Follow up to my last post, if I take a taxi from the border to Chicago Club, are there taxis out front waiting (like in front of HK) to pick up fares to take back the border, when I am ready to go, say at 9 pm?

There is usually a black and yellow taxi that sits in front of CC. I used that taxi several times over the years. As well as the two blue and white taxis across the street. It is family base and I can always count on them as well. And, as mentioned, CC has it's own SUV that sits in front of the club.

I have not seen this like they do sit in front of HK. I would just walk back to in front of HK and jump in a taxi. Or what I do is goto the HK desk in front of HK and ask for a HK ride back to the border. Doesn't matter if you came from Chicago. We all spend time in HK and support the place so you can take the taxi back to the border even if you were in another bar.

Chicago has their own limo never mind taxis. But yes they will grab you a taxi if you don't want the limo. Just don't go home in any taxi with alot money incase the policia want your money.

So I get a message from a loca I spent time with months ago. She needs money of course. I do not send money. She offers to come see me in Tijuana. I find a flight for under $100. The airport fees are more than the ticket. Comes into Tijuana Friday late and leaves Sunday. She will do this for 5000 pesos. Her body is banging and all natural. He face is pretty I would say 7 out of 10 in face is accurate. Body brings her up though. She can take a while to get warmed into the mood but once she is going she is a top notch loca. She has a magic pussy.

We stay at a hotel in Tijuana Friday night. Nothing special just some where low cost to spend the night. Saturday morning we head to Rosarito. I have booked the Oceania Rosarito Inn. Nice place directly on the beach. Multiple large clubs 1 block away. Pools and jacuzzi by the beach. $200 a night total cost. ATV Rentals. Horse rides on beach. We explore some Saturday. Afternoon rolls around and I park for good after getting mucho beer and tequila. I get pretty barracho. We have sex for almost 2 hours because when I am this drunk I can still get it on but finishing takes a while. She nuts twice before I get mine. May also be we had sex the night before and the morning of.

Hit a few of the clubs. They were happening until 4 AM. Got a couple connections from locals. Still not sure the status of these connections. Sugar, papers or legit friends. My loca was sleeping. Went back to the room and woke her up to get ready to leave. We have another session after showering.

On checkout I find out about a medical pass. This gets me to front of border for $35. Funny how many complain about the walking version of the front of the boarder pass. This is about as official as it gets. Drop her off at airport. Spend some time in the Zona watching football and spending money there. Then hit the border with the medical pass. Gets me into a special lane that bypasses the other lines. Gets right to the front of the border. Less than 30 min total wait.

If you drive in, and avoid the afternoon rush hour, there will be no southbound wait at the border. And it's anybody's guess whether crossing northbound is quicker on foot or by car.

If you drive in, be sure to have Mexican car insurance. Your American insurance is not valid in Mexico, and the legal consequences for driving without insurance are far more dire than they are here. And always park in lots with attendants.

Most of the mongers on this board walk in. Those who drive usually do so because they need their car for more than short trips between the border, the hotel, and the zona.

So this is the game plan. Drive to Tijuana Friday am. Will be in SD since Monday for work but won't be free till Friday. I plan on renting a car to maneuver around SD. My flight is going to be Sunday PM. I plan on staying in MX till Sunday am. Flight is around 6 pm so what should I do to avoid missing flight. Hearing from others it's best to park and walk over since you don't have to deal with crossing via car and also not having Mexican car Insurance could avoid a headache.

Just need to know what to do when I park in us and walk over. And then the game plan when I leave back to us. Thanks on advance.

Anyone know where you can buy menthol cigarettes? I had to buy some mexican cigarettes and cannot for the life of me find the menthols. I was afraid to ask for 'cigarettes verde' as they might think I was trying to buy marijuana (which why would you buy it in Tijuana when its legal in California).

Also found out it may be helpful to carry your own lube around if you're doing anything that requires it as some girls might not have it and its cheaper to buy it at a farmacia than at the front desk of any hotels.

At hotel Caesars you can bring streetgirls as long as they do not 'look' like street girls. Tell them to buy a face mask and wear gears / sweater or something like an escort would and you should be fine. If she is a busted looking street girl you might have problems and of course you always have to pay them a little more for walking to your own hotel. But you can also negotiate longer stays and more services with your favorite street girls.

