I appreciate all of your inputs for our bachelor party. I like Huey's idea about the Balmoral, instead I'm gonna say it so it sounds like, Balmorey....that way they won't find anything about it and it is similar to Del Rey...he he he. I don't think they would do the research, but just trying to be on the safe side. I will also have the bachelor and other concerned call their better halfs at least once a day, that way they shouldn't have a reason to track us down. Christ, we're only gonne be there for a Thurs - Sun. (3rd week Aug btw)

As far as my love life. I am single, occasional girlfriend here and there and a seasoned mongering pro; U.S. stateside and multiple trips to Tijuana & Bangkok. If I ever do get married, and that's a huge IF, it's probably gonna be to a bi-sexual stripper based on her physical attributes, so you can see how shallow I am. And I hope to God there will be lots of sharing of me. But hey, one life, live it how you choose right?

The only married concern for the trip is the bachelor and his married brother-in-law, who happens to be one of my best friends and my boss. He wanted me get something set up that "we just can't do in the states". I knew their ladies would go ballistic if they heard TJ or Bangkok, so I thought this as a perfect opp to cross another mongering destination off the list. I can say without a doubt that neither of them will do anything to jeapordize their relationships, they just truly love living the hedonism life through their single friends eyes.

And yes, there will be lots of money spent. But that will be on golfing, zip-lining...(can you guys think of anything else we should do? seriously, need some ideas) etc...and of course the chicas. But like I said, I've done this many times before and ain't no senorita getting more than $50-$75 out of me, and to be on the upper end of that scale, she better look like Shakira or J-Lo.

Is there a hotel with a similar name or location that is near the Del Rey that is family friendly we could give them? Anything with a positive google search would work.

I suggest the Hotel Presidente. Of course, you can mention that you are renting an apartment in the 'burbs. There exists several condos in La Uruca, for example.

Yes, my recent week-long July trip was my tenth in the last 42 months. Excessive indeed, considering I am a poor sap with a modest income and 2 very muscular, well-developed credit cards. At this rate, I am due to file for bankruptcy sometime in 2009.

Anyway, I digress. I spent the week at my usual haunt, the Sportsmens Lodge, in my favorite room, Las Palmas. Just my luck, I landed directly in the middle of a construction zone, as they were putting the finishing touches (supposedly) on the new, new wing. I'm talking hammers and buzz saws from 8am to 8pm, no exaggeration. Really pissed me off, actually, and I actually checked out mid trip, but found my new haunt even worse in a different sort of way, and came running back to the SL with my tail between my legs 24 hours later. Construction noise tends to follow me around whenever I travel. Last year on my trip to Peru, they worked on the elevator right next to my 10th floor suite at the Residencial Las Americas in Miraflores for 3 consecutive days. The booming bass notes coming from a Pizza Alley disco across the street would keep you up to 4am or so, and just as you got to sleep, the elevator work would commence. Later on during this trip, I spent an entire week at a high-end Amazon wilderness lodge a few hours by boat from Iquitos, and, sure enough, they were adding some new cabins to the complex. Constant hammering every day of my stay.

Anyway, I digress! I did have a great, great time with the ladies. The SL was a little thin in this regard (always just a simple matter of timing), but I did enjoy multiple sessions with Carolina, including a double with her and a foxy flaca named Helen. Carolina is somewhat shy and reserved, but I find her to be very sexy and a good performer. She has had some incredibly tough luck in her young life, and I admire the way she seems to be dealing with it. I also sessioned with her good friend Luna, formerly of Bonita's. Jessica was not shy whatsoever about approaching me, and I soon negotiated BBBJ and anal, and I was just about to head to the room with her when I noticed Monica, a raven-haired beauty who immediately rocked my world. Sorry, but I'm not finished! This trip also included 3 trips to IDEM, and, DAMN, what a GREAT move on my part! My first session was with Jorleny, to resample her legendary oral skills, and I wasn't disappointed. She has gained some weight, however, and isn't nearly as attractive as she was a couple of years ago. My next two IDEM sessions were with Jennifer, an incredibly sexy 19-year-old lass who just floored me! I hate to even tell you horndogs about her. Gt, Try the Holiday Inn Aurora. It is not "Monger Friendly" and would be good cover. Also, the Presidente. Presidente is about 40/60 mongers to tourists and has a slight reputation. Question; What if one of the spouse tries getting in touch while your in SJO?

