Went to Monica's and fought a cute girl. Less than 40 for BBBJ and FS. Offered anal for 40. At Relax about 2 in the afternoon Sunday. Only a couple of girls but one was a looker. Less than 40 for the same service as Monica's and once again offered anal for 40. Today I saw the first hooker walk into the hotel at 10 AM. Yes the Taormina stays busy. Hey guys, I just got back from SJ recently. Went there for Super Bowl weekend and stayed at the Rey. Here are a few of my observations:

- They did a little bit of upgrade in the lobby area, but not much else.

- The rooms are still the same. No upgrade to the bathrooms or anything, but they raised the prices. I think they painted the walls of the rooms and that's about it. It's a shame because the bathrooms and plumbings in the rooms were in badly needs of an upgrade.

- The chica fee is $19 when I first checked in on Friday, but by Sunday they had raised it to $22 (ouch). That's a bit steep to me.

- Not many chicas there, yet. But it was their re-opening weekend so maybe in time more will start showing up.

- The one good thing was Blue Marlin stayed open all night. What that means is that if you're a guest there you can hang out all night. Same for the girls, if they're inside by midnight they don't have to leave and can stay as long as they want to.

I went to Taormina on Saturday night and it was packed with many girls. Overall, I still like the rooms and beds at Taormina better and the $10 chica fee. I'm coming back for Halloween weekend and probably will stay at Taormina. Even though I love the Rey and have been going there since 2010 until Covid hit, I just don't like the $22 chica fee. That's a bit too much for me. I hope the Rey survives and stays in business, but they would have to do some upgrade to the rooms or something to justify charging the $22 chica fee and the higher room prices.

How is the curfew down there. Is there is everything closed by 12? Or, is there anything open a little later. Maybe on the 4th floor? Did you get to check out hotel Castillo. They might have some talent by the bar. I am thinking about a short trip. But, that curfew sucks. I don't get going until 8 or 9. And, I guess based on your report. Because there are no guests at Del Ray. It must be very dry of talent.

Excellent report, thanks. Just one small note. I don't think that the Sportsmans (SL) has any short term rooms, they never have had and it would surprise me greatly. They have 20 some rooms for hotel guests, but not cheap. I've stayed in a few of them, it's great to be on site and able to pull a gal to your room. You are right that they check for vaccinations in order to have 100% capacity.

And INS building has a few ATMs, 2 outside on the front, and another on the second floor. It is the national insurance headquarters, although there is a bank branch also there on the second floor.

Sorry, I wasn't implying that the rooms were "short-termed rooms."

There were about 20 to 30 girls at the Taormina until late. Several outside as well. Most started at 100, a few at 150. I fucked a good looking girl about a 8 or so for 50 mil. Talked to a couple of guys staying at the Sportsman. Said it was more quality than quantity and showed a picture of a couple who were in the 9 category. They both said the HDR was open but not finished. Said they saw no one outside and a couple inside. Headed to Monica's and then Relax this morning. Found a pension on simplescorts that has a few girls who do anal. Headed there later today or tomorrow. The Taormina is nice but I have a room in the front and it is noisy. Impressed so far. Place is hopping.

Just returned from a trip to SJO. Here are a few observations:

HDR has reopened; opened about a week ago. One of my old girl regulars said there were only three guests staying there, as of last week. A lot of the old bartenders have returned. The casino is NOT open and looks like it will not be for a while. All the casino equipment, except for a few of the card tables, have been removed. It looks like someone's old rec room; sad indeed. Word is that there had been ten investors; now down to eight. The Blue Marlin Bar was pretty busy for the Super Bowl, but so were most of the other bars that mongers visit. As far as the talent, there were some of the same girls I fucked 10 - 15 years ago, LOL. I doubt that I'll return for a stay at the HDR; at least not in the near term.

Hotel Taormina: I stayed at the Taormina over Super Bowl weekend. It's one of the biggest weekends to go to CR for the big game. There were three whirlwind night's activities; "Neon Light Night", "Wet T-Shirt Night" and of course the SB party. Good News: The plexiglass partitions have been taken down in the bar and the casino. Masks are still requited in the hotel, the casino and to get into the sports bar. Once you're inside the bar, the mask can come off. The quality of the girls has been improving since this was my third trip down since July of last year.

Sportsman's Lodge: I stopped in SL for the first time on Friday night. It was very active in preparation for the SB. Note: We were asked to show our QR code for entry. It might be that they are voluntarily doing this so they can be 100% capacity. Had a few drinks and my buddies had some food. There is a large rectangular bar, then a smaller bar behind a dividing wall. My understanding is that they have 7 guest rooms on-site with a chica fee of $15. The music in the bar was way too loud for me; no way to have a conversation without yelling. The quality of the girls was ok; nothing spectacular. Note: If you miss a girl you saw at one bar, you'll likely see her later at another bar. All the girls seem to hop around from one location to another.

Little Havana Bar: We stopped in there on Friday night as well. The bar is located about two blocks up the hill from the Taormina; not a bad walk. It as a big night that night as one of the waitresses was celebrating her birthday. It was pretty crowded with Tico regulars, some Gringos, pro's and non-pros alike. One girl at the bar quoted $150; she was pretty hot though. LH looks like it'd be a nice place to take a date. Note: We went back to the bar on Saturday night and it was closed; there may have a private party. Not sure why; it appeared they were open on SB Sunday.

Skokka: Used this App for the first time. The girl I sought out met me at the Taormina, but her photos on the App were old and the girl had given birth since. So, she was a bit larger that advertised, LOL. Cost was 60,000 for BBBJ, DATY and sex in multiple positions.

General: None of the casinos have an ATM. You can do a cash advance with a credit card though. Also, I came upon an ATM that is in English in a safe area. There is a tall building with "INS" on the top. It's actually a bank about two blocks from the Gulch hotels and Parque Morazan. There are two ATMs on the building exterior at the bank entrance. The ne on the left (closest to the main door) operates in English. Not sure if there is a limit; I took out 200,000 colones with no issues.

My first time to the hotel del rey was in the fall of 1998. It took forever to walk from one end of the bar area to the other with chicas offering services, asking for drinks and grouping the gringos. Great fun! Even a fraction of that atmosphere today with the HDR reopening would be cool. Maybe better even. Elevator tax back then was $10. Today I "hear' it is $20. OK, inflation over 20 yrs. Planning a trip in late April IF Covid testing to return to US is eliminated for fully vaxed. Even with the low probability of a positive test I don't want to get quarantined there. Will update after visiting. My last trip was early 2019. CR hobby was still going strong then. Pura vida.

If you wanted "company" in Jaco on your fishing trip 20 years ago you needed to bring one from SJO to the Hotel Cocal, which was a quiet beach hotel. Since 2013 or so Cocal is flooded with chicas on weekends post pandemic albeit with substantial price inflation I hear from my local buddies.

Taormina, Castillo and Sportsman's have also filled the SJO gap in last two years my local friends tell me. One night in SJO on arrival and one night pre-departure works best for me. I love gringo gulch but I also like the warm weather on the coast. The chicas split their time between SJO (during week) and Jaco (weekends). We shall see how this all plays out in the coming months although I think it will only improve as restrictions wane.

BTW, if Medellin had a beach.

Hopefully HDR will be fun again, soon we will know! Back 20 yrs ago was no need to bring girls to Jaco, don't forget about the Beetle Bar (lots and lots of fun) and a couple others, and the one that was right on beach down a side street, can't remember the name of that one!
