For airbnb, I thought about bringing girls back and I was never told not to but honestly I felt bad and there was no need. I was going to meet with one of girls but we were going to head to a short time motel but she couldn't make it last minute. There were some rooms near the Del Rey area for very low prices that you should check out.

What places are you talking about that have closed down? For some pensions I would recommend checking out New Fantasy, relax and Monica. 360 seemed nice but it was not open when I went so I didn't check it out but I am going to next time I go.

I stayed with her for nearly 90 mn. On retrospect, it was a very bad idea and was lucky to get somebody like her.

Talent at the SL varies, just like it does at the DR. There are less women are the SL, but on average they are more attractive and not as hard core as the the ones at the DR. At both places you can sit and talk with the ladies, but no place to dance. Food and drink prices are much less at the SL. Most of the food at the SL is good, and definitely not just bar food. The bartenders / waitresses are also a cut above what most restaurants offer.

Every time I go to San Jose. Many many times over 25 years. I always go to the Del Rey, Key Largo and SL. I mostly go to the SL just to check it out and eat some bar food while I get ready for the Del Rey.

Of all those times I have yet to get a girl at the SL. Why? I find them generally less attractive and there are much less to choose from there, like 1/10 of the number of girls at the DR.

Yes some girls at the DR are hard core, meaning pros who've been at it a long time. But also there are always many newbies or nearly-newbies at the DR, especially in the afternoon but also at night.

The food at the SL is "okay" but to me most of it does taste like typical so-so bar food.

Also, for a place that serves food, the SL plays the music too loud! Who wants *loud* music blasting while you eat?

The DR has some pretty good pasta dishes too!

The DR offers everything in terms of variety of girls, from amateur college or school girls to professional service providers. Much more to choose from!

And no, I'm not a supporter of Del Rey. I have zero connection to it. But really, the SL pales in comparison if you speak Spanish and want to find the hottest talent. Then around 11 pm sometimes you can find some real talent across the street at the Key Largo!

I have always found the Del Rey to be the best place to monger! Though at one time the original Zona Blue was legendary for great lesbians+you 3 ways!

I was just in CR last week for 5 days (first half of December). I was able to get a hold of Sid whom is the new owner of Zona II. He gave me and my buddies a great deal on a couple of rooms so we stayed there. He is still in the transition of taking over the place, there there are a few growing pains. Mainly with girls. Sid indicated to me that right after new year day he was going to be bringing in a bunch of new ones that he had waiting. A clean sweep I guess. He did also say that he was going to be closed during the week between Christmas and New Year, but would be open again right after new year.

Sid is a pretty nice guy. He is very attentive to guest needs and customer service. He will check on you at least once a day to make sure all is going well. Also offer any help or advice you might want.

As far as contacting them, they gave their website in the post I am quoting. The toll free number does not seem to be working, but the local CR number goes directly to Sid. He also communicates by email.

Just to let ya know. He is up and running and trying to improve it a little more every day.

I recommend Havana, Cuba. A lot cheaper than Colombia or Costa Rica, extremely safe, English speaker-friendly & women are very attractive. You just need to do a bit of research and find a right casa particular.

A few tidbits I booked both stays at the HDR online at a popular travel site. For others who are looking for simplicity then nothing beats that. However, after my most recent trip I actually paid more attention to the advertised room rates when I checked in and out at the HDR and noticed that popular website I'd used is basically gouging people since the room I had (the king room) which if I recall only goes for maybe $72 per night where as the popular website charges from $99-$105 per night which is ridiculous. The only bad thing is it seems the HDR website seems to never work to book your room online so you may have to call directly to actually reserve your room and get that much lower rate which kind of sucks.

Talent at the HDR is ok and can be hit or miss sometimes. Obviously Thu-Sat are the big nights where the most talent can be found, but you can catch some gems other times..

Heck I actually sometimes have seen some of the hottest chicks I've seen at HDR when I was merely passing through the lobby going to / from someplace to grab lunch, dinner, or take care of some other tasks. I've even had one or two tell me they don't like coming their during the evening / nights. Most girls still try to hit you up with an initial rate of $100 although I've had 2 that initially quoted $80. I even had one offer $60 on my 10/13-10/17 trip. Although I didn't take her up on it since I was zeroed in on another chick already I just had to have. For very stupid reasons LOL.

Something that shouldn't need to be said, but should always be followed is to always negotiate with the girls in colones. I got burned by one chick just assuming the whole quick dollars to colon conversion of halving the dollars. I was going to send her back when she pulled that crap. For most girls if you say $80 then it's usually assumed you mean 40 K colons, but she wanted to try to say $80 was 45 K colons. Now I know the real dollars to colons isn't actually a 2 to 1 as it usually is around 1.80 to 1. In that particular case I let it slide and just gave her the 45 K colons. Luckily the session with her ended up being a pretty great session.

One last note on girls is that I've generally found at least for me that Nicaraguan girls seems to be the best at HDR. All of my top sessions have ended up being with Nicaraguan girls at HDR and I didn't know they were Nicaraguan until after the session so be sure and test out them if you find one.

Well I've now been to CR 4 times over the last 1. 5 years although 2 of those were work related with some personal fun days added on to the end of the trip. Even though there is still more in CR to do for me like check out the Jaco scene, Sportsman Lounge, and one of the massage palars. I'm ready to expand my circle and check out Colombia, the Dominican Republic, or someplace else. I live in Miami so direct flights to Central and South America are pretty reasonable just a matter of finding someplace with a scene similar to CR and that is non-Spanish friendly.
