I have visited Brazil about 4 times now but always Rio. While I do come for play I GREATLY enjoy the easy vibe of Rio. The plan is to head back over in a few weeks but thinking of giving SP a try because of the storied I have heard about Scandello being the best.

I have gone through the threads here and I see great and so so reviews on Scandello.

So is it worth it for me to give up the laid back Rio vibe and visit SP and Scandello this trip?

I haven't written many reports in the last year, even though I still visit Sao Paulo 4-6 times a year, as it is basically the same set of good to great experiences. A couple of negative experiences the last couple of trips has made me feel that perhaps my visits to Brazil have plateaued or I've let my guard down to some extent.

However, my most recently completed trip was perhaps my best one to date. A few things probably made this trip more enjoyable. I was not working much this trip so I was able to relax more. I was hanging out with some good friends, with like-minded tastes and sensibilities. I spent time with only new girls on this trip (no repeats), which is the first time this has happened since my inaugural trip to Brazil. And finally, by some weird coincidence, all the girls I spent time with were Cariocas!

I totally dig the relaxed and chill vibe of the Cariocas, but I don't generally go for the typical Carioca look. The majority of girls (excluding Paluistas) that I've been with in Brazil were from Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina or Rio Grande do Sul. This trip, I was lucky to find a lot of light skinned Cariocas or those that have the Minas Gerais or Southern Brazilian look.

There is a Boteco Belmonte in Vila Mariana (Sampa) owned by same people, although does not compete with views of Ipanema. Fully agree with Hato, by far one of my favorites in Sampa.

I happened to frequent this restaurant in Lapa. Now I just learned that it has many locations after reading your post. A regular likes cocktail so we went to this place after sex. The waiter walked around serving fresh bakery items on the tray, almost like a dim sum style. They are in an old but well maintained building like many others around Lapa. Bar Original in Meoma has similar quality.

I think you can always get a seat if you go to A Casa do Porco early before noon or late at night after 10:30 because that is my schedule. Or you can grab a sandwich from the window if you don't want to wait. The food presentation is excellent. I feel this place is very touristy and has many foreigners visiting. They also charge higher service fee, like many other places. Have you tried Bar the Dona Ona just near by. I like the food there.

I think any airline could have similar problem. Recently, I had to stand in line for more than 5 hours until 4AM waiting for the airline to get me a new flight because the flight was cancelled. The flight before that, one hour flight took 2 hours in the air. I was sleeping because before this I was my on red-eye flight. I woke up when it landed after 2 hours, I suspected that it was CGH and, not knowing why, I thought I was dreaming. But indeed it was CGH, the flight could not land due to weather so it returned. My last 3 flights out of GRU, 2 were cancelled and I missed one due to traffic and short connection time. Two times I bought another ticket at the airport counter to get on another flight the same day.

Another visit to SP Scandalo before the pricey F1 week started. I stayed in the Villa Mariana area and took an Uber to Moema. The Cozzy Suites used facial recognition to open the doors of the hotel. There is a stupid digital PIN code for the room. At night my drunk, tired ass cannot remember another fking pin code. I figured out how to use the automated laundry in the building with a lot of help.

I spent 99 percent of the time in Scandalo rooms, Mooema clinicas Tangara first floor rooms, Prime rooms and a couple of porno star repeats. Yeah that cleaning guy at Tangar is like JJ "Dynamite" walker. So never needed to bring garota back to the room. I slept peacefully and well without the airplane noises from CGH. And could stream the NFL games in peace. This trip a few new experiences for me. Scandalo rocks as always Tues-Thurs. I had planned this trip back in October 2022 with a friend to visit SP for F1 week. Our SP trip eventually turned into a SP & RJ trip, where we got to sample a bit of each city. I've heard that the club gets packed to the gills with girls coming in from all over Brazil, South America and overseas.

I was told that 650+ girls showed up on Tuesday, 950+ on Wednesday, and 900+ on Thursday by my favorite waiter and management at the club. I personally was there with a friend on Wednesday and Thursday night from 10 pm until 2-3 am and can concur on those numbers. I even counted the crowd from the balcony of the 2nd floor VIP area on Thursday and stopped counting after reaching 500 in the disco area. Once you add in girls at the outside patio, restaurant and in rooms, that's easily 900+. Every part of the club was open, including the back section of the outdoor patio.

As you can imagine, with such a big crowd, it can be quite hectic. It was difficult to move in the disco area, and sometimes even in the outdoor patio area. I was glad we had a table reserved in both the disco and patio area so we didn't need to stand around, which a lot of the guys had to do. While watching all the girls parade by, my friends and I kept thinking and saying two phrases. "Sensory Overload" and "Decision Paralysis"!

