I brought my current (expires 2022) passport book with me, and during the application process they took my passport book away from me (which I hadn't expected them to do) as part of the passport card application process, and they told me I will receive my passport book back, plus my new passport card, in about 4-6 weeks.

So apparently, if you already have a passport book, and you apply for a passport card, you have to temporarily surrender your passport book to Uncle Sam until sends it back to you along with your new passport card.

So as of right now I am passport-less. Except I do have my old expired (in 2012) passport book. It's my old one that I never threw out a few years ago when I renewed it.
They would have accepted the old passport book for the card application, after verifying that you had a current one. Trust me, I have done that, twice. The people wanted a birth. Cert, or current passbook, but I showed them the instructions for the card app, it says an expired book can be submitted after the agency verifies you have a current book. Read the instructions, it is very clear on that.

But don't wait, just go as you did before, the state department told CBP that they cannot refuse entry to an American citizen. If you want to be on the safe side carry birth cert and a DL.

Thanks for the response, makes sense. It turns out we didn't go today after all. My buddy had an old tree blow over in his yard due to today's high winds (Santa Ana's) and got stuck at home on the clean-up, so we pushed it back one week to hopefully next Wednesday. Will report then.

#2 or #3. You are worried about nothing. If you have your CA DL you should be fine. If they have any questions then tell them the truth. You should be fine

I figured. No biggie. I'll just not be able to go to Tijuana until I receive back my current passport book, and my new passport card, in the mail in a few weeks.

Fate had other plans. Just got a call from a buddy in L. A. Who's going to be in town Wednesday, and wants to hit up Zona Norte, but doesn't want to fly solo. And, as an enticement for my accompaniment, has offered to treat me to a round or two with HK or Adelita's finest (plus all I can drink and eat). Hell, that's an offer I can't refuse!

What should I do? My options are:

    1) Don't take the chance. Don't go.

    2) Take just my CA drivers license and show that to the agent when crossing back over, and tell the truth. That my current passport book was submitted with my application for passport card and I haven't gotten it back yet.

    3) Take my expired passport book and show that to the agent when crossing back over, and tell the truth. That my current passport book was submitted with my application for passport card and I haven't gotten it back yet. But here's my old passport.

    4) Any other options? I don't want to spin any tall tales because I suspect they can look up in their super-duper computer system that I have a passport book and I'm currently in application process for passport card. I suspect they can also look up my border-crossing history and see I'm semi-regular.

I don't want to miss out on a free afternoon of fine ladies, but on the other hand, I don't want to spend 24 hours sweating it out in secondary inspection, wondering if I'll ever be allowed back into my own country again! All thoughts / advice welcome. In return, I'll owe a trip report. Thanks guys!

But just goes to show some girls are excellent actresses. And always assume they are lying. Even if it doesn't make sense why they would.
That is simply her attempt to make sure to collect a BIG tip.

That's the first thing that came to my mind also. Even my GF's in th US try tricks like that, 'Oh, I couldn't call or text because my Verizon bill is overdue. ' I fell for it in the beginning but now I know better.

Seemed great, after our sexy time on Thursday, I thanked her and I was out, the next day I tried to get with her again, but she was always busy, she's was very popular. All the guys wanted her. It was evident when she went to dance on the main lower stage in Hong Kong, once she got up there. There was a large crowd around the stage. I texted her a few times, no response, next day Saturday, same situation. I was able to talk to her briefly while she was dancing in the Miami area, she said she didn't get my texts cause she didn't have credits in her phone, and I asked will I be able to see her tonight she said yes, she gets off at 3am to go to her room, I said ok. It sucked because up to this point I was waiting for her for about 2hrs for her to be free.

Have not been able to stop thinking about the place ever since. I want to make my way down again but don't really like going alone and don't know to many people who are in the hobby. I'll be up for a trip down at the end of May, if you are still interested by then.

    Easter trip

Had opportunity to head down to the Zona for half a day. By the way, Masked Turbator posted a classic piece of work on 4/21. I usually step into the bars less traveled and this time was no different. I got there during he day and walked to the bars. Being a day of observance, SW availability and quality was down. Still I partook with one and finished a lackluster session.

Then headed to all the usual spots, HK, tropical, LC, etc.

Finally stepped into Playboy Club next to La Gloria Bar. I got a nice table dance session with this somewhat thick girl. She was very friendly and somehow got around to telling me she had a newborn. I asked if she was lactating. She said she was and they hurted. She told me she would only show me the rack if I would suck on them. I agreed and then began and intense milking and DFK fest. We proceeded to the VIP section and for about $45 dollars got into several positions until completion. By the end of the session my shirt and the floor was stained with milk. Good thing I brought a sweatshirt to cover up.

I left without getting a name and number. If anyone is into that fetish, I believe she works Sun-Wed. I live for experiences and that was definitely a first. I've had two good experiences at Playboy over the years, though the ladies are poor to fair looking. It's also a good place to get a test drive, ie lap dance before you go FS. But I think Spanish is primarily spoken here.

Border crossing through the Ready lane took about 40 min at 7pm. Sentri line had no queue.

I would check the Rodeway Inn in San Ysidro. It looks to be about the nicest motel in San Ysidro from the outside. When I went past there last week they had a banner hanging down advertising I think something like $49 for week nights not sure about weekends. It might be a special rate so if you get quoted anything else ask them about the banner you saw on the building. Its also a short walk to the border.

See #7! I the rest is true but THEY ALL LIE! I don't care how long you know them. Some are better liars than others! I know about lying / I am an alcoholic! I am a professional liar! What pisses me off is that some of the chicas are BAD liars! If you are going to do it, at least be good at it!
