I had done it at Presidente hotel a while back same way. Depending on the occupancy rate or reservations they will do it.
Generally I never book online. Always call the hotel directly and talk to whoever in charge. Most important is to tell them you had stayed there frequently and always got a good deal.
If you are going with friends and need more than one room it is good also.
You need to pretend as big gambler for the hotels with connected casinoes. They usually lower the price.

Posts: 3359You can also join Costa Rica Ticas and that will get you I believe it is a 15% discount which turns $59 into $50. You then get 15% (I think) off your food and bar tab there too.

Having spent a few very chilled out days in Jaco.
http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...=1#post1165006
Return to San Jose from Jaco in a minivan we book in Claritas bar for $100. For our last two nights in Costa Rica.
Staying at the Sportsman Lodge. Checkin and I'm staying in the Pura Vida room and my wingman is next door. Very comfy rooms with a packed fridge, room safe etc. Its around 3pm and we relax in the Sportsman lodge bar for an hour and have something to eat. Alot quieter than the Del Rey. A dozen or so girls around, seems to be popular with the more senior USA guys.
We head into town we look in a few bars including the Morazan hotel and they are all completely empty. Eventually we make our way back to the Blue Marlin bar in the hotel del Rey. We just cannot stay away. There are some lovely barmaids in the hotel del rey. It not long before we got two girls we are both happy with and take them back to the Sportsman lodge, take taxi from outside the Del Rey. Cost 800CRC.
My girl is pretty young tica, long black hair, olive skin, big brown eyes, curvacious figure and shaved pussy.
The service was not bad and paid her the agreed 40, 000 CRC. We spend the remainder of our time in the Sportsman lodge playing some pool. More girls about in the evening and a few are really cute. But we shot our load so not biting. Seems the girls freelancing in the Sportsman require some sort of membership to be able to ply their trade their. Were Dominicans, Ticas and Nicas. At midnight the bar closes and the Sportsman lodge goes completely quiet, another big difference to the Del Rey, over there the night is just beginning.
On my last day in San Jose, I try to find a couple of massage places using this map,
http://adultcostarica.net/
But can't locate them. Eventually I take a normal massage in the hotel Diana. Get some sovenirs and make my way back to the Blue Marlin bar hotel del rey as I'm on the lookout for a girl in particular who only works an afternoon shift in the Del Rey.
A few minutes I notice her and buy her a drink. She won't come down from a $100 unless her friend joins us too and then can have both for $150. But not interested. Just want flower and so we take another taxi back to the Sportsman. A doorman checks the girls identity and signs her in but there is no joiner fee at the Sportsman for when you bring a girl back or when you take one working inside.
Flower is a nice girl, got lovely tits and a tight pussy. She friendly girl too but young the experience neither girlfriend or pornstar.
That evening we pay our departure tax in the Sportsman for $28. My wingman wants to get drunk and go over to the Hotel Del Rey but we got an early flight and need to check out at 5:30AM. Eventually he takes two girls in the Sportsman lodge one looking like a supermodel, the best looking I had seen.
In the morning we have a room call and my wingman not look good, been hitting that minibar. We make it to the airport OK and as have an hour to spare he falls asleep. When its time to board the plane I wake him up and he is not looking any better. As we are about to board the plane he collapses and then he cannot fly. He had to much to drink. I warned him against this and not prepared to wait at the airport for another 24 hours nursing his hangover so leave him there. He makes it home the next day minis his luggage.

Yes the Royal Dutch is still there on the main drag. Think it is 2nd Ave. Their rooms run about $ 45-50. 00 a night and are nice. You should not have any problems there with bringing chicas up to your room. There is also a full casino on the bottom floor and an elevator up to the rooms. Restaurant on the 2nd floor has a pretty good inexpensive lunch at noon too.
If you will go there in the evening and see the 'night guy' at the front desk he will give you a discount on your room for cash. During the daytime there are girls on the front desk. They will charge you full price. So go by there around - 7 PM till around 10 PM and see the 'night guy" for a deal on the rooms.
If you do not get into the Royal Dutch Hotel then the Hotel Castillo or the La Amastad Hotel in Barro Ammon - near the Zoo are good choices also.
Perhaps the best place is the Sportsman's Lodge...$ 50.00 and up.........but you will need advance reservations there.
To meet non-pros.....you need 'game' and need to be able to speak reasonably good Spanish.............then try going to the supermarkets, the shopping malls, and literally pick them out and introduce yourself, chat them up, offer to buy them a Coca Cola at the food spots there.......and you will be surprised how well that will work for getting you some "dates with non P4P young gals."
I am entirely too old for that at 66 years...but it works well for the younger guys who can hustle around a bit.

