No, an FMM is -not- a form of ID for crossing into Mexico.

You need a PP or a PP card. I was caught without my PP card by accident, and I was. I guess. Deemed OK enough to enter, with a polite warning.

I have a Sentri card to get back into the US just fine.


So..you have your good looks and such to get into MX if you get passport checked, and have none, and back into the US if you have none...they cant say no, but it could slow you down depending who you get for a minute or 5.

They have to let you into the US if you're American, but they'll grill you for it. As for entering Mexico, they sometimes don't check cause they're distracted and you can slip passed them, and other times they do ask for passport.

In December, I just walked right through without showing any ID. In January, I was stopped and had to pay $35 for FMM card and they wrote down my passport ID on the FMM card.

You are confused. You need a passport to enter Mexico. The $30 fee is for a 180-day FMM (basically permission to be in the country for six months). The 7 day FMM is supposed to be free. There are many reports of crossers being forced to buy the 180 day FMM even for stays fewer than 7 days. Your experience may or may not be the same.

There are reports of some crossers paying bribes to get into Mexico without a passport. I would not count on this. Some say they look Latino and cross in the "locals" line and get in without a passport. Again, do not count on this. If you try to cross without a passport you stand a good chance of being sent back. OTOH they might accept a drivers license. How lucky do you feel?

To get back into the States you are supposed to have a passport. However, a DL and a sob story, or perhaps a certified copy of your birth certificate, will get you in. You may or may not get sent to secondary for more questioning. YMMV. But if you are a citizen they have to let you in. It will be the agent's discretion as to how much crap to give you.

Well as been mentioned many times, if you are a USA citizen they can not deny you entry. That does not mean they can't hassle you and send you to secondary. So it all depends on the agent. I have gone before with no ID at all (by accident) and coming back to the USA was just as easy as having a passport. If I remember correctly I just told him my DL number and I got through fast.

I crossed last Sunday by foot to HK and thought the Mexico border patrol would ask me to fill out a FMM form or something. But he just looked at my Passport card and waved me through. Hope that keeps happening..

It is a luck of the draw. If they have the manpower and time it appears they will pull some into the little room to shake them down for the fee. I got caught in one of those days last spring and had to pay the $30. I did use it while it was valid to walk in through the "Mexican" line and not have to show my passport. Recently I decided to pay the $30 again to get the 180 day pass so I could cross the border without my passport while it is being renewed. Got to admit it is nice to walk in through the "Mexican" side and not have to wait in line for the foreigner agent to decide whether to hassle me for the money or not.

So, no it is not necessarily a for sure thing you will have to pay. You are more likely to be able to go through without it. Take a currently valid prescription with you and say you are going to a pharmacy and they will generally let you in.

Smaller pharmacies away from Revo would likely sell you just about anything you want without presc.

I just bought a box of Amoxicillin for someone with an infected tooth from Farmacia Piri, $10 for 16 pills, no presc. Farmacia International, on Calle 2 corner Ave Constitucion near the McDonalds, also sells anything without presc. , but prices are higher. A wingman bought a box of Azithromicin 8 pills for $20.

Looks like farmacias in Tijuana don't have to employ trained and registered phamacists. Anybody can sell meds. Be careful the meds may be laced with fentanyl. Lots of guys bought meds from Piri. So far I have heard no complaints. Their Sildenafils are known to work well without severe side effects. The guy that runs the farma in the Mercado de Artesana swore to me his Cialis was genuine, in factory box with a hologram seal. Either my dick refused to cooperate or his med was fakes.

Have buddy asking how easy it isto get in Mexico and if he needs a prescription? I don't visit the pharmacies in Mexico for those things so I thought to ask here. Thanks for any info.

I appreciate the responses I got on my Valium question.

I have always had easy times purchasing 2 MG bars of said prescription drug. Just have to have a feel for the pharmacy. I don't know how else to put it. Have bought in six cities in Mexico. Price has been consistent at 75 US for 90 bars. Helps I once had a prescription for it as I always bring a phone pic to show them although the original date does not show. (Plausible deniability at the border) I lead with what I think is the price and start by asking for 180 bars. Gets their attention. Never have left with less. As far as walking back over the line, I remove all the pills from the two jars and distribute them loosely in the six pocket shorts I am wearing. Between phone, keys, hand sanitizer LOL, there are no lumps to bring suspicion. Just got to be Cool Hand Luke and for good measure have a condom here out there in your pockets just for fun. And never abuse drugs.

Well looks like from the news today they have gotten the migrants to move and are starting to clean up the old camp. So I'd imagine at least by the end of the month it being open again to cross.

There's definitely no need for that migrant camp. Yesnunder Trump it was a good visual to portray suffering. Right now though everyone in the world is allowed in except Mexicans. Nobodybstays in that camp more than 35 days. A Haitian or African asylum seeker told me anyone who shows up movesnto usa in 35 days. They even fly you to whatever city you want to live in. So there's nonneed for the camp.
