Well if last night was about something new, then Caf Photo was about something well-known. Arrived a bit early around 9 pm Entrance fee was 150 reals. My understanding is that the boites and the hotels nearby (or next door really) legally need to be separate businesses in Brazil. That's why at scandallo you have to climb up that staircase to reach the hotel lobby. So if you complain about the service to the hotel staff they will say, talk to the boites and visa versa if you complain to the boite. I don't think its necessarily mandatory that there are 2 separate legal entities but I KNOW it is a strategy that the bigger boates use to avoid problems. There was a period when both Scandalo and Bomboa and Bahamas were all closed by the city. At that time there were not separate legal entities. When they reopened they initiated this "strategy" of having separate legal entities for the bar and the "hotel". So it is a good strategy for them.