Posts: 145Hotel Del Rey Report. First mongering trip to Costa Rica
San Jose Costa Rica Mongering Summary.
Took my nephew with me on my first trip to Costa Rica. Was a treat as he recently done his first tour of duty in Afghanistan having recently joined the army. I was paying for the travel and accommodation he was to bring his own spending money. We were booked up for 9 nights and was budgeting around £1000.
ESTA Visa.
It was not possible to get a direct flight to San Jose Costa Rica so had to go via USA Newark airport. At London Heathrow we then had a problem as needed a visa even for transit in the USA. We could apply for an ESTA on the internet terminals at the airport.
https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
We frantically done this but then learned the ESTA system had gone down and now there was a backlog. We were going to miss our flight now. Alls we could do was book it for the same time the next day. Once I got home checked on the internet and authorization was now approved. When booking up the flight there was no warning anywhere. At the airport there were dozens of people facing the same problem. The ESTA lasts two years from date of approval.
Hotel Del Rey.
The next day everything goes to plan and we arrive in San Jose on schedule, was a long journey though and was feeling jet-lagged. We checkin to the hotel del rey and then hit the lobby and blue marlin bar it being about 10pm.
I split with my younger wingman in the Blue marlin after meeting my first chica a girl from the Dominican republic. She started at a $100 but got her down as low as she would go at $80. She wanted paying up front but just showed her I had the cash and we got down to business. She was a good time girl and after sex I fell into a deep sleep in her arms with her stroking my head. Sometime later she woke me up and I paid her and she left.
Later my wingman knocks on my door he had been with some Tica and heading over to the Key Largo. Later I head over there but can't find him, its not that busy in there whereas the lobby and blue marlin were heaving with ticas.
As you may know the Del Rey has working girls freelancers from all over south and central America and many girls from the Dominican too with a few Russians thrown in too. Spoilt for choice really.
Second Dominican Girl.
I was sat at the Lobby bar nursing my beer and this very sexy Dominican girl joins me, She got very sexy short dress on, hugging her super fit body. I run my hand up her leg and she not got any panties on. She wants to do toda la noche or all night for $300, too much! I mean its early hours of the morning now.
She drops to $150 but won't go lower, she won't take no for an answer and sits with me at the bar for nearly an hour, in the end I agree and to the room we go. Before you can take a girl to your room, you have to register with reception in the Del Rey and they have a guest fee of $10. I have a good time with this girl, she loves watching herself being fucked from behind in the mirror. In the morning we do more of the same and I rub KY jelly into her ass and try a little anal!
Later meet up with my wingman, he had got seriously drunk went off to some other nightclub with the Tica he had met and was now minus his IPod. He returned to the Del Rey around 7am and took his first black girl who he had met standing outside the hotel, she was high on drugs. So he broke alot of mongering rules and I was worried.
No money no honey.
We then try to get some cash out of an ATM in San Jose, his card although Visa was not working. Turns out on Visa alone cannot draw out cash on international ATMs needs to be on the Visa Plus network. Can be bills like hotels and restaurants. With MasterCard needs to be on the Cirrus network. We got round it as he could pay the hotel bill at the Del Rey with his Visa and then I could give him the cash equivalent.
My first Tica. Porn star.
Del Rey daytime has quite a few girls working and some don't do the nighttime had two mature ticas offering BBBJ and CIM ANAL for $50 each, was tempted. The next girl I meet was a Tica in the lobby bar, She was pretty with a porn star body and that nerdy look with glasses. Again got her down to $80 and in the room she was a good girl giving BBBJ I had to fuck those tits and thats where eventually I shot my load.
That afternoon I'm sitting in my hotel room on the 5th floor and the room starts shaking, bloody earthquake never experienced, it was quite strong at 6. 0 magnitude and I thought for a moment that it was game over.

The next morning we were heading for the resort town of Jaco on the pacific coast.
Really enjoyed my stay at the Del Rey has to rate as one of the world top mongering hotspots. I had a room at the front of the hotel and in the early hours of the morning gets very noisy outside and kept me awake. Best to ask for a quiet room if you must stay there. Should be experienced at least once. Great to go down in that lift. Girls were mostly pro, no kissing

Thanks for the update and photos. The esteemed Don Gordo has recently praised the Pirate Club as well. I'm looking forward to checking it out when I hit San Jose on July 1st. BTW, I've encountered some positive feedback on HLH (formerly Zona Blue) as well. They did a very wise thing and took on Boyd as their director of sales and marketing, and I've heard he has been assembling a much-improved lineup that is beginning to rival the "goood old days." Boyd is a true professional and a class act. He used to run the poker room at the Clarion and helped the Dunn Inn renovate and construct its new casino. Looking forward to checking out HLH as well.

Posts: 345Rise of the Pirate Club
In the world of sex tourism, each destination has it's hot spots that rise and fall over time. Rio had HELP, Medellin has the Mansion, Havana has La Cecelia, Costa Rica had Zona Blue. Each of these represents a piece of time that the winds of chance or fortune made one particular place better than the others.
In Costa Rica, from about 2005, to the middle of 2008, Zona Blue had a hands down advantage over it's competitors regarding talent and the quality of girls available in that establishment. So clear was the advantage that Zona Blue became the default place in San Jose to find the best looking women with the best service. So much so, that ZB management built a hotel around the 'Pension' in an effort to capitalize on the momentum. Prices gradually went up, and not many people complained. As the talent made the increase tolerable.
Something happened in Mid 2008 that affected Zona Blue's stable of talent. Be it a labor dispute between management and the girls, or how disagreements were handled, that caused an exodus of the most desired girls for a time. Efforts were made to resolve the dispute, but the damage was done.
Zona Blue never completely recovered. Changes to the name and a few superficial changes were made, but the window of prominence never reopened. Years later, the talent never has made it back to 2008 levels, but the pricing remains at a premium.
Relax tried to fill the void for a time, as did Idem, but nothing has equaled the abundance of talent once available. Until recently.
The Pirate Club, a theme bar / pension on Avenida 10 has consistently held the level of talent and reasonable pricing once sought after in Barrio Amon. A $2 taxi ride from the Del Rey, drinks are reasonable, pricing is modest, and the combination of beauty and service is consistently available.
One of my favorite things about the Pirate Club, besides beautiful girls delivering stellar service, is the hours of operation. Opening in the late morning, and closing after midnight most days gives the Pirate Club an advantage over most pensions that close at 8:00pm.
My experience in the hobby tells me that their sun will rise and set like everyone else before them, but I plan to enjoy this anomaly as long as it lasts, which I hope for them and all of us, is a long time.
