I wonder if Taormina is the only main spot now. Has Sportsmen gotten busy on the weekends or evenings again and is it even worth staying there. I enjoy the sportsbar, food, pool table and no charge for bringing girls back to room. Does anyone know if its picked up and benefited from Del Rey changing its business model.

HDR is dead, Taormina is the main spot but sportsmens / castillo / taormina are all walking distance and you can easily hit another spot if you want to check out the talent elsewhere.

But now in preparation for my upcoming trip, I read about people's reports about the Taormina. It sounds promising, but I don't know how much is fluff. Been trying to decide whether its worth spending one of those 4 days in San Jose for the Taormina. It would be a late Saturday night arrival, then take the bus to Jaco on Monday morning. The advantage of the Taormina seems to be the lower prices. Jaco on a Sat night runs $200 session. I here that SJ is $100-150.

It's the same women they just charge more in Jaco since the johns there are less experienced than the patrons in gringo gulch. If you're there solely for chicas and are price sensitive than spend more time in SJ; however Jaco is an actual vacation destination whereas SJ is kind of a dump. The math is if its worth it to save $100/ night and be in a sewer instead of the beach. Tbh I actually prefer SJ because the pensions are a great value daytime option that doesn't exist in Jaco.

Planning a short getaway to CR, was planning for 3-4 days in Jaco. Been to Cocal several times and love it. I also remember the days when the Del Rey was running hot. That was great, but I hear it has since closed down. I once stopped by the Sportsmen's Lodge back in the day and was not impressed. And I heard its only gotten worse.

I'll be down Friday for ten days. In San Jose give Alcazar a try. Plenty of good looking girls. Its about 5-7 minute cab ride from the Old Del Rey. There is a manager? There that lived in the Bronx for many years. Will hook you up with the girl for an hour upstairs at about $200. Pricey for San Jose. The norm now in Jaco. Plan on visiting Tango India where I haven't been since COVID to see what's happening.

I would love to hear about Tango India for some late night options. And the club feel. I've been meaning to check that place out. What was it like before Covid.

Daytime I've only tried Pension Monicas and have had real nice experiences. BBBJ for slight upcharge like 10 k and deep DFK (deepfrenchkissing) included, base price must have changed since I've went. But remember it being reasonable. Walls are thin room is quite small. Some girls prefer to talk in low voice about extras.

How prevalent are piercings? I am not so interested in ear or belly button piercings. How common are tongue, face, lip, nipple and clit piercings? The best BBBJ I ever received was from a girl with a tongue piercing, but the piercing itself does not insure a good experience. Technique is most important.

I know tattoos are common. But how often do you see extensive tattooing?

Finally, how extensive is the hard drug problem? Is it "most" like at a US strip club?

Smoking is not allowed indoors. Huge penalties for allowing it. No bars, no hotel rooms.

Hard drugs. Not sure what your question is, but yes, they are around and you want absolutely nothing to do with them.

Tatoos, yep very common.

And strip clubs? Not sure what you mean by "like US strip clubs" but I think not. I'm not familiar with US strip clubs, but in Costa Rica you can usually take the stripper to a private room for sex, for a fee. It is very expensive at high end clubs, and less at low end clubs.

I am extremely pleased to inform you that Costa Rica has some of the best and most restrictive anti-smoking laws on the planet and it's not allowed indoors anywhere. Hence CR has a much lower percentage of smokers than most countries. Now that's not to say that a gringo bar like Bar Poa won't let you smoke but don't count on it.

The only concrete answer to your questions is that the vast majority of gringo hotels do not allow smoking in the hotel.

The tattoo and jewelry piercings is hit or miss; I've encountered girls with both tattoos and piercings.

Some girls smoke, some don't. A lot of girls vape.

Hardcore drug use is pretty prevalent in Costa Rica, by a select few. I've been with girls who I'm certain were doing coke in the bathroom in my room.

There are plenty of massage options on Skokka, both professional and with extras that offer in-home and outcall services.

In addition, all of the pension options in San Jose will offer full service.

I received a cut and paste whatsapp message from a HCTOR MENDEZ as I left San Jose. Wondering if anyone else got this? In my week stay I managed to meet two girls in Taormina (one good, one awful) and none from SA or Skokka..

LOL this happened to me in C. R, girl wanted some money, cash and no card, she was high off coke and some other drug, when I refused she said she was going to send the hittas after me, my flight was in the morning I just laughed.

The hotels with casinos do not welcome working girl guests. The ways in which they do this varies, for example the guest fee for the Holiday Inn downtown is around $100 US last time I heard. Not sure about the other 2 or 3 but I expect they are the same.
