Police raid brothels that operate in San José

The Policía Municipal and other agencies swooped down on a number of brothels in San José Friday afternoon and began the process of closing them.

The raids took place in the middle of the work day, and women and some customers had to leave in the full glare of television and newspaper cameras.

Raiders shut down Musas on Avenida 7 at Calle 9 and then moved to the well-known New Fantasy on Avenida 9 between calles 5 and 7. Some were headed to Zona Blue three blocks to the west.

After they had ordered the employees from the various buildings, police locked the doors and put stickers showing that the businesses were closed.

An immigration official said that two foreign women were found working at New Fantasy. One was a Colombian and the other was a Nicaraguan. Both were legal, he said because they had Costa Rican cédulas.

The women left the various businesses with their heads covered, but there were no arrests. One woman wore an arctic jacket with the hood fastened tightly around her face.
Fuerza Pública officers participated in the raids. One officer said the day still was young and that many other brothels that had been operating openly in the city would be targeted.

A.M. Costa Rica had raised the issue of brothels operating in the city using pension licenses three weeks ago. La Nación, the Spanish-language newspaper, published a major article Sunday, and Channel 7 Teletica was featuring the issue through the week. The television station was concerned because some of the brothels were located in historic buildings in Barrio Amón.

At New Fantasy one officer left the premises with an arm load of loose-leaf binders that appeared to hold the operating ledgers of the business.

Unlike some of the other businesses, New Fantasy made no pretense of what transpired within its walls. Other firms advertise rooms for rent to continue the fiction that they are a legitimate small hotel or pension. There are perhaps 100 brothels in the metropolitan area and they are a key element in sex tourism.

New Fantasy, for example, was mainly patronized by North Americans and has been included on various nightlife tours for tourists.

Day 3. Monday. Wake up with tiny girl from KL. She kisses me and it's on. BBBJ, multiple pos, finish mish. We get up and shower. Breakfast arrives and she serves me ala Marc Anthony. She leaves all bags and purse in room as we're going to pick up some items. She doesn't want to make a bad impression so hardly asks for anything. I pay for a cell phone charger $3 and for shorts for her at the beach $3. That's it. Awesome. We come back and pick up wingman. I tell her to wait for us while we pick up rental car. Wingman and I go and pick up car and stop by Oasis on way back by KFC. Can't believe it's Day 3 and only my first trip to Oasis. It's packed and only one ugly girl. We bolt and I decide to show wingman NF. He loves it as both he and I pick cuties. Mine initially gives me the "is he a Tico? " but warms up as soon as she meets my wingman. This cuties warms up and gives me BBBJ, multiple pos CG, RCG, mish, doggy and CG final. She lies next to me, cuddle and we both take a quick nap. Left her a minimal tip but really enjoyed #3 for today.

We had back to DR knowing this other one has been waiting about 3 hours in the meantime. We pick her up and tell her we just stopped to get a massage. Truth is the best policy. She's still thrilled. We had arranged for a fishing charter and the Copacabana in Jaco. I drive us over and we check in, have a beer and head towards dinner and then the Beatle Bar without much ado. AWESOME place! There are super hotties in there. It's low season and a Monday. Does it get any better? My wingman is sitting there enjoying the sights. I set mine on a drop dead gorgeous 10 Colombian. I send my "novia" over to talk to her and soften her up. She comes over and we all have another drink and settle on the amount. I cut her down a little bit but she knows I really want her. I got with her and my "novia" to the room. I don't want a threesome since I want to enjoy the Colombiana all to myself. Next thing I know, she starts posing for fotos and having a good ol' time. BBBJ, multiple pos, CG #4 finish. I searched and searched but did not find an ounce of fat anywhere on her body. Awesome. I take a little over an hour and we head back to Beatle Bar. Woke up around 6 am, went down and ate breakfast and took in sights. Went back up and napped until around 11am. My morning delight showed up looking as hot as ever. She treated me well. I missed the entire first half and didn't make my first hurried showing until well into the second half. Went down, watched the rest of the match with cutie sitting and cuddling. Had a couple of beers to recuperate. Sent cutie packing knowing I had lots more to go. Walked around the mall with wingman. Normally we would have been at Oasis at least twice. This was a much mellower trip. My wingman insisted on going to NY and a few others. We finally headed back to DR. He picked one up and had an afternoon session. He left and went upstairs. Now this is where it gets a bit freaky. I started having shots with my all time favorite bartender, Fernanda. All I can say is there were a few Ticas and me and a bunch of fotos to prove what happened. Anyway, I should've stayed in the room. I come down and start having more shots and beers. My wingman rejoins as we head to Key Largo.

