The mafia at PedWest will not accept the normal rate posted on the board in front of them 50 p. I walk to the end of the bridge or have someone pick me up on a side street. One of these assholes got me for $6 at PedEast one night entering at 1 am. I had a shitload of money on me. What was I to do?

I urge any and all to stick it to the taxi mafia if all possible but that isn't always an option.

A tip for you for getting Uber for after you cross, put your mobile in "airplane mode", and back on again. I was getting no signal for a while and remembered that triggers it to switch to Mexico cell towers.

Also, there is no Lyft in Tijuana.

Adelita's and Chicago now have shuttle service back to the border. I don't think there is a fee, but I tipped the driver a fiver anyways. I took Adelita shuttle as I stepped out onto the street from arriba the driver saw I was a legit Adelita customer that night and also asked which crossing I wanted to go to.

Took Chaparral PedWest crossing coming back 4 am absolutely no line at all.

\Just a caution, I cross the Pedwest a couple weeks at about 8 pm, it near dark and my uber did not work (I use ATT iphone sx). As there are not many people there at that time, the Taxi want 30 us dollar to the Marriott in Tijuana, normally just about 10 bucks. Initially I refused, wait for about 10 to 15 minutes until another Taxi from a different company come and want 20 usd.

Be prepared.

The usual going rate for taxi is still $5 to Coahuilla and again to the crossing? Just in case I run into issues or my phone battery dies.

Uber would seem safer, safer car, ID on record etc. I will try that out tonight.

My last visit, I was quoted $7 Dollars from Cascadas to the border. I'm going to try Uber on my next visit in two weeks.

Uber is extremely cheap and safe. Everywhere I go within a 5 mile radius from HK is less than MX $60.00, From border to HK is about MX $30.00 - MX $40.00.

Last time I went to Mexico I crossed San Ysidro and when I got to the street it was pretty chaotic. I had a VIP from Hong Kong that gives me a limo, I called but after waiting lost my patience. I instead go in the long taxi queue and eventually after 20 min in line get a taxi. So I am looking at the Uber option can you find your Uber easily in all that chaos?

Also I am hearing mixed reviews on which crossing is quickest to take back to the US. I guess it depends what time you are crossing. What is the latest?

Pedwest is usually quicker, less people, But there is a group of Taxi that they charge you 15 USD to HK.

Just take Uber. Uber is about half the cost and have never had problems.

I went into this bar for the first time. As expected, not that much to look at. I just wanted to drink a beer and see the place. The mesero guy kept bothering me, tried to run a girl over. Then he got out his phone to translate to me. I think he asked me about drugs, pointed to someone near the bar. I was only in the place for like 5 minutes. That crept me out and I got the heck out of there. I'the worry about them tampering with your drinks. Be careful.

Security is a joke. Why do they require papers for walking across, but not when driving? And that's just for Tijuana, no other entry point requires papers, just walk right in.
