I'm sure that in New York when you go to buy a steak they discount it because it is late at night. You can get a steak at the Waffle House for nine bucks. I guess anyone who pays $30 for a steak at Ruth-Chris Steakhouse is stupid. A steak is a steak, right. The girl he paid $40 per hour for would be $1000 for a couple hours in the states. At 9 pm she could find plenty of takers at $100 for an hour. He didn't take her out of the Del Rey. He called her at her hotel, got her out of bed, after she had called it a night. The $200 or so spent by Eduardo49's friend Chris involved time and additional time spent at Alcazar, a strip club. Not necessarily a bad deal for a strip club that has set pricing and happens to be far and away the best in San Jose. Independents at the SL, Blue Marlin & Key Largo can still be had for $60-80. The sky is not falling!

My last trip here was about 9 months ago, now I live here. I've been coming down here for 25 years, off and on, and always spent at least a few nights at the Del Rey / Key Largo on every trip here. I'm not a big fan of SL though I will go there to eat and have a beer occasionally. Not a fan of the whole scene there. But to each his own. To me the Del Rey is where the real action is and the real test of your skills as a monger. But it's not just about skill, it's about finding the best girl to have the best time. (That's where the skill comes in though.).

I always check out Zona Blue or Zone 2 or whatever the heck the latest incarnation of it is. Used to be really good, lately not so much, but it's always worth a look to me. You never know what you might find there; and I like the bar better than it used to be. Back in the day I actually had the best sex of my life, ever, there! 3 somes with legendary 3 some participants! Lowest price and best sex! Can't beat that! But the past year or two it's been less than great for me there, but I still keep hoping it will get better again. Or maybe I've just gone on the wrong evenings.

The key to mongering at the DR and KL in my opinion, is to.

A) get to know and have fun with the girls at the bar before you negotiate a price;.

B) I never negotiate "you'll do this, you'll do that", I just let it happen and most of the time I get what I want without having to negotiate it; it's all about making them feel comfortable with you. And,

C) learn to separate the wheat from the chaff. Some of the girls Talk a good game but then back in the room they become less friendly and less willing and less fun; the key is to weed these girls out before you make the mistake of taking one back to your room! If you get to know them you can weed out those who are just in it only for the $ and just want to hurry back for the next john).

I have about an 90% success rate and I chalk that up to spending time with them in the bar first and rejecting them at the first sign of their being purely mercenary. The key. IMHO - is to get them to like you and see you as not just $ but as a good time, and a real person, and that drives up your success rate (and drives down the price as well).

I am glad to see this board picking up in terms of activity, first of all. The more people who post, the better, and some of your reports are very good. I applaud all the great new posters. Information is valuable and everyone who posts a report contributes to all of our knowledge and helps us stay at the top of our game.

But I just want to say that paying cien is bulls sheet unless the girl is like THE hottest girl in the room. In other words, only 1 or 2 girls should be getting cien. The rest of you, if you're paying cien for an 8 or 9 (average hot! Then you are driving up the price for the rest of us, instead of negotiating down and that's bull manure. Paying cien generally is for losers who don't know any better.

Yes "everything is more expensive" these days but honestly most of the girls just aren't worth $100 (cien) and if you're not negotiating down you're just being lazy or stupid and Ticas don't respect guys who pay too much, they just laugh at you and think you're an idiot. I'm telling you how it is, I know them. There are places you can get it for $40 or $50 and sometimes they're just as hot as any of the girls at the Del Rey, SL or KL.

It's like guys who tip taxi drivers or guys who tip at restaurants. The Ticos don't do it and they think gringos are stupid for doing it. Don't be stupid!

So, okay, be dumb and lazy if you must but you won't get any respect from those of us who have been mongering here for many years. Each case is individual and there are very few girls worth cien, and most can be gotten for $70-80 if you just try instead of being lazy.

The girls have been asking "Cien" ($100.00) for 20 years, I have been going for a long time also, at the HDR / BMB I normally paid $50.00 to $60.00 for an hour during the daytime (up until 6:00 pm) this should still apply as you can go to the massage parlors & get an hour for $30 to $35 depending on which place you frequent.

