moema and visiting the clinicas and Casarao and similar priced Boates but Scandallo etc would be out of my budget.

Would you lot still go if you only learned the key Portuguese phrases?

I'm going to SP and Rio in January (cracking deal on Air France London to SP 295 UK Pounds round trip} I also speak no Portuguese but I've downloaded an app called Tobo which gives you daily words to learn in (Brazilian) Portuguese, It's the best way to learn because pronunciation is totally different from how a word looks like it should sound to us English speakers. I lived in South Florida for many years so know all about Brazilian women and there amazing bundas, and what they can do with them so can't wait to visit.

This question comes up frequently. And since I answered someone on this very topic in the last week, I'm guessing you didn't bother to delve past the last one or two pages of the thread. C'est la vie!

It's pretty well accepted that SP is the better monger destination. Rio is the better destination for relaxation or tourism. Rio is not void of mongering by any means. And you can wine and dine in SP. You should tell the board what is important to you. 3 or 4 days minimum in Rio. If you love the beach maybe more.

I was in SP last year and ABG took me around to Tangare and a couple others and WOW I was treated like a KING! The experience was the best of my life he was getting up there in age and his health was not the best. I never heard what happened to him? Anyone know. His service made my trip to SP awesome and at least I know of a few places to go for my next trip.

Someone on this thread said they had it on good authority that he has sadly passed away.

You can easily pay a taxi driver 100 R and they will take you on a tour.

One of the BMs reached out to me but that's a good plan if he is busy when I come.

I just hope Brazil gets this horrible disease under control for us mongers and more importantly their people. I thought we were unlucky in England having Boris in charge but we are lucky by comparison it seems.

IMHO, Brazil has the greatest sexual culture in the world so for that reason alone is worth a visit. It's always worth it to learn a couple dozen words / phrases just to be polite. I found that I got along just fine using Google translate for everything else. But I also spent more time in the high end boates where it is quieter & calmer than Casarao.

I miss ABG too. The clinicas he took me to, I was treated like a local, maybe even a VIP and given the same treatment when I went back without him. It was like getting his seal of approval ensured good service. My experience of going to clinicas alone was mixed. I had a particularly bad encounter at Brooklin for example but did OK elsewhere.

Some of my fondest memories with ABG was just sitting around drinking beer and shooting the shit. Sometimes those memories are as important as the pussy.

Read through the past 100 pages and want to say thanks to everyone who posted, shame what happened to ABG, he seemed like a great guy.

My next trip is going to be either to Ghana or Brazil, whichever opens up first, I'm hoping Brazil but unfortunately things aren't looking good at the minute.

Sao Paulo looks much better to me mongering wise, which is the main objective of my trip and decent food and Rio doesn't appeal to me that much as I'm not into beaches.

How many nights would you lot spend in Rio to see the tourist stuff before going to Sao Paulo for the rest of the trip?

Also does anyone else offer a similar service to ABG?

I don't remember if we're allowed to post non-English language websites, so Google Prive Rua carneiro the cunha, 400 - 93049-9686 and you will see a couple of Brazilian websites that will give you what you want. They're in Portuguese so you will probably need to use a translation app.
