For those who have traveled to both places.

Travels to San Jose is fairly simple.

1. Fly into San Jose, go to upper level of airport, departures and get cheaper taxi to Hotel Del Rey.

2. Hang out in Del Rey or take taxi to Mona Lisa.

3. Girls from anywhere $50-$80 for hour or TLN.

4. Arrange taxi to go back to airport.

Pretty simple and safe. As long as you stay in the hotel, don't wander off at night. And arrange day trips with reputable travel agencies to check out Arenal and other places.

Question. Is that simple to do the same in Medellin. Is that safe and same prices? Are there known spots like Del Rey and Mona Lisa in Medellin.

Quick few lines to wrap up my Halloween monger trip, I am slowly retiring from the boards and don't plan on posting much in the future, nothing personal just board of the boards.

Hit the Halloween party Thursday night at the Del Ray, apparently they had a bigger party the Saturday before, didn't notice anything different there accept the place was decorated and some of the chicas and mongers had costumes on. Hit Mona Lisa's costume party Friday night seemed to have a mix of working girls and mongers and regular ticos and ticas a little difficult at times to determine who was on the menu and who was not on the menu. Hit Sportsman's costume party on Saturday night all chicas were in costumes. Also stuck my head into ten different MPs each had at least one or two doable chicas but nothing outstanding, of the ten only found one diamond in the ruff.

Had a total of thirteen women in the four days one from the MP, two from Mona Lisa and eight from the Del Ray / Key Largo, all were BBBJ and DATY. Paid 10 mil colons or about $20 for the girl from the MP both Mona Lisa girls up sold me in the room, both agreed to $60 BBBJ and DATY in the bar but once in the room claimed they didn't understand me and wanted $10 more for BBBJ. Paid $80 to two Del Ray / Key Largo girls because once in the room both offered up their Culo for an extra $20 and paid $60 to eight Del Ray / Key Largo girls, had a total of five that were stuck on stupid and quoting $80 or even $100 and didn't budge all five seen me leave with other girls, all five spent the next hour walking around the Del Ray / Key Largo wishing they had a customer all five right now are probably willing to go for $60.

The chicas I had were in my opinion the hottest ones in the club and were the ones I wanted, they were not the second or third tier chicas. After the initial greetings and pleasantries I offered $60 and would say sesenta por el sexo mi amor with a smile. They would say either cien or ochenta I smiled and said sesenta then they would say either noventa or setenta I smiled again and said sesenta, I held my ground with a smile and they came around and accepted sesenta, I told them the things that were pleasing to me BBBJ and DATY if they seemed to bulk or want to start negotiating the price again I would start to turn away, fearing they may lose the customer they had on the line all agreed to provide the services I like. Only two asked for payment up front once in the room. I assured them that I was going to pay them but was not going to pay until after we were done, both seemed to accept this quite easily and payment up front was never much of an issue. Never pay up front, every monger I know who has paid a freelancer up front has gotten burned at least once. But once it's over you do have to pay her even if she wasn't any good at it. If you hold your ground the chicas will lower their prices and offer the services you like.

I had a great time in San Jose, I love the place and can't wait to return, it's just there are so many other places in the world where I can get more value for the dollar.

Food is subjective except when it comes to basics, like an omellette. Sportsman's Lodge can fuck up an omellette. That's well nown. Check Trip advisor. Anyway, it's a frat house as you say, so if you like the frat house atmosphere, it's a good place to find average girls and friendly gringos. But not to stay at, too loud, blast the music at the top like it was a disco all day all night, way over-priced for what you are getting, and its bar's customers are now heavily Tico locals especially for sporting events. Hey, it's their country. But if I wanted to drink in a Tico bar, which sometimes I do, I go to one and pay $1. 50 for a beer, and not what Sportsmen's Lodge charges.

And it's not a hotel. It's a rehabbed old something or other with addition after addition with one layer of drywall seperating the rooms.

If it's sold out, all 25 rooms, it's because of heavy advertisisng on monger boards and new guys don't know of great alternatives at better prices in the same area, like nearby LaAmistad, way cheaper, great all inclusive deal with truly good food-never read one neg review of their food; or nearby Hotel Mona Lisa-built as an American Hotel and you can get a nice American grade "hotel room" room for $50 with free in door parking but the food sucks as bad as Sportsmens Lodge.

Your assessment of the SL is spot on. One of the most overrated places I have ever stayed at. The rooms are small and overpriced. The food is horrible. The talent is mediocre. Just a bunch of promotion by Bill, the owner, and his buddies.

I have seen many a Dominicana in the HDR over the past couple years; some fine looking, others not so. I have been to the DR on many occasions, but it's much more spread out, somewhat dangerous unless you know where you're going and the girls are pretty dark.

Where in the DR are you talking about? Sosua mongering is in a smaller area then the gulch, much smaller, you can easily walk the entire monger area in Sosua in less time than it takes to walk from the Sportsman to the Del Ray. I feel just as safe in Sosua as I do in the gulch, I walk both places at night on my own and I have had zero problems in either place. The only difference is the trannys in the gulch will make cat calls to you as you walk by but won't approach you or bother you if you don't want them to. In Sosua there are no trannys I don't think the locals like them that much and they would probably get beat up if they tried hanging out on the street corners like they do in the gulch. Yes there are dark girl in Sosua but there are also plenty of light skinned girls as well. Everyone's taste and opinion is different but in my opinion when it comes to the attractiveness of the women in both location I would say it's a draw (below are pictures of lighter skinned women in Sosua).

