In March I had the chance to spend a few days in San Jose on a layover between some international flights.

I prearranged the transit from the airport to the city center for 49 $, everything worked well and the driver welcomed me with a sign with my name.

The girl of the night shift was very attractive and nice and checked me in without problems. I stored my luggage in the room and went back down and asked her where to go for some drinks.

She mentioned the typical locations Hotel del Rey, Sportesmen Bar and so on. For security reasons she advised me to take a taxi and and told me the maximum price to pay for the short distance.

I went to the famous hotel Del Rey and had a drink, a lot of beautiful girls there, but all of them were too pushy to invite them directly for short term. It looked like it was the last round to make business for them before closure and they wanted to fix the short term business. Not my taste at all.

So I lost the mood and went back to the hotel.

The girl looked a little bit astonished that I was back so quickly alone and asked me what happened and why I did not come back with a girl. Just told her the truth and said something like "the girls there are not as beautiful as you and not as friendly" which made her smiling even more. She showed to the bar of the hotel and said we have also drinks, even cheaper than in the hotel del Rey. I answered but here I have to drink alone, she smiled and said you can drink with me as a joke. Anyway, she served me and declined the invitation for a drink due to her work, but stayed and talked with me. It was quite a good talking, with some flirting which to which she responded verbally and emotionally, but she kept distance. Anyway, good to kill the time until I was sleepy and went to the room. When I checked my cellphone there was a message. She wrote that she got the number from my booking and that she liked to talk with me also very much but could not come closer due to the video security system in the hotel, but that she had the next two days off. She finished that I can either respond if I like to see her again, otherwise she would delete my number for discretion and asked for apology for this.

Of course I told her that I would be keen to meet her again, then she told me that it is not possible in the hotel and suggested me to book another hotel for the next two days and proposed the hotel Vesuvio some streets away, which I booked through hotels.com at a good rate for the double room.

When I woke up her shift was finished and she left. I made an excuse at her colleague that I had to change my plans and it was possible to cancel the 2 more nights without problem and getting the money back.

Also the check in for a double room at Hotel Vesuvio was no problem, I just told them that my girlfriend arrives later, they never asked for her ID.

She arrived around 3 pm and started kissing and hugging me like she never had a man before. These led to some very hot and passionate Sex until it was time to go to dinner, for which she found a decent Restaurant. Afterwards we went back to my new hotel for another round of sex and fell both satisfied asleep.

The next morning she proposed a tour to the Volcano Poas and asked a cousin to bring us there. Concerning the money she said just drink and food for him and the gasoline. Quite a very good deal.

The only disadvantage, she asked for discretion and asked me to react like a customer who booked a tour with her. No kissing in front of him.

Anyway it was a nice tour, great sight at the volcano and during the trip. And of course we found some minutes alone for hugs and kissing. When we came back in the evening she went home again and came back to me just 11 pm. We had a few drinks next to the hotel together, good conversation and flirting and she came back to my room.

Another great night. I prefer to stay together over night than just short term sex.

The next morning it was time to say goodbye, and I politely asked her if she needs some moment for her studies, and she said that she has to pay about 200 $, but that I am not obliged to give her somethin. But of course I gave her the 200 $ and the rest of my local currency. She insisted that her cousin will bring me to the airport, which he did and he was astonished when I asked him how much, because he said that I already paid the transfer to her.

Anyway, as he was a good company the day before and I paid so few money for the trip to the volcano I gave him a tip of 20 $ which he liked very much.

So it was a wonderful time for me in Costa Rica with a real GFE. From time to time we still exchange WhatsApp.

Reads like an advertisement for Sportsman's Lodge. The bar is nice, but it's very noisy if you're looking to get some sleep. If you see a particular girl in SL; you'll likely see her at the Taormina as well later on. SL is a ***** if you like to walk. The SL is also limited as to the number of rooms if you're traveling over a busy holiday.

No one will argue about the demise of the Hel Ray, but I believe it is still open; no casino though.

I'm back down there this Friday and a report will follow.

Definitely not a hotel ad. I have no relation to bill (I think that's the managers name) or any of the other dudes at the spot. I just have respect for the lounge. Pops was a homie. He was definitely someone who would help out everyone on their first trips. I was young when I came solo for the first time. Pops respected me and treated me well. Sportsmens Lodge and the ladies at the bar, the front desk, the security guards, the whole thing. Love it.

I saw this happen in Thailand a few times over the years. The girl agrees to one guy, or maybe two, but then she gets to the room and they come out of the bathroom or closets. Or else just show up at the door. Odd stuff. I didn't know it was happening in Latin America.

Or, as I saw it one time, they negotiate the price for 5 people, and off they go, and come back and the chica is smiling with the money she got and everyone is happy. There was certainly no ambush by extra guys or anything negative or illegal. One time in Costa Rica is what I am referring to.

I tried to keep a relatively low profile, but Pops was the person who from the start, up until my last and final trip was a friend. So thank you to all the members on CRT and especially to Pops for being the homie we all need.

Costa Rica is a beautiful place. There is so much I wish to share.

