Phordphan had mentioned the place looked closed when he went by. As an after thought, it will always look that way as it is a typical sneak in and out with the neighbor's wife kind of place.

That overhead door opens into a parking area kind of a court yard setting, nothing fancy but it works. Just drive on in to the door and order up a room at the window. 200 pesos or $16 US they use around 12.50 to a dollar so best use pesos. Gives you an uninterrupted 6 hours with your honey. Can someone tell me what type of animals they have caged up near the desk? Cute little things whatever they are.

Next door to the West or left hand side is a Chinese restaurant, haven't tried it but rumor has it almost all customers are Chinese so maybe it's good. LOL.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to take some time to introduce myself, I'm from Colorado, honestly a sex prison within sex prison, but you can read my reports under the same handle at the USA boards. I'm hoping to become an international monger in this life starting with Tijuana! Thanks to all of you who have contributed over the years I'm very prepared. I'm going primarily for the girls and the food (A special thanks to Phordphan and Tomjackin for the food recommendations, I have it all listed), some gambling too, and to learn a little Spanish. The dollar has gained 10% against the peso over the past three months but no one has mentioned it. So I'm curious. Does that mean that most of you don't bother to exchange your dollars for pesos when you're in Tijuas?

For sure I use pesos when practical. Today at the last cambio in S. Y. It was above 14 pesos to the dollar. Sweet.

The last time I went down to Tijuana was back in June. As I stated then, my biggest issue is the alibi. This time, I did some planning. I also made sure I had a Passport Card so I could use the Ready Lane. I needed to make sure my wait time was short enough that I could go down and back in one day. I live 100 miles north of the border. My goal was to be down at the club at about 10:30 am and leave in time to be home by 6:00 pm.

Traffic going south starting at 8:30 isn't too bad. By the time I got to the northern part of SD county, it was after 9:30 and most people were at work. I parked at the same place as last time, behind the Jack in the Box and crossed over around 10:45. When I got to the spot where you pass by the line going back to the US, there wasn't anybody in the Ready Lane. So I thought I was going to be in good shape when I came back in the afternoon.

I walked over the bridge to the taxi stand and said, "Hong Kong". He actually dropped me off in front of Adelitas. I paid him $5 and headed into Adelitas. I looked around and it was pretty quiet. But that is what I expected. So I wasn't disappointed. I saw one tall girl that I liked, but didn't want to settle in yet. So I looked around a bit more and headed back out, knowing that it was early in the shift and that I could probably find her later. I knew I was early, so I wasn't in a rush to sit down and drink or start negotiating.

Then, I walked into Las Chaveles. It was what I expected. Saw 4 girls. None were of my liking, so I turned around.

Finally, walked into Hong Kong. This is my favorite place. I just like the atmosphere. It's more lively than Adelitas. I sat down and ordered a beer from the mesero. He asked me if I wanted a girl. If I had gone in the Ready Lane, I think I would have shaved 15-20 minutes off that.

I was on the freeway by 3:30 and got stuck in traffic near Del Mar. I didn't expect that. I thought I was early enough. But despite the traffic, I reached San Clemente by 5:00 and was home before 6:00 easily. Since I am not used to drinking during the day, I was pretty tired. I guess I could have ordered waters, but I felt like I should be drinking while mongering.

It is getting close to the Holidays, so I probably won't go back down until February. The memories will have to last.

They are 60 pesos less on the other nights of the week. Weekly rents are probably around 1,700 pesos.

I also recently rented a double room in the (relatively) newer tower portion of the hotel for 450 p on Friday and weekend nights and 60 p less the other nights.

Weekly rates for the doubles are either 1,950 p or 1,875 p.

Singles in the tower are priced in between these two other options.

I've been staying here for not years but actually a few decades, I pay $32.000 USD for a single room in the tower (3rd or 4th floor) plus a $2. 00 USD key deposit. Yes I have stayed other places but just have some comfort level knowing the place for so long.

Well, I did recently mention the dollar has appreciated over the peso by 11.75% over the past year. And HK has not adjusted their tipo do cambio as of yet. In fact, I think they've may have adjusted it once, if at all, the past 3 years. So basically it is a proven fact that HK doesn't care at all about FX rate fluctuations. But curiously there seems to be one member of this board that seems to think HK monitors FX rates "like hawks" in order to basically take no action at all in 2-3 YEARS.

The exchange rate in HK changed from 12:1 to their current 12.5:1 during the first half of this year (2014).

Expect another adjustment soon.

BTW, does anybody have any info on Motel Paraiso on 9th in Centro? I was going to try that, as it's close to our pickup spot, but it looked closed due to the rain.

Rents for 200 pesos 6 hours if you ask for the promotion, week days. No wifi, no climate control, lousy tv but who cares. Test the bed first, some are way saggy.

BTW, there is a new club next to the Seafood Restaurant half a block from Tropicals. I think it's named Dolce & Gabanna for some stupid reason. Pretty girls and nice layout. Unfortunately, they designed the club so that there isn't much privacy. Everyone sits at the outer walls facing each other. And there is too much lighting. It feels like you're at a shopping mall. On the other hand, the girls are young and attractive and the ratio of men to women tend to be low, even on a Saturday night. It seems like a nice place to get away to after the Sausage-fest battle at Hong Kong on a Weekend. It is what one would consider a "Classier" place.

This club has been there for a while (Years). There are some dimes in there but its basically following the pricing like the girls in HK. You can negotiate just like HK. Their hotels are about 3 notches below Cascadas. I stop there because the drinks are 241. Don't fall for the VIP room crap here. You don't get to fuck the girl there unless your brad pitt or have repetoire with the girl.
