Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Monday that 161 men were arrested and 51 potential human trafficking victims were helped as part of a statewide anti-human trafficking operation.

The anti-human trafficking sting titled "Ohio Knows" took place over the course of a week, resulting in the arrest of 161 men who solicited sex, three of whom were trying to solicit sex from a minor, Yost said.

It was the largest sting in the history of Ohio to date..

Did any of the other Zona Norte regulars notice how quiet it was this weekend? If so, anyone know why?

Saturday I arrived in the zone just before 1 am and hit Tropical first and I couldn't help noticing that I was able to grab a table next to the main dance floor, which never happens on the weekends unless its super late. Not only that, but aside from the guys sitting at tables w / gals at the West end the rest was pretty empty. At least for a Saturday. After that beer I went to Chicago and spent a couple of hours there drinking, slipping in 20 P notes here and there and once again it was pretty dead. The whole night felt more like a Wednesday / Thursday than it did a weekend.

Sunday afternoon the only club that had more than a dozen gals was Hong Kong and even Hong Kong didn't have as many women working as they normally do at that time and a lot of empty tables on the first floor. It was so chill in Hong Kong that I actually sat w / a gal over a ladydrink, I don't remember her name, but not the typical HK gal. All natural, girl next door more than a stunner. Spoke no English, but she let my hands wander and wander they did! Sitting with her got me worked up so I split after finishing my beer and got me an SW.

Overall, it was more odd than unpleasant being so dead. Granted I didn't step foot in either HK or Adelita, but I assume they were busy, but they're always busy.

If the bros pursue any illegal activities involving prostitution in major metropolitan areas, like street hookers. Massage parlors or web sites escorts, eventually they will be caught in police stings.

About early 2000's, a guy I know worked in managerial level at a Fortune 50 industrial company in LA, employing tens of thousands workers. On Friday paydays street hookers would line the major streets around the factories in that blighted industrial area, not residential, at lunch time and into the night. The guy went out to lunch and spotted a slutty-looking young girl hanging out near a motel. He stopped the car to offer her a "ride" and was quickly surrounded, man handled, cuffed up in a police van with a dozen other workers, a few even knew him at work.

The local police did not have evidence that he actually offered money for sex or took aany furtherance act for prostitution but they arrested and booked him anyway..

Saw a recent YouTube video from a guy who posted video of hookers from Zona Norte and Figueroa Street in LA. Was crazy when he was negotiating with the girls all the girls asked to see the guys dick. I guess cops won't show their dick. Sounds like a great way to vet customers. Can guys ask to see the girls pussy? Sounds like a good way to vet possible police?

Can anyone list out all the bars (including smaller ones) that have a VIP room option in Zona Nortre. I'm only familiar with Tropical, HK & Chicago and mostly Tropical.

Tropical is $45 for 30 minutes, which is the length I prefer. Though you always get extra time anyway. HK girls are too stuck up for VIP & Chicago only has an hour for $80.

Are you referencing the small private rooms in Miami club in HK? I think it was $20-25 and seems like 15 min. Maybe shorter. All the ones I've asked were down to go to the private rooms. I crossed into Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday for the evenings, with a wingman who lives in San Diego. This fellow never carries a passport with him, and he loves to cross with the locals. Most of these woman that take the help for being trafficked are going to be Asian woman without papers. So of course they take the help. 1st they will be given shelter some spending money, working papers, and eventually citizenship. And of course. Nothing stops them from getting that whole process going, and at the same time doing this kind of work when they want to again. Sure better than getting arrested. I've read articles about nyc Asian woman who went into this program and got papers and returned to this life because who wants to work for 15 dollars an hour when you can make 300 to 400 a day.

"Reducing the demand means we reduce the number of people who are victimized by human trafficking.

More than 90 law enforcement agencies participated in the operation, including federal, state and local law enforcement officers and social service partners.

Among those arrested were a teacher, a professor, a firefighter, a pilot, municipal employees and a city councilman.

A simultaneous operation carried out by the USA Marshals Service recovered 10 missing children.

According to Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree, 158 were arrested for seeking to solicit sex, three were arrested for internet crimes against children and 10 missing children were recovered.

"This is not just something that happens down in the hood in the city, it's in every county in every town in Ohio, poor neighborhoods, rich neighborhoods, educated, uneducated, Black, white, it doesn't matter, it happens everywhere and that's why this fight is so important. And that's why I won't rest until no one in Ohio buys or sells human beings," Yost said during the news conference.

Tampa, Fla. (WWSB) - Officials in Hillsborough County have announced a human trafficking sting operation that resulted in the arrest of 125 individuals.

Sheriff Chad Chronister held a press conference Monday on Operation Round-Up. Undercover detectives were also able to free four individuals, including a 17-year-old girl. A teacher and pastor were among the suspects, Chronister reported.

Joel Velasco, who was an employee of Hillsborough County Schools, was charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution.

Deputies worked 20 days on the sting and say some of the suspects believed they were messaging minors, sending explicit texts. You can watch the entire press conference below.

In most prostitution stings you would read dozens of Johns' names but never the pimp or traffickers. I don't think they could ever get near the pimps. I am guessing most arrested hookers, or trafficked "victims" would return to hooking and their pimps, so they don't rat them out.

If prostitution is decriminalized then hookers won't need pimps so there will be no trafficking problems to solve. By criminalizing it the women have to work underground and need pimps for support.
