I read somewhere there was a little police raid on HLH, that was on the massage / short time side I guess, not the actual hotel part where people stay. Is that correct?
What is the latest on these police interference. Putting their nose where it not belongs! I guess it' a fact of life and it happens occasionally to every place.

Posts: 18Just got back from a week or so in san jose. Weather basically sucked. Rained every single day. Outside the city wasn't as bad. Jaco was pretty empty during the day.
For action the Del Ray was the usual scene. Chicas asking for 100 but quickly negotiating down to 60, 70, or 80 depending on looks. Pretty much a buyers market down there. Lot of desperate girls looking for a quick score.
Sportsman's we found to be more fun in general than the fish bowl scene at the del ray. Good spot to grab a bite, watch some games, and pick up a fun girl.
Spent some decent time at hotel little havana and it's under new ownership. We actually chatted with the old owner who was on his way back to chicago having sold the business. Rooms at the HLH look pretty decent and you get a good discount on chicas if you stay there. They also have a nice cigar area setup run independantly by an expat. Very friendly gentleman and he gets some fine quality products in to sell. Good spot to waste some time and relax. Girls at HLH were decent and fun and the place in general had a very fun sort of feel to it. If that's your thing I'd reccomend. The only downside I saw to HLH was if you want food you need to order out. But that didn't seem to be a problem as when we were there delivery people were constantly stopping in to drop off Chinese or pizza or whatever. They have a full bar and tv's for sports so that would be the only missing item, a kitchen.

So simply find another 'more chica friendly hotel' that does not charge a $ 30. 00 "guest fee". Which by the way......is totally stupid, to begin with. For every "two guests you take up to your room:. You be getting a free 'pop' at a hotel which did not have a 'guest fee'. Think about that...........
There are lots of pretty good hotels in San Jose. You do not need to stay where they will frown upon your activities and charge you extra.

I would recommend a couple of hotels for you where you would be 'right at home'. First the Castillo Hotel, the Sportsmans Lodge, or the La Amastad Hotel.
Check them out. They have web sites. And they are all chica friendly and none of them has any extra 'chica fee'. Which by the way is just another way for the hotels to put the $$$$$ screws to their guests.

I called and they said the allow chicas but there is a $30 fee. The Del Rey and others are all booked for when I want to go so I have no choice. Has anyone actually stayed there recently?

In the past I found that it was not chica friendly. Anyone have any recent experiences there?