A crew of 7 of us will be staying at Hotel Del Rey in about 3 weeks for a bachelor party that will define all bachelor parties!!! Only problem is, if the fiance or any of the crew's wives does a google search of Hotel Del Rey, it basically takes them to various links of reports that dishes the dirt in great detail describing what this place is all about - not good if people plan on staying married when we get back.

Not to worry. They were all closed due to liscensingand safety violations. The are expected to re-open soon. According to Eddie Zona Blue will have a Grand Re-opening Party over Labor Day wweekend. It will somewhat coincide with the CRT Anniversary party. He is going to use the down time to get the new bar up to code, as well as, finish the new rooms.

Police raid brothels that operate in San José

The Policía Municipal and other agencies swooped down on a number of brothels in San José Friday afternoon and began the process of closing them.

The raids took place in the middle of the work day, and women and some customers had to leave in the full glare of television and newspaper cameras.

Raiders shut down Musas on Avenida 7 at Calle 9 and then moved to the well-known New Fantasy on Avenida 9 between calles 5 and 7. Some were headed to Zona Blue three blocks to the west.

After they had ordered the employees from the various buildings, police locked the doors and put stickers showing that the businesses were closed.

An immigration official said that two foreign women were found working at New Fantasy. One was a Colombian and the other was a Nicaraguan. Both were legal, he said because they had Costa Rican cédulas.

The women left the various businesses with their heads covered, but there were no arrests. One woman wore an arctic jacket with the hood fastened tightly around her face.
Fuerza Pública officers participated in the raids. One officer said the day still was young and that many other brothels that had been operating openly in the city would be targeted.

A.M. Costa Rica had raised the issue of brothels operating in the city using pension licenses three weeks ago. La Nación, the Spanish-language newspaper, published a major article Sunday, and Channel 7 Teletica was featuring the issue through the week. The television station was concerned because some of the brothels were located in historic buildings in Barrio Amón.

At New Fantasy one officer left the premises with an arm load of loose-leaf binders that appeared to hold the operating ledgers of the business.

Unlike some of the other businesses, New Fantasy made no pretense of what transpired within its walls. Other firms advertise rooms for rent to continue the fiction that they are a legitimate small hotel or pension. There are perhaps 100 brothels in the metropolitan area and they are a key element in sex tourism.

New Fantasy, for example, was mainly patronized by North Americans and has been included on various nightlife tours for tourists.

Flash, I feel like some more guys are trying to pickpocket me. Next thing I know I'm at some fried chicken joint eating with her and her girlfriends. Next thing I know I'm in a taxi cab ride from hell with my tiny friend to her house to pick up her things cause she thinks she's going to the beach with me. Flash, I'm back in my room safe and sound with my girl and she's giving me a BBBJ. By now she really has to work at it but oh well. Somehow being the trooper that she is till CIM. Flash, I wake up with her next to me. Luckily I had locked everything away in safe and she was an honest one (lucky). This ends Day 2. Whew! More to come.

I Know San Jose has some cool weather during the evenning hurs this time of year, but how is the day time weather? Hot? Humid? Dry? Thanks!

During the days the temperature is usually low 80's, not that hot. Somedays upper 70's during the day. The night are cool low 60's. Most times I sleep with the windows open and wear a light jacket when I go out during the evenings.

Basically there is two Seasons in Central America. Wet and Dry. My book says rainy season is from May to October. But the rain is mostly in the evenings.
