Help. How does one use a reference number, 21487 for example, to find the Chinese character plus pinyin?

2. Load a Unicode to Chinese Converter (I use http://www.chinese-tools.com/tools/c...r-unichar.html).

3. Copy and paste the string from step 1 into the 'Source' box and press the 'Get the Chinese' button.

4. The result should be 你做口活儿吗？ as shown below.

Some more useful info (although a bit OT) on the Chinese pronunciation of English language names.

When you order a Coke (Coca Cola) drink, you say Kěkǒu Kěl, although just asking for Kěl will generally get you a Coke.

And Coke Zero is Kěkǒu Kěl Ling (ling means zero). Diet Coke, or Coke Light is Jiny Kěl but is rarely found in convenience stores or supermarkets in Southern China. I have no idea what jiny means. I would have thought that qīngy (light) would be used, as in Diet Pepsi Bǎish Qīngy.

To clarify my previous post, "Does anyone know a practical term for squirting?" As Pushkin points out, context is everything here. In this case, it is the sexual context in which the woman gushes large amounts of fluid during orgasm. Often in English, this is referred to as squirting. But the Chinese for this might or might not be a direct translation.
Squirt translates variously as, 唧 Jī, squirt or spurt, 喷涌 pēnyǒng, to bubble out or squirt, 喷薄 pēnb, to gush, surge, squirt, well out, overflow.
Just wondered if anyone knew the commonly used term.

Just happened upon this post and I can provide the answer. The commonly used term for squirting is:

潮吹 cháo chuī means the female ejaculatory squirt.

喷出 pēn chū is sometime used as the verb 'to squirt'.

I have often thought about opening a Mandarin (putonghua) training school for cabbies in China. Sometimes, . Only my feeling. I sense that their Mandarin (putonghua) is not standard!

The Chinese pronunciation of English language names (such as international hotels) is very different to the English pronunciation. If you tell the taxi driver the English name of your destination, it is likely you will get a confused look. For example:

Sheridan Hotel: Xielideng Jiudian (Xiè lǐ dēng jiǔ diàn).

Marco Polo Hotel: Mage Beiluo Jiudian (Mǎ gē bèi luō hǎo rìzi jiǔ diàn - happy days?).

Shangri La Hotel: Xianggeli La Jiudan (Xiāng gé lǐ lā jiǔ diàn).

And for some English named places, the Chinese use a completely different name. For example:

Coco Park Shopping Centre: Gouwu Gongyuan (Gòu wù gōng yuán).

Panglin Hotel: Pengnian Jiudian (Péng nián jiǔ diàn).

Perthden Hotel: Baisidun Jiudian (Bǎi sī dùn jiǔ diàn).

Lastly, some hotels use the word Binguan instead of Jiudian. For example:

Lotus Hotel: Furong Binguan (Fú róng bīn guǎn) - Furong also means Lotus.

If you do not want to make the effort to learn the Chinese pronunciations, then use addresses written in Chinese, otherwise you will have some painful experiences with taxi drivers.

My experience, in China, the same as yours. Chinese women rarely experience DATY. Those that I have taught to enjoy, will, I am reliably informed, thank me for the rest of their life.
