    CR versus Panama

Mr. D. Head had some good insights about the difference; so I will add mine to this trove of info. After many years of visiting the chicas in CR, I now go to Panama City. Mr. Head is right on the girls; in PTY most are sharks from Colombia and Venezuela who watch the clock (altho I did get very lucky with a regular from Colombia who was fun) while the Ticas in CR are more like party girls you have known in your past (high school, college, etc.). So there's that. Price? Well, 100 will get you a good time in either place. So the reason I will pass on CR now is simply this preference: I just got tired of the poverty in CR. For many years I could look away because the action is so great; but I just reached a point where I need a more upscale environment, and PTY has many attributes of Miami minus the beach: fancy restaurants, nice condos and malls, etc. No poverty unless you search for it; no need to step over people sleeping on the sidewalk (CR) no pushing through touts, bums, etc (the delray). It's easy to look the other way when the chicas are so fun, but after a while it got to me. I'm a world traveler, and I know poverty is a fact of life, I simply got tired of the the decay that is San Jose. And Jaco? Yikes what a dump. Dirt streets, nothing other than the Cocal to interest me, dirty beaches, etc. I had a blast in San Jose for many years, I just can't get past the decay, the poverty now. Anyway, both places are fun. YMMV! Bat.

    Take out from Del Rey

I think the gals at Del Rey would be happy to accompany you to your condo; I had no problem getting take-out. I just left CR; was staying elsewhere but went by Del Rey 2 days ago on Monday night. I've stayed there before, but this was work trip and hotel was about 15 - 20 minutes away this trip, so no way I was bringing them back or getting $100+ room at Del Rey. My new friend was happy to leave, but didn't know of a short time hotel nearby. She got directions from security, and a $2 cab ride took us to "Hotel The Office" about 5 blocks from Del Rey for $16 (plus $4 for condoms and her toothpaste). We had a good time, and got a cab to drop her off at Del Rey on my way back to hotel in Pinares (no action out that way).

Monday nights are not very lively, so I picked the best I saw, but nothing there as good as I had met on a Friday / Saturday trip a few months back. I couldn't hear her name, but she was a short blond (fake hair) with moderate fake tits and ass implants that I didn't notice until I grabbed her. She had a problem with her throat and couldn't talk above a whisper, but worth listening to her. I wasn't in the mood to negotiate and she was worth the $100, especially since a hand job happy ending at home is about $150. Kinda reverse. Instead of traditional massage, the happy came first then came a facial massage that was alone worth the price of admission.

Have a good time, and hope the advice on this forum helps; it has certainly changed the way I travel.

I am considering a condo rental for my 3 night stay, in the vicinity of hotel del Rey and the park. I am iffy on it because I am not sure if the working girls would come back to a condo or do they prefer to stay in the establishments where they are working? Would it be better to find "freelancers" to come back to the condo and if so where would the best place be to scout for them in that area? I guess I am looking for a GFE where the girls will party with us and then head back to the condo.

    Sorry for the newbie question.

    Thanks for any advice.

Not a beach guy. Don't like heat, pigmentationally challenged, ancestors trotted out of the dark peat bogs of Ireland, never been to Jaco. I was in Quepos and it about killed me. You do know that is the exact middle of the monsoon season, right?

I'd be staying in SJ if it were my first trip and I only had five days. Others may feel differently. But others may not look like a pomegranate after 45 minutes in the sun.

Furthermore, you have a lot more free-lancers in SJ, where you can go to many regular bars and find hookers. I have never paid $100 in either country. I pay $80 at Hbanos. In CR, many of the places have fixed prices. There are few like that in Panam as well, but not as many. Panam City is much too hot and humid for me. In Panam, the cabs do not have meters and even though there are set prices in PC, it's a big argument getting them. Panam has too many colombianas with fake tits, fake asses, and fake smiles. CR is mostly ticas and nicas, especially if you stay out of the Del Rey. Nicas are a lot more down-to-earth than colombianas. It's illegal to walk down the street with a beer in PC whereas in SJ, as long as it's not glass, you are okay. CR has better hiking and birding and the volcanoes and such are closer to the capital than in Panam. It's a lot easier to get weed in Costa Rica.

In SJ you have some choices like Sportsman's Lodge, Mnica's, New Fantasy and Bar Malibu that don't quite have panamanian equivalents. So I would say there is a bit more variety of venues, as well as more venues, in Costa Rica. Food and booze in the grocery store is a bit more expensive in Costa Rica, though, and the fact that Panam uses the US dollar is convenient. The airport in SJ is quicker and cheaper to get to and from than PTY is, although PTY is a better airport overall. I would say somewhat more English is probably spoken in Panam, although I am not the best judge of that since I don't use it in either country.

So, personally I much prefer Costa Rica and only find myself in Panam City because of flight connections. Boquete in Panam is very nice, that is where I lived, but there is not a hell of a lot going on there other than one venue in David that is also full of colombianas.

It seems the price point is about the same. I don't really know why, but I get the impression just from RTFF that Costa Rica just is that good any more. Can some of you guys with experience in both places help me make my decision. Do I return to PTY again or do I pop my CR cherry?? Thank you all! H1.

What exactly is there to handle? It's not rocket science.

Business as usual at New Fantasy

Arrived at New Fantasy and picked Jimena. I did not see any change from the last time I visited five years ago, so it appears business as usual. A beautiful half Tican half Italian knockout. I did the half hour, but blew too quickly from her BBJ, so I added another half hour and had a good full service session. Total damage was $100.00 USD. 40 $ for each half hour and $20.00 for the BBJ. The only turn off was she was a little dirty. I gave her a massage afterward and noticed she had dirty feet, which indicated she did not shower before the session. She was wearing shoes, so it is not like it happened walking down to the room. I did DATY on her and she tasted fine, but I showered right before coming and expect ladies in the business to do the same.

They're hawking on street corners, not hiding out waiting to jump people. Plus they aren't going to do much effective running in high heels. Lolol There are plenty of walkers in the Gulch and nearby areas during the early evening and they aren't all fools.

That said, it is best that newbies and other guys that don't know their way around to cab it.

The problem in CR generally is your typical taxi driver can't find his ass with both hands, and / or they are trying to game you. And addresses are useless if you provide streets, even on business cards, as most think in terms of landmarks. Is true that they all know where the Del Rey is, as well as the Holiday Inn. But other spots in the Gringo Gulch, good luck. To avoid the nonsense I often walk up until about 10 pm. Life involves risks, but they are minimal if you avoid the park.
