I also have had the experience that if you negotiate too low you will have an unhappy garota on your hands. You negotiate to show you are not a chump but you do not want the garota who is desperate and will take anything. There is a game when you are a sixty-year old grayed-haired guy to be the rich Daddy. There are girls surprisingly that get turned on by that role. Usually I read the Board before I go to a place so I think there were other guys quoting 500 are so when I got that number I quickly agreed. We were getting 3. 95 to 1 at the time so I think all in it was a $200 night including drinks and taxi. I have spent similar at Hook, La Isla, Madahos, Black and White, La Piscina Norte, Emmanuelle and even Cocal in Jaco Beach when the best looking girl (IMO) in the place refused to go for less than $150 and I decided I had to have it. Also got a girl for $80 at Cocal on the same trip. $100 was the norm.

Big Boss, I have to agree with you 100%, if you are going to the expensive boites there is no sense to play all kind of games to lower girls prices.

I'm not saying you do not have to negociate some discount but to became a "gringo ximbador " (gringo penny peddler) is not good.

As you said, if you behave in that manner girls will hate you and you will end up having a bad service.

If you want to go cheaper go to a good clinica, there price ranges from 150 to 250 reais per hour, all included, and the quality of the girls is about the same.

Or go to the less expensive boites like Casarao or Liberal Club.

Bamboa, Scandallo or Cafe Photo are for the big spender. An average night in one of this first class clubs is in between 300 to 500 USD , be prepared to spend such amout.

Yesterday went to Tangara, 22 girls in house, did a dupla with Isa and Nicole, two gorgeous mulatas, GFE, DATY, BBBJ, CIM, no ANAL.

You're right that "overpaying" isn't the right word to use. I was just pointing out that the floor is way lower than folks around here seem to think.

In your night at Bomboa, it sounded like you spent less than one minute negotiating her from 700 down to 500. You absolutely could have done better, and I hope my post gave you some ideas for how to spend less next time.

I think that your conclusion is inaccurate because everyone on this Board is not young and good-looking and does not speak speak Portuguese. For the high-end clubs in South America, you will end up paying $200 to $300 US for a night's entertainment. I never take a girl I just met for all night. For most guys on a week's vacation, one or two nights at a high-end nightclub is no big deal.

I am thankful for this Board in that I can always find cheaper options in each country. In fact, most night club girls from my experience do not provide GFE although the optics are sometimes better.

Look at this way, could you go to a high-end club in China and speak Mandarin?

Everyone in this thread is overpaying at Bomboa. I get the hottest ones for $500 reais total, including the $150 of the hotel room next door, so the girl gets $350. I even think I've got a good shot at $450 total next time. You might need some or all of these to get the same price:

1) Be young and good-looking.

2) Speak enough Portuguese to make small talk and jokes.

5) Say you only have $500. If they accept, say the room cost has to be included because $500 is all you have. Keep repeating this figure when they refuse.

At Scandallo, it was harder because the room is $180 so she gets $320. You may have to use tricks, for example, getting her to agree to less money for 1/2 hour, and then raising it back to 1 HR. Or telling her another girl already accepted the $500 offer and act like you're leaving to go with the other one.
