Since I'm leaving Brazil at the end of the week, I decided to give Scandallo one last shot. I went in the afternoon to avoid the 500 reais entry and didn't hold high expectations because reports have pointed out the lack of girls in the afternoon.

You can check it out on Google to see if you want to visit because it is much closer. You can take a ferry from Centro at Praca XV de Novembro or just Uber to it. There are a few museums nearby in Centro too. On the return, you probably can go to termas if you want.

Short answer is no. You need to be national / resident of Brazil to get the RG / RNE to be able to open bank account. You can't open bank account only with CPF. Hence no local bank account means you can't use PIX. Just use cash -tons of safe ATM locations around and you get the best FX rate.
