I'm living and working in San José for a bit.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere to seek out Under The Radar girls. Once in a while you see an advert for a private "tour guide" with the emphasis on "private". I guess I mean do you know where I can find women who are either students or working and like to have a side-hustle of showing gringos around and getting a free meal and some paid fun UTR?

Any listings or known places for this type of thing?

Well, I will say. Del Ray is back. The Thursday threw Sunday it was packed. The top talent was not like the past. Maybe 2 8's or 9's. And the rest 7's and under. But, I must say. I've had great times with 7's, LOL.

The Taormina has more top talent. But, not the quantity as Del Ray.

Went to Castillo one day. Didn't see much. Unfortunately, I didn't take a look see in sportsmen's.

The pensions are open for business. The mask mandate is over this week. The weather was great. Also, use Uber you will save a lot on travel.

Depends how you define it. But I would say that GFE is often the case with the gals that hang out in those places. I have never bothered with anything like Tinder or Seeking. Seems to be a waste of time with all the other options available.

For me it's mostly about LFK / DFK. CBJ never bothered me too much.

I was in SJO for a long weekend to see one of my amigas. I've known her since she was 19 or 20 and now she's 30, but she still looks good and floats my both. On Saturday night (3/20) we decided to go to the Sportsmen's Lodge for some food and drinks. They had a DJ who was not bad. There were not a whole lot of guys or chicas there, but I have to say that several of the chicas I did see where quite fuckable. If I was not with my friend for the entire weekend, I would have pulled one of several. I have no idea what they were asking. But I wanted to post this to let guys know that there was some decent talent at the SL on a Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised.

Been reading through the last several pages. Only just started to consider Costa Rica, seems Tamorina and Sportsmen Lounge are the places to get action.

However I don't see a lot of mention of GFE vs Non GFE (maybe I missed it). I know it's always a YMMV type of thing but wanted to get some comments on that specifically.

If these places aren't great for GFE, what would you guys say is the best option for that? Seeking? Tinder?

I decided to take the trip. It's 3:45 am. Taormina has 4 women here. So I went to del Ray. It looks like a normal 4 an night here. About 10 girls. 2 very nice girls and 8 just okays. But, the curfew is over.

And the casino will be back open in del Ray within 2 weeks.

They are putting in new machines. So, we will see what happens.

The HDR is reopened, but it will be a struggle for them to get back to anything worthwhile. I've stayed there for 10 years pre-covid and it had its ups and downs; mostly downs the past five years or so. Without a casino, they have to rely on their bar business and hotel guests alone. The end of the curfew likely won't change that dynamic. Right now, the Taormina is the go to place. Sportsman's has a loyal following, but has limited rooms.

With Covid letting up, are things improving? Any update of the reopened HDR? Early reports were limited numbers. Are numbers at sportsmans or teormina improving?

Also for daytime action, someone recommended SJO as a street to check out. I've looked, but I can't find an SJO on the map.

If your work is picking you up and dropping you off, you really can't stay at the Taormina. Everybody knows what that place is about (and its predecessor, and Sportsman's Lodge). Or, you could stay there, claim to be staying at the nearby Holiday Inn, and have them pick you up and drop you off there. Not much street action in San José and what there is mostly comes with 'extra equipment.'

SJO is the code for the international airport in San Jose.

Sleep inn, is a regular hotel. With no casino or Bar. So, unlike Taormina. There are no girls hanging around unless you bring them. So, as far as guess. When you bring someone with you. They have to give their ID. And sign in. That is when you pay the fee.

Thanks again for the responses. This is really helpful. This visit is business and pleasure. My work contact (locals) will pickup and drop off. That's why discretion is an issue. Can some one explain how the guest fee works? Do I bring the girl to the front desk and pay? Pay in advance? Does the girl have to sign in?

I would love to book the Taormina and stay. I just didn't it want to be obvious as to why I was there. The $25 Sleep Inn fee doesn't bother me. Just don't know how it works. If locals or my work's reimbursement office wouldn't be concerned with a Taormina stay. That would be my first choice. If I absolutely had do, I can book 2 rooms for the same night, but that is last choice. Any advice appreciated!
