Like suppose you are in Des Moines Iowa. The ticket to SP will be astronomical. Instead book a round trip to Miami and a round trip to SP from Miami. You can save like $1000 or more.

Yes, Latam routinely has cheap tickets to / from Miami and sometimes Orlando. $800-900 round trip to SP is routine and $600 is not unheard of, although uncommon.

momondo.com and skyscanner.com are your friends. Sometimes one throws up cheaper fares that the other misses.

Just don't book it too far in advance. Fares constantly fluctuate, I've seen sub-$900 fares departing in 2-3 days. If your schedule is flexible, you can make it very reasonable.

Also SP is a great home base to explore other cities in Brazil. Congonhas airport is about 10 minutes from Moema, serves only domestic flights, is very efficient, and it's perfectly possible to show up there half an hour before departure and still have the time for a coffee and a cheese ball. Provided you check in on your phone in advance.

I never knew about the bar until I got the invitation. I need to go there. Interesting about the receptionist. Why doesn't she like you? About 3 weeks ago I visited twice in one day and she didn't bat an eye.

I am only half joking about the evil eye and there may be more than one receptionist. But over the past 2 years I have accompanied a few board members to various clinicas. As Abbobora is situated between Mirunas and Enjoy we have usually walked to all 3 before deciding to session or not. So I have seen the lineup at Abbobora quite a few times but have not sessioned there since 2017. Not that they don't have some good candidates, its just that I am very selective and also I have a pretty large list of regulars that I prefer to session with in my apartment. So I usually only go to these clinicas to socialize with visiting mongers. Most of the receptionists in SP clinicas are quite cheerful even if you do not choose anyone, they smile and say "as you wish, come again". Yes. Absolutely Abbobora. I went back to my report. And it has a really nice bar upstairs. Small and no one there. But nice to get a warmup drink. Recommend before picking girl. After picking they said I only had ten minutes to throw it back before she showed. So better to have a warmup drink. Would be nice if you were with a buddy or two which I was.
