I was back again last week. Most of the massage places are open as usual. Most had 5-7 girls and zero customers. Pensiones are also open. Again, Blue Marlin is closed for good. SL is the new BM, and a number of the BM girls are now going to SL. They are still asking $100, but most will come down or go home with zero. Taormino casino, just down from SL, had a few girls in the past, but now appears to have more. Definitely a place to check out when in the neighborhood. Immigration has been painfully slow this last 2 months. What used to be a 5 minute drive-thru now takes over an hour. Be sure to have your Health Pass completed and bar code ready for scanning, as well as proof in travel insurance. I got mine online from INS that covered multiple entries and exits over the past two months for about $200. Worked like a champ.

Buhiuba mentioned in his post that he didn't see any girls waiting outside SL on a Friday night at 9 pm. That is because they are closing at 10 pm because there is a curfew. If you go earlier, say around 5 or 6, there will typically be girls waiting to get in, depending on the day and how many girls are already there. Since they have limited capacity due to covid restrictions, SL has to balance enough paying customers that keep the doors open, with the number of women they let in to draw the customers. There are a lot of regulars and locals there that rarely take girls from there, so that complicates the math.

You are confusing with BlueMarlin bar inside Del Ray Hotel. Sportsmen's is at entirely different area and separate.

I started a Tinder account and was very direct about what I want and I've been bombarded by messages and my WhatsApp has about 20 that have contacted me. One was very direct she quoted $150 for massage and extras from what I'm hearing that's on the very high end. She also stated she is not a member of Sportsmen's Lodge and can not go in. She said it's because she is black and wouldn't sleep with manager or owner for free. I'm guessing there is some BS there. Talked to Jorge and he said if they are blacklisted it's because they had issues with the girl. Anybody care to weigh in? I've always stayed at La Amistad in the past and never had issues. Thinking about cancelling 2 of my days at Sportsmen's and staying those 2 at Castillo because I love the all inclusive.

I'll be there Dec 4 - Dec 8 if anyone wants to meet for a drink.

The lesson. The girls read this forum. I greatly offended the woman I referenced. Hi Liz! To her credit and an old friend I met down there years ago she might have some validity to Sportsmen's Lodge. My friend also concurred that $60 will get you exactly what you would expect lower end looks. I have to commend her for implying me being cheap at $60. And in her words "good luck with the dogs at Sportsmen's " . My view is this is a business transaction with personal pleasure attached. In business you negotiate for the best deal. And most likely would have made contact with Liz upon arrival due to her beauty and command of English. Anyway lesson learned. Gentlemen girls know of this forum and read it. To Liz. I think you're right about some BS there. There are chicas that are blacklisted there, and those that just never have bothered to get their names on the list. But staying at Castillo (or Amistad if it opens back up) is also a good option, especially if you like the all inclusive for food and drinks.

Planning a trip to Costa Rica mid-December and was hoping for some direction. I'll probably be there for a week and a half and hoping to tourist and visit the country as well. How many days would you recommend staying in La Fortuna? Monteverde worth it or pretty much the same as the forests around La Fortuna / Arenal? Any attractions on the west coast apart from Tamarindo beach?

I'm currently staying at Taormina, a 5 minute walk from Sportsman's. It's a decent place. The bar here has at least as many girls each night as Sportsman's (20 to 25 I'd guess.) I took a girl from the Taormina bar last night, she asked for $80 and I didn't bargain. She tried very hard to get me to take her friend too for another 80, but I didn't go for it. Tonight I took a girl from Sportsman's. We had a few beers ahead of time, and dinner together afterwards, there was some chemistry. Her English is excellent, my Spanish is alright, we spent a lot of time talking and sliding back and forth between the two languages, I have a lot of fun with that. Money was never discussed. I gave her 100; according to the forum that seems to be the precovid standard. Someone said the girls at Sportsman's are dogs. That's about 60-70% true I'd say. The girl I took tonight, she's done some modelling work, showed me the pictures. Someone mentioned taking girls waiting to get in to Sportsman's. I don't think that's a thing, I haven't seen anyone waiting outside (and I just went by there at 9 pm on Fri night to check.) These places are closing early. If lowballing is your thing then one strategy might be to hang around outside when the bar closes and offer a lowball price at that point. Just now when I came back in to Taormina there were 6 to 8 girls hanging around outside; I think they are getting ready to catch a cab back home. Offer one of the 50 and see what happens. There's not that many girls but there are definitely more girls than guys here currently.

It's my first time to CR so I can't compare it to the good old days.

Booked flight just now, purchased my Covid Insurance Policy and Booked stay at Sportsmen's. Going based on the market favoring the consumer at the moment. I like the plan of offering 60 and bringing them into Sportsmen's plus Pensions are not too far of a walk away. I'm sure it will be a different environment now than it was a few years ago when I was there last. Is Luna still around had some great times with her. In SJ this week and visited both Relax and Monica's. They're open with Monica's at 9 am and Relax at 10. Fewer girls than usual (both had around 5 to choose from) but I was in each before noon so the availability might pick up later in the afternoon. Prices are the same at 15 K for h / h and 25 K for an HR. I didn't get to Sportsman's or Del Rey so no info on either. Not my scene really as I have a Tica friend who can set me up with some real stunners via WhatsApp that come to the apartment in the evenings for a drink and some fun. Her girls ask $100-$125 and she asks for a $20 referral fee but she sets up all the meetings and the encounters are safer than pulling an unknown from a bar. The trip has been an overall great one and as safe as one can be under the circumstances.
