    Pesos and negotiation

When I was there 2 weeks ago, first time for me, I changed currency and discovered that the biggest benefit was with SG, but was able to do it with HK as well. I do agree that if you're picking up 1 or 2, then it's a couple extra HK girl drinks saving. As for leaving with currency, by the time you're in the US, you should not have a lot of pesos left anyway. LOL.

I do have a question regarding how the SG structured their pricing. I found that they want 300 P for 20 minutes and 500 P for 30 minutes. Is this normal pricing? Or is this negotiable? Didn't try but how opened are the SG if you want to add time after? I.E. Same structure?

I think this goes without saying, but I'm sure on my return trip I will be able to exchange any leftover Pesos I have for US dollars? Walk across the border at Ped East. I'm currently getting a Passport Card to avoid a stamp in my Passport Book. This should be all I need to get into and out of Mexico, correct? Should be walking across the border by 2 pm or before.

First stop once I cross will be a pharmacy on the Freedom Path? A note on ED drugs. I have never used them, but am thinking of trying them out? Typically, I can do 2-3 pops a day which is a chore with the SO, but easier with strange pussy.
Get pesos. Easy to turn leftover pesos into dollars at the end of your trip near the border-on either side of the border.

Passport card is a good choice.

Piri Pharmacy is on the Freedom path across from the Tijuana Wax Museum. Try 1/2 or 1/4 of a pill for your first time to test your personal reaction.

For someone with an intention of doing both street girls and escorts in your hotel room, there is no better choice than HDS that I am aware of. But know that not all escorts agencies will send their escorts to HDS and not all street girls will go to HDS-especially with someone unknown to them. A reservation at HDS is recommended-can't do it online. Their phone number in Mexico is +52 664 xxxx646. They have single rooms and double rooms, some with kitchenettes. Cascades would be better for taking street girls to your room, but fewer escort agencies will send their escorts to Cascades because it is smack dab in the middle of La Zona (as opposed to HDS which resides on the North and East perimeter of LA Zona).

PhordPhan is correct about there being a lot of muggings within one block of HDS. A buddy of mine who lives in HDS just last month was mugged for the second time, this time in front of the Hotel Ceasar (not the famous one) half a block away. So be extra aware when you walk near HDS.

Don't worry about limited Spanish skills. Not many street girls possess even basic English skills, so requiring them might be super limiting and unnecessary. Are you going there looking for your next wife or next fuck? Sex for money is well understood in La Zona between people who speak different languages.

Whereas, in the bars, the currency savings from using pesos are minimal, between 0 and 10% typically.

So, you'll save little or no money. Using pesos with the SGs is a bit better, but for your first time, again, the savings will be minimal and probably not worth the hassle. Yes, you can exchange your pesos for dollars at any casa de cambio. I, personally, never use dollars in Mexico, but for a noob who isn't venturing outside the Zona, there's little point. As others have stated, it's safer to have a passport, just in case.

Being your first time, I would suggest not walking to the Zona. It's not difficult, but, again, for the first timer it can be a bit overwhelming. If you're used to showing up in strange foreign cities and wandering around, then by all means have at it. If not, take a taxi. If you've never used ED drugs before, this may not be the best time to start. You have no idea what your personal dosage should be or how you react to them. Much better to try them in a more comfortable environment. You can pick up condoms, lube, etc. , at an OXXO. They tend to keep them kind-of-sort-of behind the counter (you'll see what I mean), so you may have to ask the clerk.

Where did you get the idea to stay at HdeS? It's located in perhaps one of the most ratero-infested parts of the Zona. This location really isn't for the faint-of-heart, and, IMHO, certainly not a good location for a first-timer. I doubt many SGs will go that far to a hotel (others with more SG experience can chime in here). You have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding an escort who will go to the Zona Norte, or that hotel. Cascadas is a "safer" option, more SGs will go there, but still no escorts. Frankly, all of the hotels in the ZN range from barely adequate to shitholes, IMHO. If you want clean and quiet, look to Ticuan or Villa de Zaragoza, or closer and slightly more basic accommodations, Caesar's or Espana on Revolucion.

You'll be able to make calls. Normally you dial +1, then the area code and number. However, any incoming calls will send the "international ring tone" to the caller. They will know you are out of the country. If this is a problem, turn off your phone or put in in airplane mode.

Maybe it's not a good idea to try the ED drugs on this trip? I don't have an ED problem per say, but I'm in my late 40's now. Not 25 anymore and I'the like to tear through some serious pussy. Any thoughts here are appreciated. In any case, I will need to pick up supplies. Raincoats, lube, etc. If I decide not to get ED drugs, maybe I can just pick up these other supplies at an OXXO?

    ...

