With this late notice, I doubt you will be able to get a room at SL, DR, or Prez. I would try Castillo or Amistad. They are both very close to SL and rather inexpensive. I suggest joining CRT for more information, as well as getting a VIP car that will pay for itself in a very short time in San Jose. The only problem is, it is probably too late to even get your VIP card what with Zona Blue being closed right now.
Good luck on the room. But the three hotels you mentioned get booked months in advance.
I would not be concerned with the news. Another report has 3 of 4 of the MP's on Calle 6 being closed today. The news was not there for that raid.
WT69,
I don't have first hand knowlege, and will not until Labor Day, but most of the guys on another site feel this is a temporary thing and, once the show is over and the news moves on to something else, that everything will be back to normal. Zona Blue even plans to be re-opened by Labor Day weekend.

With minimal but hopefully sufficient research, I've decided to head to SJ. I've been reading the forum, especially reports of distinction, and finding invaluable advice. So, thanks!
I still have 3 days to study the forum to complete my itinerary and 24 hours before I can PM some of you veterans.
Since I've planned this trip last minute, I'm still waiting for confirmation far a suite at SL.
I'm wondering if its wise to try and reserve a room at Del Rey and El Pres. To cover myself or wait 'til I hit ground and bank on a veteran monger for advice and peace of mind concerning un domicilio.
To be honest, the thread concerning the raid spooked me a bit as I cannot afford (as most cannot) to find myself photographed or on video while ho-ing. I'm coming anyway, but how concerned should I be? I want to be safe, but I cannot miss the action.
My spanish is strong. I'm a great wingman and have busted my cherry in Sosua 3x, Philippines 3x, and Amsterdam 1 time. I don't have a lock on the game but I know, I'm no blocker.
Who's there now/next week (8/6-12) that can link up?

I was there March, April and the first part of May.
Come on 3 chicas would kill me, sometimes two though. Your right 60p to 80p at 3p to US$1. There are still some 40p places.
As for the flight, if you stay longer then the price does not matter.
Yes, I do miss Exedra and now the l'Alliance is closed what will we do?

WT69 bangs 3+ chicks a day, and many of the MPs are currently closed. 3 sportsmens or HDR chicks = $180-$300. When I met WT69, he was hitting up the 60-80 peso privados in Buenos Aires.
But point taken about the airfare. It is cheap to get there.

Posts: 2149Costa Rica is the Place to Monger
Costa Rica is the Place to Monger. (1) Girls from all over the world work there; (2) no hassels from the police when chasing hookers since it's legal; (3) friendly American atmosphere; (4) quality infrastructure and housing; (5) people with whom you can converse; and (6) other activities to partake in between banging sluts!
The Whole 9

Posts: 333I don't think you were in BA last time I was there (March). BA has gone to crap since Excedra closed IMO. Costa is not the place to budget monger these days. Hope we meet again.

Too many places to go, so little time and not much money. I was there last year. Seems so long ago. I was thinking about it, El Salvador mostly, until I checked the Weather Channel.
Thunder Showers every night.
Working on Colombia in October and some how squeeze in Buenos Aires.

Print the List and write down what you find out?

Posts: 146Only 4 out of at least 100 MP's were closed. 5 actually, but we don't count the 5th one because nobody ever goes there. All the girls from New Fantasy are now at their other location Las Gatitas. Yes LG is in a rough barrio, definately want to take a cab there if alone. All of the ZB girls except Pamela ended up at Sportsman's Lodge. They are helping to lower the pricing structure at SL and, from what I hear, pissing all of the SL regulars off. There are many other MP's that are worth checking out, remember, you don't have to stay, but, you may want to.
Del Rey and Blue Marlin are 24/7, and probably have a few new lower priced chicas working there during the day.
I say go for it. I am definately not going to cancel my trip from August 29-Sept. 6.
Zona Blue should be re-opened in a few weeks, and New Fantasy should (I hear) be opened even sooner than that. I can't speak for Musas, 747, or the Dungeon, but don't care for those places anyway.
This happens all the time, all across the world. Somebody makes a stink to the news, the news makes a public stink, the police have to do something so they make a big showing of shutting down a few places. Everything will be back to business as normal soon. From what I hear on the other site, guys are still having the best trips ever right now.

[QUOTE=Mangera]A crew of 7 of us will be staying at Hotel Del Rey in about 3 weeks for a bachelor party that will define all bachelor parties!!! Only problem is, if the fiance or any of the crew's wives does a google search of Hotel Del Rey, it basically takes them to various links of reports that dishes the dirt in great detail describing what this place is all about - not good if people plan on staying married when we get back.
QUOTE]
Good Luck with that one, boys! You don't think one of the seven women isn't savy enough to figure what this trip is all about? Hope you have enough money left over for divorce court!

As for Zona Blue, all I can say is that I saw Pamela hanging out by the lobby of the Presidente hotel the day before yesterday around 1 pm. Laters!
