You forgot to mention customs which can take 5 minutes or an hour if you are unlucky. 2 hours back and forth from the airport. Put another 30 minutes to get through security. It is very doable but again. Timing has to be perfect. If you get stuck in customs or traffic through rush hour. Might as well turn around!

This kinda problem requires a little military-style backwards planning. I think that if you leave the HLH two hours before your flight, you should be fine, especially if you have boarding pass already, you don't have to get in line to get it, which would save you 30 minutes. However, you might need to pay the exit tax, please check on this before leaving the airport. Buy one at the airport before leaving if you do. Leaving two hours before your flight leaves should be plenty of time, even if you try to leave for the airport during rush hour. Seriously, it has never taken me more than 23 minutes to get from the airport to HLH.

That leaves you three hours to leave the airport.

If you travel light (1 carry on, one shoulder bag / small back pack) you don't check anything in, so you walk off the plane, you walk pass the shuffling masses of airport zombies departing your plane, and get to the head of the line at immigration, and you don't have to wait for your bags on the turntables.

It should not take you more than an hour to get out of the airport and get to the HLH. Hour and 15 minutes, tops, and that would be during rush hour. But if you are coming in during rush hour, you will not have to go back to the airport during rush hour, so you have those 30 minutes back from the return trip.

Five hours minus 3 hours, leaves you two hours. Plenty of time for a drink, an interview, and plenty of time to pull the trigger and spend a nice hour session. You can even have the gal at the front desk have a cab and a dinner-to-go from the Peruvian place across the street waiting for you two hours before your plane takes off.

I'm into my last week of this three week trip. I have had trouble understanding why this town is so loaded with Gringos. Everything is expensive here, and the weather has not been that great (kinda cold, and damp ). All that said it took Fridat night in Key Largo to make me understand things much better. The Disco was really jumping. Many hot girls who seemed more into partying with the Gringos thay had then heading to the room. Now I have had a lot of experence with LDV in CTG, and Teqilla Rock in LIma, but this place was better than those other two by far. I think for a Gringo with some extra money who is not afraid to part with it than the Key Largo is a great spot.

I also have found the budget monger has many options here as there are many low priced casas in the Amon area.

Generally, girls will ask for $300 for TLN. Most will settle for $200. This has mostly to do with supply and demand. On a busy thurs / fri / sat night, the pretty girls can find a couple of gringos to pay $100 for a session during the course of the night. So they are not all that motivated to stick themselves into close quarters with an ugly old gringo if they can do a couple rounds instead and party with the money they've made.

Of course, much of this has to do with what you consider "an insane amount of money". In Cambodia or Laos, $300 a night is an insane amount of money. In Costa Rica, that threshold is twice that number. Just has to do with the local economy and frequent exposure to dumb gringos.

Here's a stupidier question. Where do you get TLNs? The strip clubs don't seem to have door fee options. The girls at HDL ask for an insane amount of money. $300 for TLN quoted from a Colombiana (eventually talked down to $200) but she wasn't that hot and I could get a super hot one for that price in Colombia. Does getting TLN require repeating with a chica until she feels comfortable with doing a TLN with you? And what are the rates?

OK this might seem like a stupid question but I just have to ask. I've done pretty well all STs so I'm a bit ignorant here. When you guys are doing TLNs, just how attractive are the girls in the morning when they have 'jungle mouth' (morning breath)? You have it too. Or do both the girls and you do a quick trip to the bathroom to clear up that jungle mouth first before the morning round?

Depends upon the hours of your layover. If my layover were during the afternoon / early evening, I would figure an hour to get out of the airport and to the Hotel Little Havana, spend a very relaxed and jazzy two, maybe two and half hours having a drink, picking out a companion for a 60/90 minute session that includes shower / full service / shower / massage (!) , and then budget 90 minutes to get back to the airport, through security, and board your plane. If your commute back to the airport does straddle rush hour, pick up a nice meal to go. (SJO meal options, both inside the security coral, and even outside for the visitors and employees, is expensive and tasteless. That still leaves you 30 minutes of safety margin.

100% coincidence. I knew nothing about Elena's previous problems. When I was with her I was not particularly careful or paying attention whatsoever, but she treated me great. As a matter of fact, she was so much fun and so amazing that I kept her for a second hour. She was fun, sweet, incredible in bed, and generally just a pleasure to be with.

I doubt she would have tried this kinds of hijinks if a) she were a regular at someplace like HLH and be) she were happy with the customer-to-income ratio she was getting. However, as an independent, a great deal of the customer base and venues can be something of what the Japanese would have called "the floating world." (points if you got that last reference)

100% coincidence. I knew nothing about Elena's previous problems. When I was with her I was not particularly careful or paying attention whatsoever, but she treated me great. When I was there over labor day weekend she was working at the sportsmans lodge. I was told her and Boyd got into an argument at HLH. Greg was saying he was going to try and get her back now that Boyd is gone.

Probably not going to happen, given her recent indiscretions.

Has anyone run into Elena from the Hotel Little Havana in the past 5-6 months? She is a tiny thing but really quite incredible in bed? Really a great personality and very active and vigorous in bed. I am headed back down next week and would love to find her again.

Sessioned with her about six months ago, at the strong recommendtion of a friend the day she came to interview for a spot with the HLH. She wasn't due to start until the next day, but we hit it off that afternoon and went to my room. Spinner-rific (85lbs?) and it was a very nice GFE. Good skills. She is a Nica, but has an exotic look that will remind you of certain types of Thai / Cambodian / Pinay girls. She stayed at the HLH for a few weeks and then went independent, or went back to being independent. Has a tendency to build up repeat customers who become fond of her. I would repeat.

However, she has a reputation as a thief. If you look up her picture in the C (harlie) R (omeo) T (ango) or see-ar-tee website, there are mixed reviews running with 80% saying "cute / spinner / GFE" and 20% complaining of missing valuables. There is a long topic of how she was caught in the act this week. She is currently banned form the SL and the Morazan hotels, possibly the Del Rey in the next few days.

Maybe if she had stayed at the HLH she would have more motivation to avoid temptation.

They used to have a bookie room at the Morazan. 2nd floor if I recall. Not sure if they bet the horses in CR like they do in Panama.

I went to the Hotel Morazan today, and on the second floor, room 200 they have a sports betting room. Minimun bet is $20. I was told they will take bets on the Breeders Cup, but may not have it on TV. I was also told the most odds they will pay off on is 15 to 1.

Also checked out the Del Ray, and found it just like it was in Jan. 07. (my last CR trip) The place was loaded with hot Chicas. Today Sat. I walked in and all the girl staff had costumes on. I'm told tonight the place will have many girls decked out.

I have found things more expensive here than all the rest of Latin America I have visited. I'm not only talking about P4P, but food, and lodging.

Meanwhile a lot of rain here, but not to hot which is better than my trips to MGA.

I'm looking forward to this trip as my last visit was in Jan. 2007. The exchange rate then was around 500 C for a buck. Glad to see it is still close to that.

I imagine I might even see a Colombiana or two I know from MDE.
