Hey,

I got a trip there lined up and will have the pleasure of being there Fri and Sat. I got some questions that are kind of specific and my general ones have been answered by reading.

1 is hotel cascadas worth it? Fairly cheap and right there LOL what's better? I hear you have to pay a fee to bring a girl up? How much and would I have to do it every time. Street girls / outcalls count too?

With the VIP card if you want to stay in a hotel in the Zona, there's no better deal than HK. If you get your own overnight room, you do not have to pay to bring up any girls-- unless that's changed recently.

2. Is there a better hotel than cascadas?

What is your plan? If you want to party in the Zona and bang street girls and HK chicks, no. If you want to do anything with outcall sessions like escorts and stuff like that, Hotel Ticuan is the best way to go.

3. I was thinking Airbnb or Velario hotel. Do the club girls / street girls have preference to love hotel or Airbnb / Velario.

Club girls, in general, won't leave their club during their shifts unless you pay a massive fee. You can try and talk to them about doing something once their shift is over, in which case anything other than a rival club will be fine. You can try and talk a street girl into going to the Velario, but that's a hike from the alley, and I don't think you'll have any takers. Some Street girls will come to Cascadas if you pay them a bit extra, but not all will.

4. Any recommended massage parlors.

No. They all suck in Tijuana. Or at the very least, they're not worth the money.

5. Best underrated small club not HK or Adelitas or Chicago.

If you're asking this along with your other questions, IMO, you should not be thinking about anything other than those 3 in the Zona.

6. I'm thinking of driving and parking there wherever safe ofc. Good idea bad idea? Thoughts?

There are parking lots all over in the Zona. If you're staying there for a few days, and if your car is a concern, I would seriously look into Hotel Ticuan and just Uber or take cabs to the Zona to party and do your thing. I don't do overnights in the Zona any more, and when I go down there, I park somewhere in Zona Rio, and take a Taxi or Uber downtown, and then come back to my car.

I had a question but wasn't sure where to ask it. Did girls lower their rates during the 2008/2009 recession? I know some of you were around back then. Curious to know what happened to the sex work industry during the last recession.

The only time I remember rates going down or staying down was after 9/11. Tijuana turned into a ghost town in the tourist areas and those of us that still showed up were treated great. At that time CC was my favorite bar. Before 9/11 they had some girls trying to get guys for $80 when normal price was $60. After 9/11 they would be very happy with $60 and you could probably get many for less.

As another poster mentioned that this recession is different due to the inflation that is going with it. Prices on everything will be going up more next year so I'd bet on girls trying to actually raise prices instead of lowering prices.

I'd say there were more deals to be had simply because there were more girls around and the freelancers were in full swing. You could always get a $20 CIM / BBBJ from one of the freelancers to balance the books until the next session. Girls will always try to use an excuse to raise the prices. You just need to learn how to negotiate and most importantly WALK AWAY when they start uttering nonsense rules / prices.

Dang $20 BBBJ sounds nice. I am learning that walking away and not thinking with the small head down low is a good practice.

This time around we're dealing not only with a recession but historic inflation, as well as still being in the midst of a pandemic. All three still have significant effects on the Zona Norte economy.

Yeah it seems like the economy nowadays is closer to the 1970's then 2008. Maybe some super old mongers can chime in who were here in 1970's? Haha.

You can pre-book Ubers, I've never done it, but I'd imagine it would be fine to just arrange one the day before and so long as you've made it across the border in time, easy to align with. Can't imagine why you wouldn't just take the blue line though, it starts running way early.

Does blue line start at 4:45 also what trolley stop do I get off to get a Uber to the airport or do the busses run early enough to catch one to the airport. I don't remember all the connections anymore since Uber was invented.

Let me restate my post. I don't think it was written correctly. I want to know if I can catch a Uber in San ysidro to the San Diego airport after I cross from Mexico at 4 am. I know I can find a taxi in Tijuana at 4 am. I see them honking that late but if push comes to shove I will just make an appointment like someone said. I'm worried there will be no Ubers in San Diego at 4 am. I researched the blue line on the trolley starts at 445 am. I guess I could take that if no uber shows up. Has anyone gone to the airport from San ysidro at 4 to 5 in the morning.

I've been able to get an uber at that time before 4 and 5 am. Wasn't an issue but I would think there's some business for drivers at that time in the morning for crosses trying to get to work in the US.

I've had no experience with this. BUT I have had experience with a taxi rushing me from the San Ysidro border to the airport at 7/8 am in the morning so I could make my flight on time. Got extremely drunk my last night in Tijuana a few years ago and overslept. Woke up in my hotel at Cascadas around 2 hours before my flight was set to take off LOL. Packed all my shit quick and jumped in the first taxi to the border. By the grace of god there was pretty much zero line at the border at that time for whatever reason (took me maybe 15 minutes total to get through) but I still wasn't going to make it in time taking my usual route of trolley and I didn't have Uber / Lyft set up on my phone back then. But I did see a few taxis lined up on the side when existing the border screening area so I waived the first one over. Guy told me he could get me to the airport for $60 so I went with it since I really had no other options. He sped through traffic a bit but I did end up barely making my flight in time LOL.

So worst case scenario there should at least be some taxis on the USA Side of the border around as they're anticipating there will be some who need rides ASAP with the trolley not being available at that time.

Done that a couple of times myself this last year. It takes longer than usual to find a ride as there isn't as many drivers available at those hours, but it's worked out. And if you want to avoid lines, Global Entry or SENTRI is the way to go.

If you are concerned about Uber then make arrangements with a taxi to pick you up at that hour. I do it all the time with the blue and white taxis outside CC. Those guys operate 24/7 and are a family. If one person isn't around they call the other member to do the job. Jesus, Coco, and Miguel are their names. Go up and talk to them.

Tijuana. Will you sleep? I wouldn't even be able to sleep trying to line all that up. I would just go to San Diego the night before and stay in a hostel or cheap hotel and not go to Tijuana or HK the night before. The hotels are cheaper now until until spring again.

Prices will continue to rise in Tijuana. Back then Tijuana wasn't the 2nd biggest city in mexixo. San diegi and LOS angles population has skyrocketed. They haven't built new Zona Norte anyplace around here. In mexixo, the slower the business has been the higher the prices get to cover foe the decreased profits. That's the formula they used for covid times. All the girls are told what their prices are. Otherwise we would have price wars and instead of the 120 average it would be about 50 60. Plus the recession,. What does that even mean to any one individual person? Business owners have never had so much free labor and free money from the government that they have now. Everyone is perfecting how to be a millionaire one way or another. The only people left behind from. The inflation are the minimum wage workers. Like myself. We got priced out of Hong Kong etc. But everyone is making a fortune.