I'm in a turn and burn mode and start lining up shots of tequila and dancing with a little tiny girl. We hit it off despite my state. My buddy goes up with another chica and I keep on dancing. Flash, I feel like guys are trying to pickpocket me as we exit the cab. Next thing I know I'm at Castro dancing with a goup of locals which are the ticas friends. Flash, I feel like some more guys are trying to pickpocket me. Next thing I know I'm at some fried chicken joint eating with her and her girlfriends. Next thing I know I'm in a taxi cab ride from hell with my tiny friend to her house to pick up her things cause she thinks she's going to the beach with me. Flash, I'm back in my room safe and sound with my girl and she's giving me a BBBJ. By now she really has to work at it but oh well. Somehow being the trooper that she is till CIM. Flash, I wake up with her next to me. Luckily I had locked everything away in safe and she was an honest one (lucky). This ends Day 2. Whew! More to come.

I Know San Jose has some cool weather during the evenning hurs this time of year, but how is the day time weather? Hot? Humid? Dry? Thanks!

During the days the temperature is usually low 80's, not that hot. Somedays upper 70's during the day. The night are cool low 60's. Most times I sleep with the windows open and wear a light jacket when I go out during the evenings.

Went back to DR after not finding Jessica and after my Wingman finished up. Went to Machu Pichu, San Pedro, highly recommend it. Ceviche and Lomo Saltado and Imperial. Went back to DR. Wingman went and took a nap while I picked up an afternoon delight back to ZB. Found Jessica. I just love her. Tight little girl. She just rocks my world as she steps on my back and massages me to heaven. BBBJ, mutiple pos. Damn, had to give her a tip. We were supposed to leave on Sunday to go fishing but my Wingman decided to watch EuroCup instead and leave on Monday. Went to pharmacy to look for prescriptions. My buddies and I ( 3of us) booked the ATV tour from the DR and we had a BLAST !! By far the best thing we ever did. We spent about 3 to 4 hours and went up the side of a mountain. I highly recommend you do this.

I will be in San Jose in a couple of weeks and was thinking about taking one of these tours. I would like to go to one that does not require waking up at 6 am and traveling for an hour and a half to two hours just to get there. Then the same shit on the way back in the afternoon. So if anyone knows of a good one thats a reasonable time or distance away from SJ, please let inform the forum. Thanks!

Agreed, assuming you're doing onesies.

If you're staying at the ZB and doing chicks at $20 a pop, you do at least two at once.

That's the benefit of ZB IMO...I'm cheap and would probably not pay $100-$200+ for a twosome outside of ZB.

Plus I personally don't like doing chicks in MP booths. The spacious ZB rooms are well worth it for me.

Personally, I do not think that Zona Blue is cost-effective as a hotel unless you can manage 3 or 4 pops or more in a night. I don't think that their quality will be an issue - IMHO, it's among the best in CR. If you stay in Sportsman's Lodge or some other hotel in the area, You can always visit ZB during the day, and if quality doesn't meet your desires, just walk out.

In other news, Eduardo from Zona Blue has been e-mailing me and I am tempted to spend a whole night there ($195 not incl. taxes), but the main issue I have with the idea is committing. (You know how us guys are about commitment!) Their website is still under construction and, as I told Eduardo, I have no personal experience on which to base my decision, nor are there any pictures of girls, etc.
The Forum has lots of articles on ZB, and there are other internet sites where you can get reports as well. However, at the end of the day, it's "iffy" -- hit or miss. Some guys loved ZB, others "so-so". The other concern I have is that I'm not the spry young rooster I used to be - not sure there's any real point to spending that kind of $$$ (probably will be close to $400 when all is said and done) when all I will be able to generate is one, maybe two shots. Especially after having been in Jaco the night before. :-)

Speaking of which, I'm not even sure that I'll come *back* to SJO from Jaco ... I could stay in Jaco an extra night and just skip SJO altogether on this go-round. Another commitment dilemma - LOL. I haven't spent a night in Jaco before, so I don't know if it's going to be a situation where I'm GLAD to be getting out of there the next day, or whether I'll wish that I had stayed another night. Unfortunately, with hotel reservations handled the way they are, I think it's risky to "wing it" and just figure it out as I go, and risky to commit my credit card for a 2-night stay in Jaco if on day 2 I decide I really would rather go to SJO.

Not looking for any responses here (even me...this isn't a "real report" ... probably should put it in another thread myself -- sorry guys! I'll make up for it next month after I do my duties!)

From what I was able to find, the one to go to is http://www.atvtourscostarica.com/ They pick you up at your hotel and the fll day tour is from 10 am to 5 pm with lunch included. According to them the site is about 45 minutes from San Jose.
