Looking into doing monthly stays at a nice hotel at some point. Tax for something like the Grand Hotel was like $425 US. I don't think the Ticuan quoted me any tax on top of the daily rates. Could this be correct? Do some hotels not charge a hotel tax to foreign visitors?

Anyone with experience? Knock the tax off the price and it might work but an extra $425 on top of it is brutal.

Since the tax is included in the price of things in Mexico I wonder if Ticuans price includes the tax and maybe if you went online it's different. Or they add the tax when you pay your bill. I would double check to make sure what the exact final price is.

Go to 5th street and Revolucion. The stand that sells tobacco also sells cartons. He has been there for years.

CBP put out the info last week stating it, so unless something has changed without them telling anyone it's suppose to open at 6 am On January 9th. As I write this it's 7:30 am on January 9th and the border wait site I use still shows PedWest as pending. It has PedEast pedestrian line at only 5 minute wait.

According to the guy at PedEast (I took the Crazy Train down this time) PedWest is indeed open for weekdays 6-14 h, and not this Monday that's a Federal Holiday.

People are so brazen to just pull up a truck in the driveway and clean up. Doesn't anyone get shot breaking into houses. Do homeowners in California not have guns.

Criminals are kind of uncooperative with the time. They tend to lay in wait and break in when you are not home. Then they sack the house for guns because it is so easy to move them.