I've heard that many UTR girls, pink book girls and high end sugar babies and GDP come to Scandallo to work during F1 week. I was expecting to see a lot more 9's and almost 10's than normal. Although I did see more 9's and almost 10's than usual, it was probably only 1. 5 to 2 x the norm, which was a bit disappointing, as there were 3 to 5 x as many girls when compared to a typical weekday. For my tastes, most of the "extra" girls were in the 6's to 8's category so they didn't interest me too much. I also think a lot of the higher end talent has filtered to private F1 parties. Some friends and I went to some civilian clubs over the weekend and found out that many of these private F1 parties soaked up so much clientele, that these civilian clubs closed their doors over the weekend due to a lack of interest / patronage. And we are talking about big name places like Sutton. Other civilian clubs were closed as they rented out their space for these private F1 parties. Heard from a friend that Bagatelle had a bigger after hours party than usual, filled with really hot upscale sugars, models and pink book girls.

Speaking of inflated F1 week pricing, I think the girls were probably disappointed at the turnout of the male clientele at Scandallo. If there were 3-5 x as many girls as usual, there were probably only 2 x as many guys as usual in the club when I was there. The girl to guy ratio was probably 4 to 5:1. I was staying at a hotel that many of the F1 team was staying at and the hotel GM informed me that there were plenty of tickets available when I inquired about tickets for a friend. He said it was due to Red Bull having already clinched the cup so a lot of tickets are being resold. The season being "over" and perhaps F1 fans preferring to go visit Vegas, which is more glitzy, for the next race, probably lessened the crowd in Scandallo as well. Due to the above, I did not experience the expected double or triple pricing I've been told is the norm from past F1 weeks at Scandallo. The top girls did start off at R2000 to R3000 for an hour and R3000 to R6000 for overnight. My friends and I were able to easily negotiate hot tier 1 girls down to R800 to R1000 for an hour and R1500 to R2000 for an overnight, which was the norm during the summer. We also don't really negotiate too hard, so perhaps a "haggler" can get them down even more.

I also noticed that a few of the really popular Scandallo girls weren't around. I presume they were pre-booked by their regulars. I also saw other popular regular Scandallo girls go long stretches without any clients or interest. I am not sure if the locals were looking to sample the imported goods or that they balked at those normally popular girls asking for too much. For F1 week, it felt like a buyer's market.

The first girl I took on Wednesday at Scandallo wasn't one of the top 5 hottest girls I saw in the club. I definitely had "decision paralysis" and by the time I decided to go after one of them, they had either disappeared or were occupied with guys. I "settled" for a solid 8. 5 by the name of "be", which I eventually upgraded to a 9 when I realized she had an amazing natural rack. "be" was from Cabo Frio in Rio de Janeiro and was working in SP for 2 weeks. Great personality and good English skills as well. She started at R4000 for an overnight, but quickly came down to R2000, and was open to some of my requested extras / fetishes. She had amazing stamina and was disappointed when I told her she had to go in the morning as I had some meetings to get ready for. Normally, an easy repeat, but other girls I met on this trip were even more amazing.

I had decision paralysis once again on Thursday. Once 2 am rolled around and my wingman called it a night, I figure I would have to "settle" a second night in a row. Then a pretty redhead that was on the top of my list freed up and I chatted her up. Unfortunately, she didn't speak a lick of English and I was too tired (partially due to "be" keeping me up all night) to try to speak and think in my Portuanol and use Google Translate. She offered to find an English speaking friend of hers and brought over another girl that I had been eyeing earlier but thought had vanished. Her friend "J" looks like a taller and edgier Natalie Portman due to her tattoos. She spoke great English and was also from Barra in Rio de Janeiro, but had been working in SP for a few months. We found out we had the same taste in music and politics and we quickly settled on R1500 for overnight until the morning. "J" was a freak in the sack and insatiable. For the weekend, I had hedged myself against potential inflated F1 week pricing by having a prearranged date with a girl named "L", whom I met in Scandallo earlier this year at normal Scandallo overnight pricing. She was the highlight of my trip. As "L" is a professional dancer, she has your typical lithe flexible ballerina body. We tried so many new positions that were only possible due to her flexibility and strong core. As she is a Carioca, she is very chill and has a bohemian attitude. She is very charismatic and my friends said she was the life of the party. We drank, ate at nice places, smoked weed, danced in clubs and fucked most of the weekend. I also didn't repeat a past mistake by keeping a girl for too long. I've found that after 1. 5 to 2 days, they get too comfortable with you and might not try as hard or or take things for granted. And some of the more negative "GF" tendencies start to show. I plan to see "L" again in her hometown of Rio de Janeiro when I return to Brazil.

I then went to RJ for a few days to meet my friend and had a fun time there as well. I'll write my RJ experiences in that forum.

A few random thoughts and musings.

On my last night in RJ, I did a very crazy termas / club crawl through almost all the tier 1 termas and clubs in one night. My friend and I started the night at Monte Carlo, as it was near our hotel in Copa. We then went to 4 x4 to meet girls we've seen before who said they would be working there that night. My girl flaked and didn't show up for work, his girl didn't and they went to the room with her. Rather than settle for one of the other girls, I decided to go check out Solarium, then Centaurus while he was busy getting his freak on. We would meet up at MABs when he finished. After checking out MABs, my friend went to bed and I went to Marrakech and finally Dolce Vita. I visited the last 4 termas / clubs plus MABs within a span of 2 hours!

