You even had my old room. I was there last month in that room and I agree with everything you said about the HLH and SJ, Boyd and Gregg are great host and really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time and hook you up with the necessary vitamins at a good price. I will not be in CR in March but I will probably be there or DR in mid April. DR is great. All the waitresses you come across are fair game and will probably go with you if you pay the bar fine or you get their number and you promise maybe $50+. The bars across the street from Classicos have some very nice bar girls and they were all semi-pros. First of all, thanks a great deal for this site. I thought I would contribute my experience as well.

Day 1. Plane landed around 2pm, took a $20 cab ride to HLH. Like they said, ignore the official cab drivers and walk out to the main entrance of the airport and you can get the $20 ride instead of $28+. Good report Booey, I wouldn't worry about overpaying in SJ, I saw guys splashing money on girls in Del Ray and Key Largo like there was no tomorrow, so $80/2 hours / 2 nuts is a good deal, to be honest I managed $60/$70 but that was only one shot and they were out of the door so quickly I don't think it was even stretched to 1 hour. So I prefer your deal if I could get it!

To be honest I didn't like this $100 start up quote, it was just so ridiculous. I mean, they start so high with most of them no DFK and no BBBJ and a 1 hour, one shot deal, then you have to haggle them down and include all those as well, hard work.

I didn't mind if they, say, start with $50 and then I would pay them more and settle for, say, $70 with all the extras included. It just starting at the wrong end of the price that throw me off a bit over there!

Glad you enjoyed the report. I actually flew out to PHX to meet up with my friend and we caught a UsAirways flight non-stop PHX-SJO, roundtrip. FYI, these flights are daily, but I believe that Usair decreases the service as winter draws to a close. I believe that the flight would cost around $510 roundtrip, but I'm not sure as I have travel benefits on UsAirways and only pay tax and airport fees. Vegas-Phoenix-San Jose is not too bad, the PHX-SJO leg is about 5 hours. The only thing I did not like, the return flight departs at 7:40am and the ticket counter closes at 6:40am, at least you get home pretty early.
