Speaking of prices, what's a reasonable price for anal? If I meet someone at delrey I might quote 60. Is it unreasonable to pay cien for BBBJ and anal? Or do guys pay more than that on average?

The "locals" (CR natives, what few that want to / can afford to monger in "Gringo Gulch", and the expats) routinely "hold the line" at $40. 00 (20, 000CRC) for an hour (inclusive of a BBBJ).

If we all hold the line at $60 for the hour and expect BBBJ and DATY to be standard services then the girls will come around. Hold the line guys don't give in.

IMO, per Chris Long, this is reasonable!

BUT, as has been posted many times previously in this forum, ALWAYS negotiate the price and what is expected and NEVER pay "up front"!

AND if the provider, while in the room (whether it be a hotel, a short-term "hot sheet" location or apartment)"hems and haws" about the price and / or demands more (trying to "cash in" on the customer's vulnerability),"show them the door"!

Remember two issues:

- IMO, from what I've observed, this is not a culture that appreciates generosity and, in general, you'll be viewed in a "negative light"!

- The average weekly income in CR is slightly over $220. 00, gross (and I'm unsure is any of this is withheld for CAJA, etc.) which means a daily salary of $45. 00 (+-) for a five day, forty hour work week. And many work six days, forty-eight hours to earn this amount.

IMO, you have the money so you have the power and, especially at this time of the year, it's a "buyers market"!

Chris outstanding post and information. I have been studying this forum for a short while. Your post is by far one of the most detailed and informative posts I have read in this forum. I enjoyed every bit of it. And will certainly rely on some of this for any future trips to CR. The one problem I'll have to deal with, is paying 80 to 100 bucks for only an hour of service at a place like the Del Rey, and no guarantee of BBBJ, DATY, DFK or GFE. I am accustomed to having all of that in the Dom Rep (Sosua) for 80 to 100 TLN. I hate being on the clock. Which is probably why I don't do places like La Passions (Sosua) , or casas in general. The MP's in CR seem like a decent bargain at 30 to 50 bucks. Sometimes all I want is a decent massage and bust a nut. Don't think I need to "blow" 100 bucks with a clock watcher hoping for a quick nut. I'm willing to bet, places like Thailand & PI are better suited for a monger getting his moneys worth in terms of service. But can he find stunners there like in CR, DR, Brazil or Colombia?

From what I can see in photos and videos, there are some gems over in Asia for sure. And many more to choose from. One thing I would like to know about CR, is whether it's worthwhile from a monger point of view to divide a trip between San Jose and Jaco Beach rather than stay just in SJ for an entire trip. Any thoughts from those who have done both CR locations lately?

San Jose: This is probably my last trip here. I've been 3 times and I've never had a really bad time, yet never had a really good time. I will say, if you plan well, you can make it a very affordable trip (Spirit Air, Morazon Hotel, Bus to / from Airport, etc). My 3-day trip including air / hotel / car / food / girls was around $600.

My next destination: I have no clue. I'm burned out on the Latin America scene. Is there a small (or large) town in Latin America that's been unaffected by visitors and has a mongering scene? I have a feeling the Philippines is still good, I just don't think I can find the time to go all the way over there.

I personally think getting away with $600 for a 3 day trip is where you went wrong, the saying you get what you pay for comes to mind. You seem to like the leachy type girl who wants to suck onto you and not let go, which runs high in the Philippines. Here is the thing if you do some pre-work before you go somewhere you can find girls like that no matter how affected by visitors the area is. I've found girls that act just like Pinay in Tijuana. I think you should treat it more like a vacation and spend a little. A trip to Philippines will be more just from the flight alone.

In my opinion, the Castillo is the best hotel on the lower price point group. Nice rooms, cheap, and close to everything. Next door to the Hemingway. It is actually in the gringo gulch.

I've stayed at the Castillo a number of times. I found the rooms overlooking Avenida 9 to be EXTREMELY noisy, for reasons of both street noise and hard wood floors. I was much more pleased with the 2nd-floor rooms in the back wing, #s 20-23, I believe. Pleasant management and a good vibe there.

You say you want to try somewhere different. My advice is for you to do it. Life tends to pass quickly by. Myself I try to limit my regrets to a minimum. Sure you will find some curvy thicker girls with big butts and meaty thighs in Costa Rica. The problem is these Gorditas want the same price as the Spinners. A true monger should make at least one trip to CR. A walk thru the Del Ray is an experience in itself.

You only live once! I went ahead and booked it for Jan 10th, hopefully all the chicas are back from the holiday break by then. Still not sure which hotel I'm going to go with. I've narrowed it down to Dunn, Amistad, or Morazon. My wing wants to stay in Del Rey and never leave the hotel LOL. I checked the prices for DelRey and its $62 a night including tax. Not bad at all. Any downsides to Delrey besides the chica fee?

I was wondering if there are many curvy thicker girls with big butts and meaty thighs like you would find in places like DR or Brazil. Am I just wasting my time going there? I could always go back to Brazil or DR but I want to try somewhere different.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations or phone number for particularly busty ticas in SJ, Jaco or Quepos I would really appreciate it. I prefer slim and stacked but if she's a little overweight it's ok. I prefer TLN and would consider takng her to MA Park for river rafting, etc, if she was a fun time. I'll be very nice to her.

Thanks for all the great information in recent posts. I'll be visiting CR in late Feb / early March for two weeks for the first time and want to maximize quality sex time. I've decided to rent a car because I'm attending a conference in Jaco and want to see Manuel Antonio Park, too.

I stayed there for one night this Nov, and with the tax it was $57. 50. Good breakfast included. The room was not very nice, and the TV was not much bigger than 15 inches. In the daytime not a bad walk to the Gultch.
