$60 is nothing. You could take the public bus to trolley and make it to border for under $10. But not all mongers want to ride public transportation and potentially sit next to some homeless person who smells like urine. You could take Uber Lyft and you'll still spend at least $40 plus uncertainty of crossing on foot dealing with border officials. Of course I don't guarantee that we won't be hassled by border cops in my car, but it hasn't happened yet. Heck last trip I had a guy who didn't even have a passport. We got randomly flagged over by the border cop and all he did was check my car registration and let us go. I was thinking oh crap he's going to hassle us because this guy I got with me doesn't have a passport, but luckily he just let us go without requesting passport.

Hold on a sec. When I was at Tijuana in November of last year, I crossed pedeast (as I always do at the trolley) and when I got through the turnstyle, The immigration officer at the desk kept sending gringos to a room behind to talk to another officer. She had me standing around and then quickly stamped my passport and told me to go ahead. Are immigration authorities being even more difficult now?

Thursday, a lot street woman all day into 5 pm, since day before it rained. If you ever see rain in San Diego hit up Tijuana next day. Had 15 dollar offers on streets but hate the dirty mattress. Tropical, full of woman, even some that were in Chicago week ago. I think Chicago losing men and woman to tropical. Anyways had fun in trop, spent 60 on 1 woman for 45 minutes in the club. $ for Sex is not my thing anyway, ventured into Gloria hotel because its always full of 30 to 40 year old woman, 2 dollar beers. As soon as I walk in a gay Mexican maybe 25 sits next to me. I immediately explain I need new seat so chica can sit. LOL eventually I ran out this guy wouldn't stop following me and unless someone slows their Spanish down to half speed I have no idea what they are saying anyway.

I've only ever gone into Tijuana through this port of entry next to the shopping outlet, if this option is closed how else can I cross over?

Tourists who are genuinely visiting for an amazing relaxing fun-filled getaway? Or "tourists" who are only passing through Tijuana because it's a border town on their way to from the US?

Probably 50% of Tijuana's "tourists" are guys going to Hong Kong, 49% are just passing through to cross the border, and 1% are actually visiting Tijuana for it's natural beauty and relaxing charm.

Yeah I'd say virtually no body flies to Tijuana to experience the place other than mongers. I know utube travelers that have visited dozens of Mexico cities this year and still never went to Tijuana. It literally has nothing to offer other than location on the border to USA. You can't even swim in the ocean most of the time. It's more expensive than the rest if Mexico and it's the most dangerous city on earth several years running. I don't think half the tourists are mongers. Maybe 5%. I was thinking about this recently because Tijuana tinder has so many endless woman on it. Usually even in big cities I start seeing same people or run out. But its endless with Tijuana, and realized, it's all the working girls flying in for few weeks of work, and all the other Americans coming here to fly to southern Mexico.

There are many many women in Tijuana and all over Mexico who fit that description. The thought of selling their ass or friends family thinking of them as a puta is just not something they're willing to live with. Same thing in San Diego I see very hot chicks working shitty fast food or other minimum wage job when she's easily hot enough to work the San Diego clubs or ride out to Los Angeles or Las Vegas to hustle for some big bucks quick and easy. Not to mention what they could make escorting for minimum $300 an hour. I mean these chicks could easily pull in $1000 a day but yet they're flipping burgers or stocking shelves at target for $12 an hour.

Not to mention you got to be mentally tough to work the bars, where the real money is at. I've seen chicas in HK literally falling down so drunk because she drank too many fichas and a mesero has to throw her over his shoulder and carry off somewhere so she can pass out. I imagine they have a couple rooms where they just use to dump off chicas who are passing out falling down drunk. They're probably being constantly bombarded with meseros and guys trying to get them hooked on drugs and pimp them out. Other chicas trying to stab them in the back and steal their best clients. Being a bar puta is not for the faint of heart.

I totally agree with you that being a puta is not for the faint of heart. I have dated two ex putas for quite a long time in the past. One was married and had three young kids. She was married to an ahole that got drunk all the time and physically abused her and the kids. He was a taxi driver and she didn't work (in Mexicali). She took the kids and up and left him. She was then faced with the dilemma of now having to support the kids and pay rent. She went to work in the Panasonic battery factory in Tijuana where she made maximum 75.00 per week. She could not even come close to supporting herself and kids. She looked high and low for a job and could not find a thing that would give her the income needed. One day she saw an ad in the paper for a waitress with good tip opportunity. She went to the location and it turned out to be Bar Tropical. On her first day, she plopped herself on a chair (next to a line of girls) waiting for clients, scared and frightened as Hell. But she needed the money. In about an hour, a gringo came over and they sat at a table. He started talking to her and noticed she was scared and timid. He bought her copious amounts of ficha drinks and asked her to go up to the room. She started to cry. This guy felt bad. He gave her a 100 dollar bill, told her God Bless You and exited the bar. Looking at that 100 dollar bill, she thought to herself, I could never make this in a week. I have to stick this out. Which she did. She ended up going to work at Adelitas. She was a beautiful blond with a fantastic rack. I walked in one afternoon and the two of us hit it off. She confided in me and told me how much she absolutely hated working there. Hated the guys touching her like she was a piece of meat, etc. But it paid the bills. She told me that she felt like the lowest form of human being working there and one day wanted to be somebody. Long story short, I dated her for 7 years and she never worked in that bar again. We broke up. She eventually met another gringo who helped her buy a salon and to this day she works there and makes enough money to support herself.

Many other putas feel extremely degraded to work as one but options are slim, especially if they have kids and no preppa (high school). Don't get me wrong. There are some that love the money and that's the bottom line. I know I am going to hear from some that tell me I am full of crap and that these women can find a decent job in Tijuana. That is total BS. Don't believe it.

I honestly respect that woman that works in a factory or another job in Tijuana over being a puta.