I love Costa Rica and had a wonderful time there this past weekend, it's a great place. But with the exception of the Jaco and unplanned trip to San Jose over Labor Day I have not been there since Thankgiving of last year. So far this year I have been to the Dom. Rep. Six times and I'm going back for two weeks at the end of this month. In all the years I've been going to the DR I have never had a girl give me a condom blow job its always been BBBJ, I pay slightly less than $40 for an hour and for slightly less than $80 I can have a girl spend the entire night with me and cuddle up to me like I am her long lost love. From my location in the states airline prices to both locations is about the same. For me it's always a no brainer, I love the CR but I always get more for less in the DR. (Mongering is a global market horney dicks and money will flow to where it gets the greatest return on the dollar).

I am heading back to CR around Thanksgiving. Been a year or so since last visit. This time I will stay ten days and will try to have some dental work done while hitting the sites. Can anyone recommend a good dentist. Preferably someone that you have used. I am still working on my reservations but hopefully I can get there by nov 30.

Do you really think the chicas are worrying about competition in foreign countries? They have plenty of local competition to worry about. When I first came to Costa Rica you could get a chica at Del Rey for $70 and a lot ask for $100 and the same is going on today. Nothing has really changed in my eyes, well the pension prices are up a little bit.

CR workers don't think about losing to an int'l market, and they don't in any significant numbers. If you are talking about 100 guys or 200 guys that have now made Colombia their home or playground, and a few dozen or more who quit CR and who love the far east and never go back, the same with Sosua, that isn't what affects their payscale. As posted, their competition is each other. The only int'l thoughts I know they ponder are they are very glad the huge tide of Colombiana's has subsided drastically (not sure the guys are) , and they wish the same would happen to the Nicas and Dominicana's. No love lost there. You rarely see them sitting or talking to each other much less tag teaming.

Location, location, location. Convenience with a playing field that's roughly 2 square miles and not spread out all over a much larger city like Medellin. English widely spoken in regular businesses and a often in our business.

I have seen them ever since I have been here. 10 years and running. I have never been to the D. R. But many of my clients have and they tell me that it appears that some of the finest Dominicans are here because they can make more money. They do come and go depending on their Visa but I can tell you, the finest ones I have seen are in Jaco, without a doubt. Here, you have something for everyone. Enjoy your travels.

arrived in country yesterday and stayed at the amistad, sl was full. not there tonight so don't bother looking for me there today you won't find me. i was happy with the amistad good location good price good room. internet was a little slow at first and not working for me and i heard other guest saying the same thing, but later in the night it started working like a charm. i was a little concerned because the amistad is very close to the train tracks in fact it's so close it could be the depot for the train. could hear the train whistle very distinctly in my room during the day but in the morning was quit as could be not a peep. didn't start hearing the train whistle until 11:am.

checked out both the sportsman's lodge and the del ray last night, del ray had their halloween party last night mona lisa is supposed to have theirs tonight and the sportsman will have theirs saturday. was pleased with the talent level i seen at both the sportsman and the del ray ended up taking five yesterday all from the del ray, paid $60 for four of them and $80 for one who was offering me her culo plus taxi fare back to the del ray. all five of the chicas were very attractive in my opinion and all agreed pretty quickly to providing the services i like daty and bbbj at the price i was willing to pay $60. locked eyes with four from the del ray last night during the peak hours who were asking for $80 and one quoted me $100 each of these chicas were in my opinion less attractive then the chicas i was getting for $60 so didn't discuss with them long just told them they might change their mind later.

checked out the mps today went to jet set, muses, kyrses, flamingo the pensions on calle 6 the new zona blue. 747, cha cha cha seems to be gone now there's a little sports center on the corner where to used to be. all of the women in my opinion were in the 3 to 7 range i didn't see anything to spark my interest. only in jet set did i find a hottie ended up sessioning with her for 10 mil colons or about $20. the pensions on calle 6 were quoting me 7 mil colons or about $14 for the half, muses, flamingo and 747 were quoting me 10 mil colons, kryses wanted $40 for the hour and zona blue wanted $55 for the hour. after this i swung by the del ray around 3ish and found what i consider to be a perfect 10 cinnamon skinned tica who made my heart go boom, i quoted $60 her response was to shake her pretty head up and down and say si. told her i liked daty, and bbbj a pretty smile comes across her beautiful face pretty head shakes up and down si me amor. either i am getting very lucky on the trip or things are changing for the better in the cr i'll know more tonight.

I'm in country right now and I have to admit I am begrudgingly impressed with what I am finding. I had originally come down this weekend as a final fare well to SJ and the CR and leave $100 everything covered sessions behind. But I am quite surprised and happy with what I am finding and don't think I am ready just yet to write of the CR. I have had three what I consider to be attractive / HOT chicas and never paid more than $60 for any of them, all allowed DATY and did BBBJ with very little negotiation necessary. This is just my first day here but if these trends continue I could see myself making the CR a regular stop again. I think the CR chicas are starting to realize its not the chica in the next MP they have to worry about, but the chicas in Sosua and Medellin and Tijuana, AC, Pattaya and Nana that they have to worry about and are adjusting their rates, service and attitude accordingly.