I've brought escorts to the Valerio. Valerio is the absolute end of the puta zone as of 10/08. If you go to the end of the block and turn right you'll see street vendors selling clothing and such.

As far as going back to the US: I always walk.

As you are walking over the big bridge you'll make a left down a pathway towards the pedestrian route. If the line is at this point, your wait time should be roughly an hour. For reference as of 10/06 there should be an HK poster for the halloween costume contest on 10/26. The wait feels like longer than an hour though (this was around noon on a Thursday). I have a feeling the wait time would be longer on a Sunday. I also once went through very early in the morning (like 7 or 8 am) and there was almost no line comparatively speaking. I think if you go through at dawn or even a little before it there will be almost no line. On my next trip I will plan around this to get an early flight out.

When you Check in Cascada, wait until they confirm your room, then spring the VIP card for the discount. That way you can be sure to get your room plus discount without any bullshit. Pay day by day or reception may forget you prepaid.

But I found Cascada has been straight with its reservations and discounts. On busy holidays, reception may say all rooms booked, but guys who know reception and management can always get rooms at the last minute. Just tip reception and security guys a few bucks to make friends as they work 10-hour day for $15 and appreciate tips.

Perhaps others' experience has been different but I've never had an issue with them trying to screw me on the pricing. They have the prices clearly stated both on the website and on a sheet they have posted up at the check-in desk and I've never had a problem with them applying the discount. They want you to buy the VIP card and get the discount. If it's an issue, folks can always just book the room online and calculate what the price should be with the discount beforehand. The calculations are pretty straightforward since Cascadas doesn't charge taxes or other hidden fees on top like USA Hotels do.

With that said, there is one game they do play. If you haven't reserved ahead of time and they expect to be busy that night sometimes they'll tell you the standard (I. E. , cheapest) rooms aren't available (even if they are) so they can try and upsell you to a more expensive room. Had them try that on me once but that was several years ago. You get around that easy by reserving online in advance. Never had any problems with reservation or pricing going that route. Even reserving just a day or two in advance usually works well, though would actually advise reserving (much) earlier if you already know you're going to be down there.

As others said it does seem semi safe between HK and Chicago. Tropical and Adalitas etc. For some reason I do feel a bit more "exposed" by going over to Chicago compared to just walking between Adalitas, Tropical and HK. But it's just a feeling and not based on any experiences or what others have said.

If you want to play it Real safe. Just go between Chavellas and HK (inside the HK bar) and for a nice break you can go over to Azuls restaraunt by outside the front door. Then walking up the stairs into the Cascadas hotel to the third floor and walk all the way across to the back of the hotel (while inside the hotel) down a flight of stairs and into Azuls restaurant on the 2nd floor that looks over the notorious alley where all the street hookers (Paraditas) and drug dealers hang out doing their thing..

Safety is really a relativity issue. How one area is safer than the other, but cannot be really categorized as a safe area by itself. IMO, the path between the 3 clubs, plus the alley is probably the safest in the Zona Norte. Then followed by Alley. On the other hand, men have been murdered in these two locations. If you want to be really safe, don't wander around until you see a lot of military patrol. Cops don't really mean shit in the Zona Norte. I take that back. Cops do wear body armor so they work well as a shield.

Is it safe? Nothing is safe in Tijuana. If you already walk around in front of Hong Kong, just walk to that corner. There's chciago waiters who stand there and walk clients to the bar, do across the street. They then get the drink for you. Be careful crossing the street due to cars. Don't talk to anyone at all not even for 1 second. It's hard to get into trouble if you can discipline yourself to not stop moving your feet and don't talk to anyone. Comming back, I've done it 300 times. But nobody can guarantee you anything. That corner is where I met a guy, while my head was gushing blood, who told me "don't go telling the policia about the dudes who rolled you because I'll tell them and they will return for you". That corner, across the street is also major drug dealers, major cop bust gringo conrer, also trans woman now work there. Basically it's dangerous. Chicago Club has a limo ask one fo the guys to walk you back to Hong Kong for 5 bucks. They will be happy. Or ask a waiter in Chicago. A lot of someone's perception of, or definition of safe, really depends on how much risk they find acceptable. Like someone with kids and pets and a good career and a nice house should take more caution than others.

From one old fat gringo to another, the stretch between the alley (HK, Adelitas) it's about as safe as in front of HK. But I wouldn't go past Chicago.
