I think you need to work on your deductive reasoning skills. How do these 2 "pieces of info" confirm that it was an inside job? I fail to see the connection.

He arrived in country and as soon as he passed through immigration, he was flagged. One article even stated that the authorities literally followed him with a camera from hooker spot to hooker spot filming him entering and exiting these places. Evidence! Did he post on FB or one of his other sites while in town? If so, more evidence! That wasn't his fault either, right?

He wasn't arrested coming in because OIJ wouldn't have known when he would come. But as soon as his passport was swiped, he was probably a marked man. Sure, they could have arrested him at any point after he got into town. But they knew what he was there for, so they gave him the rope and watched (and filmed) as he hung himself with it. Undoubtedly, they must have had numerous opportunities to arrest him, but we all know that the CR government loves a big spectacle, so what better way to get some attention that arresting a gringo at the airport. It was for show.

There was no reason to rat him out. He made his own bed trying to play celebrity world monger. He so wanted to be well known and recognized, so it was pretty easy to grab him. Unfortunately, he didn't heed the warnings he was given. So now it's time to pay the piper. The person who put the knife in his back was himself.

How do you know he was warned? Also you say he was followed going from hooker spot to spot. Where is that breaking the law? If that is the case we would all be in jail. Yes I know of his web site. I have looked at it many times, and I saw him breaking no laws with his great reports.

The problem is the Political Correct bung holes who are jealous of someone having a good time while hurting no one.

It rains heavy to sporadically 3-4 months of the year in CR so the girls are in SJ like normal. Re: Jaco chicas in the green season, poster OneLuckyDogg would give you the lowdown. You ought to contact him anyway, I presume he has a website, have him pick you up at the airport for a reasonable fee and bring you to your hotel, stop at Walmart for whatever, change money, whatever else. But in that hour he will school you and you will be one step way ahead. Not very complicated anymore, but a little.

Can someone comment on the girl situation in San Jose (Del Rey) or at Cocal in Jaco? I know it is the rainy season and will be arriving in CR. Next Friday. Not sure if the rain puts a damper on the quantity and quality of girls at either location, any comments are appreciated.

Jeb-Was there a week ago; 6 days San Jose, 4 in Jaco; rained only a few days, usually in the afternoon; Del Ray usually didn't get cooking 'till later in the night, so didn't notice any problems. One bad thunderstorm in Jaco, otherwise was nice{hot}. My first time in Costa Rica {have been to Thailand}, and I found the women off the charts. Very skilled at there profession. Had great luck at Sportsman's Lodge; for instance, one night a stunner came in, student, had forgot rent was due the next day. Pulled from Del Ray a couple times, all good. The girls at Cocal struck me as more hardened professionals, but gorgeous. Never made it to the massage parlors in San Jose, there are bargains to be had. Hope this helps. Gary.

In the video, Dave was being led out of the departures desk. He was being led out by OIJ agents. OIJ is the CR equiv of FBI. These two pieces of info confirm it was an inside job.

First, had Dave been wanted by the OIJ prior to his arriving, his passport would have flagged it when he entered the country, and he would have been detained then, not over a week later when he was leaving.

Second, he was being led away by the OIJ. The OIJ doesn't work the airport. They were there for him, and him only. They waited until he arrived at the desk, then arrested him. Meaning they were told when he would be there, and what his real name was.

Right now, in a dark cell in Costa Rica, Dave's wondering who put the knife in his back, if he doesn't already know.

This is my first trip in CR. This time also mark my first year as a monger. I started in DR last year in August 2014, then followed with Medellin in October 2014, Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Santa Marta in December 2014, Medellin and Barranquilla again in May 2015 and now CR in August 2015. The flight.

I booked my flight through google flights https://www.google.com/flights/ and paid about $480 purchased a month in advance for a round trip from JFK / NYC to San Jose with a stop in Fort Lauderdale. I got Jet blue and this airline rocks with great service, laptop computers to use at JFK, spacious plane, wifi on plane, and free movies / entertainment and lots of free chips, cookies and soda / water. On Spirit airline they give you shit and those planes are tiny.

Day 1 Tuesday Arrival in San Jose, the fun begins.

ATM / Exchange.

I arrived at 11 am in San Jose. I found an ATM of Nova Scotia bank. With my Capital one card https://home.capitalone360.com/ Igot 100000 colones or 200 USD at a 526 colones per dollar including 1500 colones ATM fee or 3 USD. I did not get charge any fees from Capital one, same no fees as in the DR and Colombia.

I have to give you props for this report. I'm going to CR in November and I'm taking a friend who has never been there. The information provided will be really helpful for me and showing him around for a good time. Thanks Cerebro.

The shit Cubadave is facing is fucking serious. He made tons of CR YouTube videos, posted tons of photos of CR hookers in facebook and his sites and was selling CR ebooks. The CR authorities can screw him easily because there is tons of evidence on the web proving the point he was promoting sex tourism, talking about how great is CR for P4P, and his video tips and videos with girls, photos, articles, hotel, MP recommendations, etc etc. Too bad he is going to be an scapegoat.
