Life in Mexico is normally precarious for 90% of the population, living hand to mouth from 1 day to the next. With CoVid-19 shutting down almost all economic activities and evaporating earnings for most people, a lot of people, including putas' families, their children and elderlies, will start going hungry in the next couple weeks, if not already. I could be very wrong here. But I think this illustrates the difference between the Mexican and US economies. More than half of all Mexicans work for their next meal. To some, paycheck to paycheck is a luxury. Many are day to day. I've seen some say Mexico has no social net in place. In fact they do. But they sure are not getting $1200 checks. They are very fortunate if they qualify for $100 a month.

I'm not justifying the actions of these chicas. But I do sympathize with the challenges many face. Take a chance and earn my next meal? Or go hungry?

I do not see, even in the worst projections, where the US economy leads to that level of despair. But I do appreciate those in the government that are looking months down the road and putting the pieces back together, and limit the devastation.

Girls who bang strangers, who can give them many other diseases from a cold to the flu to hiv herpes, or flat out beat them or worse, when that's your job, it's hard to be scared of coronavirus. If someone is under 40, and doesn't smoke, even if you get coronavirus the odds you end up dead are probably 1 in 2000 or maybe 1 in 5000. We are talking really low odds. Guys start reporting getting CoVid19 from Tijuana. They probably infected a few other people and dozens of chicas.
