I don't have my passport currently. Some offices are delayed 5 months. Some have no delays. So Mexico wants 20 bucks from me each time. But I only go to Mexico for few hours or 1 short night. 20 bucks 3 times a week ads up. I've only paid once got walked back twice walked in undetected 3 times. I can't refuse to pay again though as its the same staff they will flip out. So I'm done with Tijuana till 2021 or 22.

Let's hope Tijuana can make it through till then.

Yes. I've been deported or walked back to us twice this month for refusing to pay. Since I have a passport maybe that's why it caused zero delay. I had photocopy of it. Worst case scenario an hour or 2 delay is worth going to hk if going to hk is your thing. Its also a good option to avoid stamp if you are married.

The real concern is the Mexican border agents. I have seen them turn back people without passports since they started checking passports. If you are a US citizen they can look up your drivers license or passport in their systems. When I was robbed a few years ago they simply looked me up in their computer.

Tjiuana is not a big mongering location compared to Colombia or Thailand, but the only location where out of state guys can fly in under CoVid travel restrictions. It's convenient, compact and has a good selection of girls year round.

Citing coronavirus, Trump administration weighs more restrictions on the US-Mexico border that could include citizens.

It's the latest attempt by the administration to seal off US borders, citing the virus. In March, the administration invoked a public health law to swiftly remove migrants, including children, who are apprehended at the border. That action, including a series of other travel restrictions, has been extended over the course of the pandemic.

The options being weighed by the administration would also likely rely on authorities from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the source said. The New York Times first reported on the possibility of barring Americans from returning to the US on a limited basis amid fears they may be infected with the coronavirus.

"Career professionals at the CDC are working on an overall approach to pandemic control both now and in the future," an administration official with knowledge of ongoing discussions told CNN. "The regulation is in draft form and subject (to) change. This is an ongoing process and any reporting on this would be extremely premature. ".

CNN reached out to the CDC and the Department of Homeland Security, which declined to comment.

A draft memo obtained by the Times says any move to block citizens and legal permanent residents must "include appropriate protections to ensure that no Constitutional rights are infringed" and would apply "only in the rarest of circumstances. ".

The US outpaces other countries in coronavirus cases, including Mexico and Canada, which have 480,278 and 122,053 cases, respectively.

Previous travel restrictions imposed by the administration during the pandemic have excluded US citizens and legal residents. For example, the US limited nonessential travel at land ports of entry with Canada and Mexico. Americans cross the borders regularly for a range of reasons, including work, attending school, visiting family and tourism.

Any move targeting US citizens and lawful permanent residents, in particular, is likely to face legal challenges. In the wake of the Times report Monday, the American Civil Liberties Union immediately dubbed the move "unconstitutional. ".

"The Trump administration has rolled out one border ban after another — most recently on children and asylum seekers — using COVID-19 as an excuse, while failing abysmally to get the virus under control in the United States," said Omar Jadwat, director of the ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project, in a statement.

"The rumored order would be another grave error in a year that has already seen far too many," Jadwat added.

The most redeeming features of Tijuana for me were: the relative ease of access from the USA, even during the pandemic; the very comfortable weather; Mexican culture in general; the excellent and affordable food; the highly rewarding loyalty program of Hong Kong / Hotel Cascadas / Restaurante Azul; the convenience of "one-stop shopping" in the small, compact area of el Zona Norte; the low prices of the street girls; and the relatively consistent and reliable performance of most of the street girls, albeit within their very narrow limits. The significant downsides included: my distaste for the common body types and facial features among many of the street girls; the low standards and limited range of the services that they provide; their general coldness and lack of GFE; the low quality of many of the short-time hotel rooms; and the efforts of local guys to make money off me. Unfortunately, I missed most of the makeshift club scene that had cropped up in the attached hotels, as the authorities had shut it down just before my arrival. I feel bad for you bro just looking at the photos you included with your report, especially given that you visited all the way from NY. This is exactly it. As an American citizen you have the right to return home. But the border agents can take their time confirming you are a citizen. A drivers license helps, as does a birth certificate. I know hundreds of people who have crossed over for medical procedures without a passport -- a DL and birth certificate are fine and since they are in the medical lane in an authorized van they don't even get a second look. But if you are walking or driving through a regular lane you'll probably be sent to secondary. How long they keep you there while they confirm your identity is up to the agent and the phase of the moon. Could be a few minutes, could be four hours.
