MY 2 cents on Mexican prescriptons

Sorrry guys this is going to be a little long winded but it took me a couple of years to get the info I am fairly certain is accurate. By the way, thouhg I dont' usualy admiti it, I am 50 some years old, grew up in La, have been going to Mexico since I was 17 and not to sound too arrrogont but have seen more of Meico than anyy native I'v run into. My longest trip was a solo dowm to Oxaca and back (about 2500 - 3000 miles each way in an old "64 bug, - can't remember -iitwas 25 years ago,. Iv'e alos driven the Baja and been to just about every other touist trap you can name Like i said , not trying to blow my own horn but I have had much experience wirh threir "customs".

Firs of all US scripts by law are not valid down there. Perhaps the Farmacias will accept them, Iv' never tried. But my experiancne has been that if you have a US script have it filled in the US. I usa COSTCO and have found their prices to be about 25 to 30% less than what I pay in TJ. Why waste the money on Gas, nerves, et, at.
Trying to friend a "gingo" friendly Farmacia is not only stupid but a waste of time and money (believe me - been thre done that). They tack on the Dr,s fee and you'r walking around with illegal drugswich can land you in a TJ prison for many moons.besides that, you're smuggling illegal drugs back into the US wich can get to into some heavy trouble here!

I've found the easiest and safest way to get them is to go to a reputable Farmacie and tell them of course you,rre from out of town (duh) and ask the for a Dr. rcomenationn. They'll give you one usually a street or two away (they) want the bus too (I use Farmacia Internatinanal at 3rd and Rvolution - If anyone watns a couple of Dr. names addresse etc. You can PM me at Jackson's other site USASexGuide.info - I'm omly a low life regular member on this board and don't have tht "privledge" should be able to PM at his other site USAsxguide.info. No offense Jackson. You probably earn less than you deserve.

Anyaway, The Dr. will ask you a few simple qestions, usually charge you about $30 or so. They make 3 copies. One for their records, one for the Farmacia and the third for your records in case th Policia stop you, you are legal (though this doesn't mean squat in Mexico) Yet one national who seemed he know what he was talking about told me the best approach if this happens is to not show any sign of fear or weaknes, the cops dowm there aren't stupid and don't wmt to waste ther time and know that there are too many idiots on the street to waste their time wiith someone who acts like they know what they are doing.

My Dr. on the other hand brlives it's easier to pay "la gripa" Get their badge # and report them to the US consolate ASAP. The decision depends on you and your frme of mind at time.

One last thing of some interest. The hardest info to find was from the US side soI finally stopped (aftre I crossed th border) I polity asked the what the US policy was abuot birnging back scripts without a US Dr, presciption. I used the line that I was going to have some dental work down there and woud need some drugs and wanted to play it bty the book. They kept putting me off (don't want to ginve out that info - hell try checking their webiste or giving them a call and you'll get no info) Anyway after politely grilling for 5 or 10 minute they finaly told me tht any perscrption that was legal in the US was also legal if perscribed by Mexica Dr, and you had the paperwork.

Since then when I come across an if they ask if i ha any thing to decare (Which they only do about 50% of the time, I sat tht I have 'a presciption for personal use'. I've hear they can send you to secondary wich is no big deak cause you're legal but thry have always let me pass righy on through.

Sorry, told you it would bee long winded, but hopeit has helped some of you out,
If any body has any other info or can correct any info I' attempted to relay.

Thanks for youir time. My next report will be on my trip to TJ last Tues. and will be a lot more fun t read, Adelita's was great - there really ia close to a 1 to 1 ratio (Girls to guys) insted of the weekend 10 to and most of them were really hot, SW''s were out there too many of them the usual pglets but some really hot onrs that looked boares-d an ready to baragain.

    Biz as per usual

Tijuana, being the ***** that she is, will be wide open for business this election weekend (but do stay away as I'd like Adelita's all to myself this saturday...)

