IMHO folks, the place to be for New Year's Eve is Casaro American Bar on Baixo Augusta. I know I'll be there. There's a BRL $20/ BRL $30 cover. Imagine a smaller scale and much more conservative and reserved Helpee Disco. Downside it's not a free market*, rates are non-negotiable.

The only place who is worth visiting is Casarao, you pay 20 reais entrance and can enjoy a disco and a basement llounge, incalls are around 300 reais = 40 minutes + room I tkink is 50 reais 40 min. Outcalls to be negociated but is in the range of 800 reais. Value must be negociated. If you don't speak porto it's going to be a hard task.
