As you guys might have noticed, taxis are charging $12 to the motels and had to go few motels to get a room now a days over the weekends. Ended up paying more than $35 to taxi few times recently. And $10 for parking. Spending $50 for logistics is kind of expense if you visit every week.

I am thinking to drive as my vehicle was already registered in Sentri. Is insurance must buy, if so, any ideas what insurance is better? Is it really that dangerous? Any tips and tricks to keep in mind while driving in Tijuana?

My main concern all these days was .. how safe is it to drive back to US after drinking ... Yes, i do drink much some times...

I went to AAA and bought the one they recommended. Something like $180 for 12 months collision coverage only.

Driving in Tijuana is an adventure. Rules of the road is more like suggested rather than mandatory. So look around at intersections or one day someone will run a red light and T-bone your car and kill you. Stop signs are suggestions to slow down and taxi drivers honk at me for making an actual stop, unless you see a cop, then definitely stop. Potholes are killers. Some are so deep that they will pop your tires. I popped 2 new tires in the first 3 weeks of driving in Tijuana. Curbs are angled differently and very high and will scrape your car as you make a right turn. The Turnabouts are crazy scary and is a game of chicken, and use instead of stop lights. Pedestrians have a right of way and many will walk right in the middle of the road, traffic be damned.

Drivers can be real assholes and do not mind scrapping their shitty car against your car. Did I mention it is a game of chicken? The locals do not use blinkers. They tend to dive head first into your lane. You'll know what I mean. Cops specifically target drivers that they think are drunk, particular exiting the Zona Norte. Prepare to get fucked by cops waiting for you, and hoping you are drunk so that you can help pay their rent. They know all of the exits out of the Zona Norte and you are going to be BFF with some if you drink and drive.

Personally, I don't think I save any money since I've driven to the Zona Norte. The reason I did was that I dated a girl over in Otay, then another that lived in Las Playas. So I needed to learn to drive in Tijuana.

I recommend getting a 1 day insurance, then driving over Sunday to see if you are okay. You do not want to drive there the first time Saturday night and play road warrior with taxis and cops. On the other hand, Mexican cops will help you drop the habit of driving and drinking real fast. I guarantee it.

If you have SENTRI, Baja Bound insurance offers a special rate for 6 or 12 months. I think I paid around 300 last time to re-up for the year. Good deal when you consider it's like $45-$50 for a few days by the border.

I don't think it's any more dangerous than driving in USA. You are playing with fire by drinking and driving. I limit myself to two beers if I am driving back across the border.

It's OK to go to a shrink and pay them $100 - $300 per hour to listen to your problems.

It's ok to pay a massage therapist $$ per hour to make you feel good as long as she doesn't touch your privates and make them feel good!

It's ok to date girls who are a bit of gold diggers and just like the lifestyle of someone who is much more well off financially than they are.

It's ok to pay to go to a comedy club and have a great time to connect with the humor of another person.

But it's not ok to pay a girl to spend a few days who encapsulates all that stuff into one person?

Do you know what the value of "touch" is. Human's need human's. Contact is Very important. Physical, Emotional, Conversational..

Comedians are professional entertainers, but I have never left a comedy show feeling more "connected" with a comedian. Even if I did, I'd still realize putas just seem funny because they're fine as hell, otherwise they'd be professional comedians.

No, it is not okay or normal to date gold diggers, otherwise there wouldn't be dozens of articles online warning pathetic, susceptible men of the red flags to watch for when dating one.

The fact you don't understand these things indicate you don't don't know what healthy relationships look like, so your insistence that you're getting meaningful conversation or true emotional connection from putas is exactly the kind of thing that some of us find sad.

I've never done the 24 hour, 2 or 3 day date thing, but I definitely want to try it. I don't see anything wrong with it. It all depends on how you work it. It could go great or it could turn out to be a mistake, all depending on the individuals involved. Guys who do that I definitely wouldn't call them "losers". In many ways I'd say they're definitely winning.

If you are paying a Tijuana hooker $400 to $500 a day for companionship, you are definitely losing and NOT winning anything.

A seasoned vet would simply know that.

You're going to start driving in Tijuana? All I can say is "welcome to the jungle". Haha! Seriously it's not that bad. Like anything else once you start to get the hang of it, it's not that bad. Personally I love driving around Tijuana. Make sure you have good tires on your car and a good spare just in case. The potholes can be a *.

Yeah, decided to take my car as I was paying so much for taxis and I don't drink. Before didn't want the hassle if I got into an accident, but I like the freedom of just wheeling around. Picking up HK regular that just had lipo later today after 5 as she is taking online classes. She wants to check out Chapultepec and then who knows what, but Marriott is booked for nighttime activities. Who knows, maybe we can have some car fun in the parking garage? She wants me to meet her cousins which is odd, but hey I'll play. I'm taking the electric car as the sports car would definitely get banged up. Last time I took a car down to Tijuana was when I missed the last uturn back to US. Good thing now is Waze should be able to help me navigate back to where I need to be.

I rarely am in zonavon a Wednesday because Tuesday has HK 2 free beers and 20 dollar hotel with VIP. Anyway. All the clubs very packed with woman. I would say, every club has 2 to 3× the woman compared to ore covid. Probably 70% of the men compared to more covid. Hong Kong had a lingerie contest. Must of been 200 or 3 o0 woman in HK not counting Chavelas. Chicago had woman, as did tropical, I could not find a good girl though. Street girl tried to charge me 50 in the room. Kept preventing me from leaving. Eventually I paid her 20 to eat her out till I couldn't any more. Bar Korea, had 1 dollar beers. Think it was a Wednesday special. Bar Korea, every time I go they renovate the place. It was full of woman 10 to 15 pounds overweight. So basically it has become the new Chavelas. I don't mind the chubby girls in Tijuana. To date? It's even more insane how much they pay, how much crazy shit they put up with having real arguments in their fake relationship, and the kind of lies they believe. The funny thing is you'll never hear these losers be honest about how much energy, time and money they've really invested in putas because even after they've been played they try to convince themselves some part of it was real.

Yes I have done a couple days with a few girls, but in my opinion it isn't worth it. Now I just use them for my pleasure and they use me for $$. I don't fall in love anymore. When I start to feel something for a girl I know it is tine to change them out for a new one. The putas only hurt you in the end if you let them. Thank for the warning, I wish in life everything could be simple. Example walking to a foreign country and not having to keep my guard up because I want to have sex with women. You'd think something so simple would be easy, but there's always other factors like girls wanting to scam you, blackmail, rob, etc. (I'm not saying all girls) just the risk is always there when you take part in this hobby.

I've had more ripoffs, close calls, etc. Stateside than any international trips. One time I think I was almost involved in a sting, but lady didn't go through with inviting me to room. I turned around and left and saw a cruiser in the street. Just bros looking out for bros. Yeah its definitely hard for me to fathom. A good way to view it, is, many dudes like to spend money on woman anyway. Some guys never let a girl pay when dating. They love the idea of being the one paying for everything. So if you are already one of those guys, have tons of money, then it's easy to transition towards paying 300 to 500 a day. They like to buy things. To feel like they own things. They own that girl for a day. Even sex is depressing if I'm paying for it. In fact I need to drink to even do it. I used to date many woman much prettier than what I see in these bars. And I'm not handsome or tall but I put in hundreds hours on tinder to get those dates. I think any guy who can afford to pay woman 400 a day is probably capable of pulling woman on tinder. Because they will have a home, nice clothes, a good car, a career, and if you have all those things it won't matter what you look like for at least 5% of the woman. Sure the other 95% may still need looks.
