They call the police, not a pimp. In all my time in Costa Rica and Colombia I have never met anyone that had an interaction with a pimp. But many that have had disagreements with girls and ended up talking to the police. And they often side with the girl. Often that is the correct side, but sometimes not.

The new hotel, LuxHigh, is open. I walked through there yesterday afternoon. The Marlin bar is still there, the lobby bar is still there, the casino is gone. Name is changed to Luxhigh and it is trying to be a general tourist hotel. They were not allowing and hooker types in the door unless they were with a hotel guest, but those policies may or may not last. Whether the hotel lasts or not is an open question, but there has not been anything going on like in the past when it was Del Rey.

Del Rey doesn't exist any more. But I suspect you already knew that. Castillo is liked by many for the all inclusive option for meals and drinks. It is a lot smaller than the Taormina however and will only have a few girls at most at any time. Typically at most around half a dozen.

Well I made it to the Taormina last night and here is my adventures so far. Thanks Frenchie and Zeos for the tips on currency. I bring cash with me on these trips. I stopped by the currency exchange at the San Jose airport and their rate was terrible I would have lost 20% value so I declined..

I always had colonnes with an ATM, no easy to find a change office in San Jos except in Bank.
