So the previous posts that the Eurostars casino is closed and the elevators are locked down is no longer the case?

Not sure who posted what but I run my own game. Read my detailed posts going back 5 years. Trust me Eurostar's is open and great value, convenient, clean, free breakfast buffet and most important very close to Habanos. I stayed Oct 23rd-27th. Great time. World Series on in the casino bar along w College football and NBA. Habanos packed every night w juicy nuggets from all over So America. You'll be like a kid in the candy store w so much sweet sugar in town.

Good sports bar w cold beer and cheap drink prices but best of all only a 45 second walk to world famous Habanos. Place jam packed every night w world class Latinas from all over central and South America. Best of all I entered Thru the casino to the hotel elevator 4 different times w chicas and nobody said a word. A $5 dollar tip to the security / doorman guarantees access. Habanos has to be one of the best clubs worldwide for P4P.

Yes true there is a great variety in Panama including girls from CR so you won't be missing anything. As for chica fees try to just make friends with the security early on and tip him and you won't have to pay those big fees or find one of those bars where you can do your business there.

Guys- Haven't been back to CR in over a decade. Simple reason is Panam City. Cleaner, safer, dollar is used, metropolis compared to San Jose but more importantly the Colombian and Venezuelan woman. Habanos is the watering hole of choice across the street from the Marriott. On any given night 75-125 Latin beauties on hand. Great vibe. You'll thank me later.

Key Largo is closed, all the action is at the Del Rey. There is Sportsmen's Lodge but frankly I don't care for it; I seldom see anyone there that I want to take back to my room. Maybe I'm just too picky. But I always find someone at the DR. Plus I hate the super loud music at the SL.

Numbers are down quite a bit at certain times of year and generally down from what they were years ago. BUT you can still find some really great girls at the Del Rey. It's a numbers game, and if you don't see what you want don't get in too big of a hurry because often many more come in at 11 pm or 12 am.

If SW means street walkers, the only ones I've seen the last few years (when I'm going somewhere by taxi; I'm not looking for them!) are transsexuals just down the hill from the Del Rey, between the Del Rey and the Sportsman's lodge. Otherwise I don't know if there are any hetero streetwalkers.

My sense of it is that in every city nowadays, the streetwalkers are drug addicts for the most part. I would avoid that whole scene. Dangerous in more ways than one. And in general, San Jose has gotten more dangerous than it used to be, at night. In the day it's not too bad, just watch for pickpockets. But at night it's best not to walk around or hang in the worst of areas (like the old redlight district south west of Gringo Gulch, for example. I mean, I have not been down there for years; but nor would I go.

Quick San Jose Trip Report.

Recently, I did a quick 4-day trip to San Jose. For the first time in all of my visits to Costa Rica, I stayed outside of the famous "gulch," which is the area around the Hotel Del Rey (HDR) and Sportsmen Lodge (SL). I rented an Airbnb in the Rohrmorser Area, an upscale type of area northwest of Sabana Park. This was one of the best lofts that I have rented in a while and the view from the balcony was outstanding (see pics). The building name is "QBO Skyhomes. " My unit was on the 19th floor. My recent trip in Sept was saved by Monica's / Delray was 75% down, very difficult to find any girl who is 5/10. Day time there was nothing to even look at. Monica's is a hole in the wall and in a fairly dangerous part of San Jose. It has it's fans and that's all well and good but personally I wouldn't waste my time looking for it if I were you.