Grab a Libra Taxi to the hotel. I plan on staying 2 nights in Tijuana at Hotel Hacienda de Santiago. I want a place that is clean & comfortable. Good for bringing escorts or SGs? And also want a place that will be somewhat quiet at night for sleeping? Do I need to reserve this room in advance? Online? By phone? Is there a type of room I should request to be more comfortable? Do you guys suggest another hotel based on my activities? I also am considering Cascades but it seems like it would be much noisier? Not as clean? Any advice anyone can give here would be great.

    ...

Cell service: I have Sprint. I will check with them as I'm sure they have some kind of international plan that includes Mexico. I need to be able to check in with the SO occasionally. Hopefully any texts or calls I make will appear how they normally appear to her? Not like some kind of unknown caller from a 3rd world brothel. Ha!

Thanks for all of the responses on this gents. I live in Michigan where they issue enhanced Drivers licenses if you choose; they are not available in all states. They allow you to cross by land only into Mexico and Canada but do not allow international travel by air. Although, as someone mentioned, after more research I see Mexico does require you to have a passport, but I guess it is rarely enforced. I have the enhanced drivers license and a passport book, but I think I'm going to get a passport card so as not to raise suspicions with the SO with a stamp in the book. Is the ready lane for people traveling on foot or by car? I will be on foot.

    Thanks,

    JC.

WTF is "enhanced ID"? Passport card is all you need walking to or fro' Mexico.

The information provided to you appears to be obsolete, and by a few years at least. Bottom line, it would be prudent to obtain a passport / passport card so one doesn't have to worry about this.

Enhanced drivers licenses are not available in all states. For example, the State of California currently does not issue enhanced IDs.

I think the advice you got from the postal service is probably correct. Asking CBP (Customs and Border Protection) is probably the right organization to ask. What state do you live in?

  12. #14376

    Issue is Mexican Immigration IMO

If you are coming back from Mexico, a driver's license worked for a few friends to return to the USA through the US border control. The real question is whether Mexican Immigration will let you walk in to Mexico without a passport or passport card. Offhand, I think Mexico requires foreigners to have a passport in country though it isn't enforced. Tijuana cops don't care about you having a passport until they need their next mordida fix. Where are the rich gringo tourists at? Round them up and shake them down! LOL.

    Advice

    Hey gents,

Thanks for all of the intel here on the Tijuana scene. Extremely valuable! I didn't really know where to put this post. I decided on the "General" thread because several topics are discussed. I am very experienced on the US side, and now planning my first visit to Tijuana for early this November. I have read almost all of the Tijuana threads for at least a year back, but after a while, all the info seems to run together in your head. Not to mention that the scene changes as we all know; what works right now, might not work next week, etc. So, I apologize in advance for any questions I ask that have probably been previously answered. Any answers / advice anyone can give will be much appreciated. And I will certainly provide detailed reports upon my return. My plan of attack is as follows:

Fly into San Diego on a Wednesday around noon and get an Uber to San Ysidro. Exchange US dollars for Pesos (it seems to be much better to pay in Pesos? I think this goes without saying, but I'm sure on my return trip I will be able to exchange any leftover Pesos I have for US dollars? Walk across the border at Ped East. I'm currently getting a Passport Card to avoid a stamp in my Passport Book. This should be all I need to get into and out of Mexico, correct? Should be walking across the border by 2 pm or before.

Do you guys suggest another hotel based on my activities? I also am considering Cascades but it seems like it would be much noisier? Not as clean? Any advice anyone can give here would be great.

Activities: A couple of things about me. I know to negotiate in advance and will never pay before the deed, but if you think the following items are unrealistic, please let me know. 1. I typically don't care for quick sessions, probably nothing shorter than a 20 minutes. 2. I like CBJ, BLS, Mish, CG & K9. DATY, COF & pics are nice but not required. 3. The best would be light GFE experiences, but that's not a total requirement. 4. My Spanish skills are almost nil except for a few phrases I have gleaned here. So I won't try any girl that doesn't have some basic English at a minimum. I would like to try the SGs, BGs (Hong Kong and others), and escorts. What exactly do I get with buying the VIP at Hong Kong? Is it worth it? Maybe jump in with both feet and start out with a 3 some from an escort service that was recently described here for Wednesday afternoon. Followed by some BG action for Wednesday night. Maybe some SG action Thursday afternoon followed by more BG action Thursday night. Maybe top it off with a SG Friday morning before heading back to San Diego. Hopefully the border crossing back to the US won't be terrible on an early Friday afternoon? I will stay in San Diego Friday night and fly out Saturday afternoon.

Ha!

Sorry for the long post and all the questions. I'm just trying to maximize my pleasure on the trip. If my trip is anything like the trip Checkmate1 recently described, I will be very satisfied. Any advice anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Also, I have no problem buying drinks for any senior here that would like to be a wingman. Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    JC.

I have never had occasion to dial a local number from a Tijuana hotel but I suspect you still have to dial the 664 prefix.