During the evening hours at the HDR / BMB, I would also normally pay between $70.00 & $80.00 for an hour for 7's & 8's. But there are a lot of things that come into play, GFE, BBBJ, 3 Positions Minimum, Cum on Face, Cum in Mouth, Ass Spanking, Greek, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, Toda La Noch, etc, etc.

My last encounter with a lovely lady in the HDR was excellent, so good I did back to back nights with her. Ricky is not out to screw you or get you robbed, he's just not the brightest bulb in the ceiling. The people at the Morazan are nice. Especially the super hot girls who work the days are really nice and in all the years I've been going there I've never had even a dollar missing from my room. Ricky's main thing is hustling you for tips or to use HIS friend as a taxi (I'm sure he gets kickbacks), etc. He's harmless and once in a while he'll come through for you on something if you treat him okay, give him a buck here and there.

The rooms are not great but everything usually works okay (toilet, lights, shower, tv) and surprisingly the girls like it because it's close to the DR and KL.

But please don't stay there! Leave it open for me when I need a room!

I've been staying at the Hotel Morazan. There are some pluses and minuses:

Pros.

*If you want proximity to Hotel Del Rey at half the price, this is a great price I payed $141 for two nights after VAT (tax). You can literally walk about 400 ft to enter the hotel. And I don't mind it when I'm walking with a 9 even if she is a pro.

*Hot Water, Good WIFI, Clean Room.

*Proximity to everything tourista. Today I made it to 6 museums, the zoo, three restaurants, two bars, and The Green Palace (great place Ill have to write a review upon) all between 10 am and 5 pm today.

* When you bring a girl up, they take her ID. When she leaves they call you to make sure nothing happened.

*The room service is unbelievably cheap. (See cons).

Cons.

*My main problem with this place is with a fat fuck named Ricardo. He wears a white shirt and tie, sits in the lobby, and looks like management. He apparently works within the hotel coordinating tours or something: he is not in any position where anyone staying in the hotel needs to answer to him.

My issue with him is that he demanded I tell my room number in the lobby (a casino). This was at noon. I am a 38 year old grown man who prepaid for the easement to enter or leave a hotel when I please. Even if I set aside my ego, I am deeply concerned about a bunch of casino patrons knowing when I am and am not in my room. I brought this up with the front desk and they agreed. (Apparently he's done this kind of thing before.) I will be contacting management as I cannot recommend this place to anyone when this individual is putting people's person and property in danger.

* The rooms smell like 1980's Vegas.

* The rooms look like 1980's Vegas.

* The casino has a variation of 21 instead of Blackjack. They usually do this to dumb down the odds.

* I was drunk and the room service food wasn't very good. I'm not sure how you make Pico de gallo, chips, beans, and rice bland. But.

I am trying to be objective about this place. But I'm not getting jumped on the walk to Del Rey or find my electronics stolen when I return to my room.

B) I never negotiate "you'll do this, you'll do that", I just let it happen and most of the time I get what I want without having to negotiate it; it's all about making them feel comfortable with you. And,

C) learn to separate the wheat from the chaff. Some of the girls Talk a good game but then back in the room they become less friendly and less willing and less fun; the key is to weed these girls out before you make the mistake of taking one back to your room! If you get to know them you can weed out those who are just in it only for the $ and just want to hurry back for the next john).

I have about an 90% success rate and I chalk that up to spending time with them in the bar first and rejecting them at the first sign of their being purely mercenary. The key. IMHO - is to get them to like you and see you as not just $ but as a good time, and a real person, and that drives up your success rate (and drives down the price as well).

I am glad to see this board picking up in terms of activity, first of all. The more people who post, the better, and some of your reports are very good. I applaud all the great new posters. Information is valuable and everyone who posts a report contributes to all of our knowledge and helps us stay at the top of our game.

But I just want to say that paying cien is bulls sheet unless the girl is like THE hottest girl in the room. In other words, only 1 or 2 girls should be getting cien. The rest of you, if you're paying cien for an 8 or 9 (average hot! Then you are driving up the price for the rest of us, instead of negotiating down and that's bull manure. Paying cien generally is for losers who don't know any better.

Yes "everything is more expensive" these days but honestly most of the girls just aren't worth $100 (cien) and if you're not negotiating down you're just being lazy or stupid and Ticas don't respect guys who pay too much, they just laugh at you and think you're an idiot. I'm telling you how it is, I know them. There are places you can get it for $40 or $50 and sometimes they're just as hot as any of the girls at the Del Rey, SL or KL.

