Went to Colombia beginning of Dec.

What would happen when you get sick? Colombia looks like a very poor country, with very poor public services. Do you know enough about their healthcare system, health insurance and the quality of care they can deliver there? Do you think when you have heart attacks or strokes, they can do competent jobs to save your life? A friend just had a triple heart bypass in the US, the bills totaled over $1.2 Mil. You think Colombia will spend that much on you, or even has competent medical providers who can do it?

In contrary, Tijuana is right next to San Diego with its good healthcare system and many medical facilities staffed with competent professionals. If you are stricken by illness, you can walk, crawl or hire some guys to push your wheelchair across CBP checkpoint and dial 911. An ambulance will be happy to run over quickly, pick you up and deliver you to the right medical facilities, medical care givers will do everything available, including some very expensive procedures, so they can bill your insurance or Medicare. Isn't that sweet?

You can find decent 2-bedroom apartments in clean, safe areas near the border pretty cheap. Partner up with another guy so you can look out for each other in emergencies. By my estimation you would have plenty money left from your pension every month to spoil your bar sweethearts to death..

To be honest, over the years I have read many of your posts, and I feel like you've always had a very strong bias towards Tijuana . . . I've been there to Tijuana too, and overall was not impressed with it as a mongering . . . There other places I strongly prefer, especially my two favorites of Brazil and Germany. . . I find it interesting that you chose to place your report here versus posting it in the respective South American threads. Had you done so, you probably would have drawn lots of incoming fire from the bros who frequent those destinations regularly to monger.

The Captain was posting in the appropriate threads throughout his trip, didn't cause too much of a firestorm. He was posting here because people on this thread were asking his opinions in light of his trip. Most people generally understand that what thrills one person won't do the same for another, including my favorite destination. I much prefer Colombia because of the numerous Venezuelans there, the Venezuelans have a look that I absolutely go for. Yet I appreciate Tijuana for what it has to offer as well, especially living so close to it most of the year.

I've been there to Tijuana too, and overall was not impressed with it as a mongering destination where I would go out of my way to take a "sex vacation" to. If I ever went again, it would only be because I happened to be in the area. There other places I strongly prefer, especially my two favorites of Brazil and Germany. I love Germany, didn't go to the top clubs in Frankfurt, but have been to several by Dusseldorf Area. Acapulco Velbert (only 40 euro for 30 min), living room, goldentime (50 euro for 30 min). Goldentime was my favorite and really loved the environment, not grimey / dangerous like mongering in Latin America. Never had to worry about getting drugged / robbed by a girl / thug.