1. First, The Del Rey is no more. It closed before Covid If I recall correctly. I imagine this is what a THERMAE CAFE in Thailand is like. The Del Rey was a hotle where freelancers would come looking for clients in a casino. Now that its closed, lets move on.

2. My favorite spot, The Sportsmens Lodge which ill call SL. SL is the best place for us in CR. When I first was introduced to CR, I stumbled upon CRT. That's where Pops and I connected. What an awesome guy he was with his book. Hahaha. Anyways, the day I met pops online, he recommended I stay here. And I did, it was like $110 a night. Get the CRT card you get a discount. The cool thing with SL is its very much like Del Rey. Except way cleaner and better environment. TVs and a huge bar in the main lobby. All girls that enter must provide ID and not be on the banned list. The management of this spot does an amazing job of making sure everyone's safe and comfortable. In a good location and the rooms are pretty dope and unique in their own ways.

If anyone is going and needs any further advice, please do not hesitate to ask. Pops was someone who taught me that helping and guiding others is a good thing. So in his memory, I will try to do the same for others.

My first and only trip to CR in 2017 I had pops pick me up at the airport and he was a good wingman for a couple days. He was a very cool and laid back guy. RIP.

3. Massages: I have only went to 2 massage spots. 1 of them was owned by another CRT member. Anyways I don't like the massage scene I am more of a guy who likes to meet chicks and have good connections.

4. Chicks: Through the years, SJ has been my homebase. Meeting women and taking them on trips to Manuel Antonio, Arenal, etc. I will be brief with one review. This was MANY years ago. Her name was Karen, she was a regular at the SL. She used to be skinny, but got chubby. She was a very good GFE kinda gal. Very sensual and what we all crave. Anyways I met her in the lobby at SL. She saw me staring and came over for a drink. We immediately had fun. After 2 nights of fun in SJ, we decided she would join me to Manuel Antonio where we stayed at the Selena Hostel Villas. Private area with a private pool. It was beautiful. We had a great time, we took interbus shuttle there, we enjoyed 3 nights of pure romance and fun, and came back in one piece. Needless to say, that memory has stuck with me through the years.

5. Other places: Jaco Cocal Casino is like Hong Kong of Tijuanna. Except freelancers all around a pool. You can checkout the other many spots like Jaco Blue and other spots in Jaco for gals. Jaco is a pretty seedy spots. Guanacaste is beautiful. La Fortuna, Arenal, go white water rafting level 4. You can go up to for an ATV adventure. You can go to Nosara and Tamarindo for some escape and new scenery. Man I can't say enough good things about Costa Rica. I love it. I lived in Guanacaste for 8 months, as well as Alajuela for another 5.

6. Cost: From my memory, you can get girls overnight for $100 if you are good at negotiating. As a younger person, it was easy for me. But YMMV. I recommend $120 a night budget just in case. ST you can get for no more than $80.

After the majority of girls will hit you up asking for cash if they feel comfortable with you and think they can get $$$ out of you. The nicer you are the thicker the line of bullshit will be.

Just tell them up front, you're here for a good time not for a long time. Nothing wrong with being generous but make no mistake they are also asking 4 or 5 other dudes for whatever amount they think they can get.

I just got a WhatsApp message today and I'm not even sure from which girl. I am expecting some kind of $$ request.

Same I had one girl texting me to buy her a charger for her vibrator and money for a vape, I know she's really poor because her sneakers are dirty and torn up and her clothes look old and dirty as well, she can't even afford $20 shorts but she's cute though.

Whatsapp is just like your messenging software on your phone. Texting costs money in most of these countries, so they use Whatsapp which is free. So you avoid problems by not giving people your phone number. Whether they use that for whatsapp or regular texting or phone calls. Same.

You can give anybody your phone number. You can later block anyone and also delete chat. Fell free to add anyone. In many countries WhatsApp is becoming number one chatting app. People are getting away from messenger, Skype, etc.

Only connect on WhatsApp with those you can trust. Don't accept or respond to any unknown contacts. Block anyone suspicious. Last, don't divulge a lot of personal info that someone can use to track you over the internet and use that against you. If you travel a lot, best to get a cheap burner phone that isn't tied to you, directly.

Whatsapp is just like your messenging software on your phone. Texting costs money in most of these countries, so they use Whatsapp which is free. So you avoid problems by not giving people your phone number. Whether they use that for whatsapp or regular texting or phone calls. Same.

There's a girl I met last time at the Taormina; "Jennifer Gangsta" is her WhatsApp name. Has a tattoo of a 9 mm and brass knuckles on her right thigh; classy, right? I'm in the states and she tried to hit me up for money on WhatsApp so she could go to a dentist to get a wisdom tooth pulled. Might have had a wad of gum in her cheek in the photo of her swollen jaw for all I know. I laughed to myself and replied; "Well, you better get to the Taormina and shake that ass!" She didn't like that answer.

When you give a girl your WhatsApp number; she feels it's ok to message you out of the blue to ask you for money even when you're not in country anymore.

Yea so I've been to CR about 7-8 times and have a lot of numbers. I'd say 8 out of 10 hot me up after to ask for cash. It's almost expected. These are tricks of the hoe trade. And there's always a sob story.
