Posts: 1941$10 for a taxi from HK to Restaurante Caesars
It's just a 10 minute walk and exercise is good for the body especially to burn off the calories from alcohol.

Posts: 3379More observations:
Tijuana has still not recovered from Covid, in the sense that many shops and restaurants are closed. Revoluciķand has an additional problem of construction closing down long stretches.
Hong Kong bar has expanded, but by cannibalizing the other bars in the Zona. Soon, HK will be an island in an area empty of bars.
Bar Tropical was dead today. Never seen it so empty.
Lots of signs for meseras. At the same time, the percent of locals in the bars has increased. It's a sign that an improving economy. More men in the Zona, less ladies. And the percent of ladies in HK with expensive surgery is way up. At $100+ for Short Time, it makes economic sense, let's say 5 STs a week is $25,000+ a year income, so investing $5000 for surgery pays off.
The expansion of Hotel Adelitas has halted, and it looks to be a bit of a hazard, with shoddy scaffolding hanging in the air over the Callejon.
I paid $10 for a taxi from HK to Restaurante Cesar. Coming back, I had a Mexican lady get the taxi - 70 pesos.

My guess is that her boyfriend wouldn't take care of the baby, and she didn't want to ghost me. So she showed up, but clearly she had to get home fast.

Posts: 3379There are Army soldiers posted in the Callejon now. I have never seen that before.
La Valentina bar is closed. Probably due to the Adelitas closure.
I had a mesera from Rio Verde over last night, lots of horror stories from there (customer got their wallet stolen by a mesero, etc). Apparently, there is a shortage of dancers in Tijuana now.
In general, I am seeing an aging of the chicas, as SGs and bargirls seem older than before Covid. I suspect that the availability of birth control in Mexico is resulting in less cases where a young lady gets knocked up by a guy who then leaves; less single moms = less bargirls.

Posts: 3379My first night in Tijuana was a bust. The plan was to have a former bargirl come to Hotel Ticuan. We were to meet in Cesar's restaurant. She has been barraging me with messages asking to hook up.
I hadn't seen here in a couple of years, I knew she had a baby.
So, she showed up at Cesar's. With the baby. Oops.
After the meal, she had to go home because the baby was sleepy, or she was sleepy.
So I went back to my hotel to sleep. One more point, I noticed she pregnant as she was leaving.
No idea what she was thinking.

Posts: 3379I'm in Hotel Ticuan for one night. There's no refrigerator in the room, so I am making due with a bag of ice from Oxxo.
The plan is to bring a lady to the room. We'll see how that works out.
