You can also comute to the Green Line and get down at Consolao, rua Augusta is in a walking distance. If you want to go to Moema just take the Green Line towards Vila Prudente, get down at Chcara Klabin and comute to the new line to Moema and Brooklin. P.S. I forgot to mention Espao Vergueiro on Av. Vergueiro 170,very close to the so Joaquim metr, it's a bar and they have 5 rooms for the action, open from 3 pm til 3 am. The place belongs to a Chinese Brasilian, speaks perfec English, least time I was there I saw around 12 girls.

The place has a bar and drinks are sold for honest prices.

OH thank you about the termas! I saw a few in Sampa but after your post I did further reading and discovered that they were gay hangouts.

As for Moema and Jardins, - I am very interested in the clinicas, not so much in the clubs. I understand there are many clinicas in Moema area, would that be best? I also found a hotel near Paraiso subway. Is that area much worse for walking and mongering? I'd hate to feel like I'm stuck in my hotel.

That is key. And If you're going to walk around where there aren't a lot of people, do it during the day.

This is common sense in any big city.

Remember you aren't as much of a target as you feel you are. They see tourists every day. There are millions of middle class Paulistas. They are as concerned about their safety as you do about yours. Outside of a 1 km radius from my place I took Uber everywhere but felt totally comfortable walking around even late in the evening in Itami Bibi. One day I walked from the Hilton to clinica Brooklin for exercise but I'm not sure I'd do it at night. It's not a particularly bad area but there weren't a lot of others around.

You can certainly walk around alone in the nicer areas where visitors typically stay Jardins, Itaim Bibi and Moema. There was a discussion thread a few months back regarding best neighborhoods to stay and walking (comment #8871-8902). Linha 5 (Line) through Moema on the Metro is now connected to the Blue (1) and Green (2) lines so that is now academic.

I'm kind of cautious in Brazil. I don't walk around after sunset and uber door-to-door. It's also smart to walk where there are many people.

If you find girls like this attractive, then what I can tell you after being in Brazil for 2 weeks is this is REALLY THEM, you will find this quality at Scandallos, and I assume (but didn't have time to check out) also the "freegirls" that Rovnik mentions.

I only went to Fase Dos and Luna Lunera when I was in MDE, so can't compare but after 10 days, I got tired of the paisa look, as hot as it was initially. I haven't been to LDV, or Vive in Madrid, (next on my list). I was going to say that Scandallos seemed less 'sharky' to me but how the fuck should I know if I haven't been there. All nightclub set ups with hot girls will tend to breed sharks, but no worse than other scenes I've been in. Thermas are only in Rio & are more like FKK.

A lot depends on the style that gets you off. I like to zero in on a target over an hour or so. I like the expensive dresses, shoes, makeup etc.

I've only made one trip to Medellin and one to SP but here's my input.

Strip Clubs with putas, like Face Dos don't really exist here. At the top end clubs, the girl keeps her clothes on. Quality is same or better. Personally, I'the give the nod to SP over Medellin for 2 reasons: first the diversity of chicas and looks in Sampa is great. It's the whole rainbow. There all types, European beauties, Black honeys, asians mixed with natives. When I was in Colombia, after a few days I found myself craving something different than the standard paisa look. Second, the service levels, humor and good vibe of the chicks I've met here is unrivaled.

If you feel comfortable in Medellin I don't see why you wouldn't feel safe here. Sampa is a much bigger city (Medellin always seems like a country too big) so it's edgier, faster but I never felt in any danger.

I've been to Medellin 20+ times, did La Isla, Fase Dos, Energy, Centro casas, and mostly FB chicks the last few years. I've also been to Sampa early this year, Rio multiple times.

IMO, SP clubs are of higher quality. If you compare the top clubs, La Isla and Scandallo, it's a no contest. Scandallo has more and better eye candy. Plus, I think that the Brasileiras are better in bed. They seem to insist on having a good time as well. The Paisas less so, unless they know you well.

Wow. That's very compelling. Particularly because you know the Medellin scene so well. I love the Paisas and Medellin as a city has my heart because of its uniqueness and beauty. But Brazil has been calling my name and it sounds like it's a level up from Medellin.