This whirlwind of a RJ terma / club tour made me realize why I love Scandallo so much. Each RJ termas and club is so small that you can check out all the talent within 10-20 minutes. I can basically check out most of the tier 1 places in RJ in 2-3 hours and that's including travel time! When you spend 2-3 hours in Scandallo, you are barely scratching the surface! I can easily spend the whole evening at Scandallo without being bored, especially when accompanied by friends. In Scandallo, I can eat a high quality meal at a nice restaurant, smoke a cuban cigar, take my time interacting with the 100-200+ girls, dance with them in the disco, make out on the couches, chat in a quiet setting with good lighting in the outdoor patio when vetting them, etc. There is enough talent that I can take a girl to a room and then come back and be certain there will be another that would interest me should I find the energy for seconds. Or even thirds!

I discovered that there were many professional massage parlors and spas that give great massages at Thailand-like prices in Brazil. Many of the places are very posh as well. Previously, I've been lazy and getting them at trumped up prices at the hotel spa. I definitely plan to get regular massages outside of the hotel more often in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the future.

A majority of the girls I saw on this trip (both in SP and RJ) either negotiated or preferred to take USD over reals. And they gave me a 5:1 exchange rate, when the exchange rate was 4. 90:1.

A Casa do Porco continues to shine, and their new tasting menu was amazing. For the price, it's easily one of the best values for high end dining in Sao Paulo. It's no wonder they are fully booked months in advance. Luckily, they do save some tables for walk-ins to be more accessible to the public. But be prepared for a 45 min to 2 hour wait should you go that route.

My new favorite Omakase is Huto in Moema. The one knock I have against their Omakase is that Uni, which is usually a "showcase" piece, wasn't part of their Omakase menu and had to be done as an a la carte addition.

After seeing so many IGs of girls at Banana Cafe, I finally paid the place a visit. They have an amazing selection of drinks and very yummy desserts. I'the definitely go back.

Mahau Bar is a great place for drinking and dancing. Great DJ sets of EDM, House, Hip-Hop, etc. Nice outdoor area too when you want to take a break from the high energy of the club area. Lots of beautiful people so it's a good place to pick up civilians if you have game. A couple of girls actually flirted and hit on my date.

The-Edge was a huge disappointment. Meh drinks, dark as hell, crappy DJs. Left without using up our consumption. It was that bad.

Seen Restaurant and Bar in Hotel Tivoli. Their mixologists continue to impress with innovative and complex tasting drinks. All done with flair. Good place for beautiful watching too. Same goes for the hotel lobby bar and lobby area.

My new favorite Brazilian churrascaria is Assador Rio's in RJ. Great pricing, so many high end cuts, everything brought to the table (sides, sauces, appetizers, etc.), so many extras included. They kept feeding us food and drinks, as if they didn't want us to leave! Also a great view of the water in the Flamengo area.

Sao Paulo's nickname of "Terra the Garoa" definitely applied during my visit. There was an intense burst of wind and rain on Friday that knocked out our F1 viewing plans in the afternoon. It also did so much damage to Ibirapuera Park (fallen trees, etc.) that they closed the WHOLE PARK on Saturday when we tried to visit!

CGH / Congonhas is a very efficient airport. Was able to breeze through both arriving and departing on my way to and from Rio de Janeiro. I can't say the same about GOL though. Arrived almost 2 hours before my domestic flight at the premium check-in area and I saw a line 40 deep. After almost an hour in line, there were still 20+ people ahead of me.

I had to do the "asshole Gringo" routine and go up to the front and ask why there is such a long delay, as I've been in this line for almost an hour and I'm going to miss my flight! Then I spent almost 30 minutes arguing / debating them about the luggage allowance afforded me due to my airline loyalty status. I had to speak to two supervisors before they tagged my luggage without extra charge. Thankfully, the luggage system is very efficient in CGH and my luggage made it on the plane even though it was only 32 minutes before departure. Security was also great as I was able to go from the check-in counter to the gate in under 11 minutes.

What I learned from that experience: 1) checked bag cutoff is not 60 minutes, but 30 minutes for domestic Brazilian flights 2) GOL's IT is so bad it's like it's maintained by preschoolers 3) I am going to fly with LATAM for domestic Brazilian flights in the future, even though I have elite status with a GOL partner.

Uber package delivery is amazing! A couple of the Cariocas left things at my hotel and they suggested I use Uber to send it back to them. It was cheap (cheaper than regular Uber), quick (as they are usually motorbikes and can weave in and out of traffic) and reliable (as you can track it and so can the recipient).

I heard good things about Fazendiha in Campinas from multiple girls and local guys at Scandallo. One guy tells me he usually flies into Campinas from Rio de Janeiro and spends the day in the club before going to Sao Paulo. Sounds ingenious as it cuts down the travel time to the club from Sao Paulo by half! I might try that on my next trip!

Arrived at Scandallo around 10:30 pm. Cost 500 reais to enter but it all can be used on food and drink. Place packed with over 100 girls and maybe a little less than half of guys. Basically every type of look Brazil has to offer in this place. Depending on your rating scale, your 8-10 probably was there. True, there are a lot of normal looking girls, next door types so doing expect to have every girl be a runway model or Instagram model.