Dunno, but all I know is that TJ will be shut down on Sunday and I guess I'll spend my time and my dime at Harrah's.

Mutha Foo - I think it will depend on who wins. If Calderone (same party as Fox) prevails, then currency will probably stabilize. If Lopes Obrador wins then that's a differnent story altogether. That dude sounds like a watered down version of Hugo Chavez, so he is making all the business people very uneasy. If he prevails, look for a flight of capital from Mexico, increased unemployment and a falling peso. Right now, it's too close to call, although the smart money has the crazy guy a few points ahead. Depending on who wins, things may just become a little cheaper for us gabachos!

Tijuana is in Baja California Norte, so that would make it a different state from where Cabo is.

I'll take your word for it but Cabo is in a different state than Tijuana, Ensenada etc. As I said below alcohol sales were business as usual for the last elections in the state of Baja California.

    Blue Nose - Currency

Currency will probably fall but not by very much. My guess is 11 pesos to the dollar.

For the last month it's been above 11.0 and rocks this week around 11.3.

Mexico's state and federal electoral code used to mandate dry elections but the laws have been changed. Bars in Baja California were open during the last state wide elections so I expect the same will be the case this time for the federal election.

I live in Tijuana, and this is what I'm hearing about the election: Bars will be closed thoughout Mexico, but Tijuana will be the exception. The reason is that since Tijuana is so close to the border and the election is so close to July 4th, the area will lose too much money. The only areas allowed to be open, however, are in the entertainment zones (Revolucion, Zona Norte).

I'm not stating this as fact, but this is what the locals are telling me.

    Mexican Elections - July 2nd

    Guys,

The Mexican Federal elections are coming up next weekend. I believe that Sunday July 2nd is the day they go to the polls. I don't want to be accused of sprading false information, but I believe all bars in the country must be CLOSED that day, including ones in the zone. If you're heading down to TJ for the Independence Day weekend, you may want to plan on doing something else on Sunday. There may still be some SG action, but I would imagine most of the clubs will be closed unless they are not serving alcohol (unlikely). I have never been there on an election day, so I do not know for sure. This is just what I hear from the locals.

Depending on the outcome of the election, you may see their currency stay where it is now (~10.5 pesos / USD) or it may fall significantly as it has in the past. Stay tuned.

Legally, you are allowed to purchase 50units(not 90days anymore) of meds to be brought back to the US with a US script if asked for it. Do not try to bring back scheduled CII meds and anabolic steriods without a US script. You do not need a US script for non-scheduled meds. Again legally, you need to get a Mex script(a US script is no good) for all meds purchased in TJ/Mex or a $hakedown is a high possibility because it is illegal to purchase meds w/o one.

You can ask any of the pharms to direct you to a mex doc that will write you a script for $20-$25 per 1 med.

    Lisa

Has anyone see a woman named Lisa near the alley? She's about 39 y/o, mexican american - very fair skin with big juggs, wavy hair & tattoos on her tits (Ricardo in cursive). I fucked her last year in a hotel on the alley. She was from san diego - a DJ she said. But living in TJ, and generally didn't go to the states. Interesting. I figured she was either hiding out from the law or keeping close to a supply. She enjoyed our sex so much she actually invited me to her apartment a few blocks away next to the Molina. Unfortunately, she had a boyfriend who payed for many of her expenses & got in the way. So, my multiple encounter got cut short. Just interested to see if she was still around.

Hang out enough there and you'll see an american almost every time near the alley. Always trying to either get drugs or a hook up to buy drugs. And they're always in shitty shape from being short on dope. Cops don't care, they're spread out or sitting on the corner slumped over like a rag doll - and everyone just keeps walking.

Of course, she's dressed like a ****, isn't from there, and clearly has a habit.
Now, you're in a country with scarce resources, babe (bless your heart). I don't see outreach coming to take any girls to rehab. It's got to be an awful position to be in.
