Posts: 217Check out Hotel Little Havana for Camilla. Her tits are epic but make sure to talk to her a little while first. When she's good, she is awesome but if she's in a sour mood she is no fun at all.

Posts: 345it's superbowl weekend in costa rica, the busiest weekend of the year for hotels that cater to our hobby. there are a few options for gringo party goers. here are a few of the options and my wise ass observations.
1. my party. as the owner ticaland, i couldn't resist capitalizing on the superbowl frenzy to promote ticaland. partnering with hotel little havana was a no brainer, and avoiding, or attempting to avoid mistakes made by my competitors by keeping it simple. who knows how it will turn out, but it doesn't seem too difficult. keeping it free certainly doesn't hurt.

2. mona lisa. the is a bright new hotel with a promising future. this hotel offers a change of pace to the guy going to costa rica. nicer rooms, great space, nice restaurants, lovely bars and bartenders, and a casino that will be at full speed within a month. this place has made a few of the existing players nervous. namely the sportsman's lodge, hotel amistad, and obviously the del rey. all horseshit in my opinion. the uneasy feeling comes from the 3rd world monopoly mentality that they would rather have 20% of 600 total rooms, than 15% of 6, 000. vegas would be a good example. all the original casinos thought the bright new shiny resorts would put them out of business. instead, it provided more options and multiplied the amount of tourists going to vegas. even the shitty little off-strip motels prospered.
in typical tortilla republic fashion, they prefer picking the scraps off the del rey's table to being a part of a larger community that actually gives them a seat at their own table. not to mention this new ownership group is happy to work with them. when was the last time any of these hotels got a call from the del rey to send overflow to them? never, that's when. if the rey is booked up the dates you want to go, they don't suggest any other places to stay, they tell you to change your dates, or they hang up on you.
3. the sportsman's lodge. this is a well run hotel, run by an honest man who cares for his guests. that alone should ensure prosperity in a growing community. they host all crt events. superbowl party included. the party costs $55, and includes plenty of food and booz. at this price point, the event appeals to guys who intend to get their money's worth. so there will be no shortage of heavy-set guys drunk off their ass by the end of the party. some of my best buddies are overweight alcoholics, but i digress. the point is, bill's a good guy running a good hotel. the uneasy feeling he has over having 93 new hotel rooms in the same market comes from the fact that the sportsman's lodge has been the centerpiece of the crt monopoly for years. now that the monopoly has been broken, and the ground is shifting, a little nervousness is understandable.
i'll expand on this a little. until recently, crt has held a monopoly when it comes to single male tourism in costa rica. and the sportsman's lodge has been the centerpiece of that monopoly. both enjoying mutual benefits from this type of relationship. over the years, tommy, the owner of crt had been a part of the community and its success. a combination of economic problems in the us, and some unfortunate health problems have slowed tommy's interest in costa rica altogether.
the problem with monopolies, is that when the guy in the captain's chair suffers, everyone suffers. costa rica hotels lost ground to destinations like medellin, dominican republic, and even tijuana because the party was over for tommy. bill, being the loyal guy he is, stood firm and protected the monopoly. like a rottweiler guarding an abandoned house, never realizing the owner moved away and left him there. the fact is, tommy will never be a regular part of the cr community again. he's moved on, and has been trying to sell his site to anyone with the means to buy it, regardless how it plays out to the local businesses on the ground. he'll remain remotely engaged as long as crt continues to provide enough revenue to justify involvement, or he sells the site.
i make this observation without judgement, i'm not sure that i wouldn't think the same way if i were tommy, or bill for that matter. while i get along with tommy, and am friends with bill, i also have friends in this community operating businesses that have suffered under the combination a tough recession and waning crt interest. honest men trying to make an honest living.
the del rey. this flyer is telling of the del rey's view of it's audience / clients. it lists "cold drinks" prominently as a featured event. suggesting that refrigerated beverages were previously unavailable, but are being made available for this special occasion. or that "cold drinks" will be an exclusive offering at the del rey, and none of the other parties will have access to refrigerated beverages on sunday. it also recommends reserving vip seating. in the 3rd world, this most likely means they will either close off a section that would normally be free and will now charge for it, or they will block off the bathroom access for patrons not participating in the vip event. it's that ridiculous. in the tico mentality, upcharge never comes in the form of extra goods and services, but in ransoming back a critical item like bathroom access. everything about this ad suggests the rey stopped giving a shit long ago. when someone has such a dominant share of the market for so long, this is what happens.
fernanda still looks good. albeit the years have made it gradually more difficult to hide her bitterness. this picture also suggests she should lay off the bar food.
whatever you're doing for the big game, make sure you're surrounded by friends and don't bet too much, this game could go either way.

Posts: 345Not sure about the Riviera, but the Marriott doesn't allow chicas. It is about 20 minutes to the action at the Del Rey. If you plan to monger, you will need to either find another location to take girls to, or change your location to a girl friendly hotel. Going to places who provide onsite sessions are also an option.

Hi,
First time in Cost Rica, I will arrive 7th, stay the night at La riviera, then leave for the nicoya peninsula, until the 17th and then stay at the Marriot. Is possible to bring chicas there?
How far is it to the action? Please, as I sad, new to CR, so any ideas will be appreciated.