It's like guys who tip taxi drivers or guys who tip at restaurants. The Ticos don't do it and they think gringos are stupid for doing it. Don't be stupid!

So, okay, be dumb and lazy if you must but you won't get any respect from those of us who have been mongering here for many years. Each case is individual and there are very few girls worth cien, and most can be gotten for $70-80 if you just try instead of being lazy.

I know many of you newbies are going to hate me for this but trust me, I'm telling you this for your own good. Don't pay cien! Learn to charm them, get them to like you, and then hit them up for $70 or $80. They ask for cien, you come back with 70 and you settle for 80.

Day 1.

Went to CR after a gap of almost a year. Got a window to take off from work during long weekend.

Landed in CR on late evening on Thursday. Old was waiting with his car outside. Nice guy with quite a bit of information about CR. Changed currency at Fiesta Casino and off we went to SL.

Checked in, got freshened up and had dinner at SL. Made a few new friends at the SL bar. There was not much talent in SL at that hour, maybe a couple of 6-7's. We headed off to HDR around 10 PM. Had a few drinks at the bar, scouting the talents. There were quite a few girls in HDR as well as Key Largo. Plenty of 6-7's, but few stunners available. The stunners that were present, had already been lapped up before we stepped in. We made a few trips between KL and HDR, and drank for the most of next few hours.

At around 1 AM, was approached by a very cute tica. She was short but had curves at the right places. My friend from SL immediately took an instant liking for her and off they went around 2 AM. Day 3.

Got up around 10 AM after another round off sleep after Elina left. Texted Karen if she could join me, and we fixed a date at 9 PM. It had been thundering most of the time from yesterday evening, and thankfully, I had packed an umbrella in my luggage. Went out to do a foot tour of San Jose in the rain. Had brunch in a bakery in front of the hospital behind La Amistad. Decent food and cost. Walked over to Parque Central and got some more money from an ATM just in case I needed them. Peeked into a couple of souvenir shops and art stores, but didn't find anything to my liking which could fit in my carry on. Saw Tatiana from Day 1 HDR at an alley near Parque Central kissing a guy (maybe her boyfriend). She spotted me and dragged her boyfriend to another side, so that I couldn't see her face. I also looked the other way and kept walking. Funny incident.

Came back to SL, took a shower and watched the UEFA cup final for a while in SL bar. After the match, decided to try the "big, voluptuous girl at Idem". Took a $4 cab ride over to Idem, but that girl didn't seem to work anymore there. Picked up an athletic cute tica called Michelle from there and went up to the room. She had an amazing body and one of the best asses I have seen in a while. Sexo was okay, but the room was so hot, that I felt like finishing and getting out of there as soon as I can. 27 K colones was the damage plus drinks and small tip.

Came back to hotel around 7 PM and it felt good to be back in an AC room.

Got freshened up and walked over for dinner to the bar. My friend from SL seemed had a good time at Relax. While having dinner, got a message from Karen that she cannot make it since her babysitter flunked due to the rains and flash floods and Karen has to stay back to take care of her K*D. What a bummer! But, fully understandable due to the unforgiving weather for the last 2 days. Went to the front to have a smoke, contemplating what to do next. Then I see this girl walking through the gate. A very pretty face, 25-ish age, very elegantly dressed with a killer smile. She walked past me and sat in one corner at the bar. Went over to her and introduced myself. She is Natasha who works occasionally and is English spoken. I couldn't believe my luck that I would not have to bring out "Google Translate" tonight. I didn't see her in the previous nights at SL, though I didn't venture out much in the bar area. We fixed the date and off we went to out room around 8. We had more to drink in the room. She finished the rest of Vodka and a few beers. We chatted about a host of stuff. And sexo was incredible.

Day 4.

We went to sleep around 3 AM. Got up at 8 AM and had breakfast at SL. She was waiting for her friend to turn up and pick her up. Friend said she could come only around 10 AM due to traffic. Off we went to our room for round 4 which was as satisfying as the previous ones. She left at 10 with the same amount as I had paid to Elina.

Slept for another few hours, had dinner and then off to airport. All in all, a satisfying trip to Costa Rica.
