I personally don't have any concerns, but if your friend has concerns, don't apply. If they enjoy the long wait times at the border or airports, good for them. I personally don't. I have Sentri and Global Entry. No problems.

Wow. A very informative report with lots of good tips for other noobs.

That weekend I already went down with a couple bros Friday night, but upon hearing noob was driving all the way from Las Vegas, I did not have the heart to leave him by himself, so I made plan to go again Sunday. Lucky a Tijuana old timer, who has been going to Tijuana since the 80's as a teen ager, also mongering all over the world, was able to sneak out and go. Finally after months of researching, I was able to make not only my first solo trip to Tijuana but first solo traveling trip ever over the Memorial Day holiday weekend; just wanted to share my experiences with the community as a true "noob" traveler, so this post will probably be targeted to the fellow noobs ready to make that first trip.

I first obviously got my passport and global entry card taken care of since I heard that border crossing times especially on the way back can be hours and hours of waiting. I also took care of the FMM visa print out, listed it for 7 days since there's is supposedly no charge when only staying there for 7 days.

Drove over from Las Vegas to the San Ysidro border leaving early Sunday morning and arriving close to 5 hours after. I chose to park behind Jack in the Box, paid my $8 dollars for the first 8 hours, parked and walked over to the border.

Walking in, I was the only one in line coming to the immigration (right) side of the border crossing. I was called to the desk, showed all my documentation, said I was staying at the Hyatt hotel in Tijuana, passport stamped and I was waived through. No $30 charge for me, at least for this trip.

Walking down into the taxi lane, I went with the white color taxi cab company, asked the gentleman driving "Hotel Cascadas cinco dollars?" before getting in the car. Driver nodded, got in, threw him another $5 for tip and got to the hotel a few minutes later with no problem.

Got to the hotel around 1:30, was told my room wasn't ready yet, so I hung out in Restaurant Azul after signing up for the Hong Kong VIP membership. By 3 pm, the room was obviously ready so I checked in and went upstairs.

I was in contact with the Good Captain Solo from here. We were in touch and arranged to meet up during my trip down here since it was my first time and I had read about his experiences showing the new guys around. Once I got word he was in town, we actually met inside Hong Kong and got the afternoon / evening started around 3:30.

We started off with a few beers as he told me about some tips on going about my visit; it was still early in the afternoon, so the dayshift Hong Kong crew was still working. While still very good looking girls, the Captain reassured me that what I see now would be nothing compared to the evening shift. I'm sure he saw how excited I was to hear that.

After chatting, we step outside for a break and decide to check out the surrounding clubs, first one being The Tropical Bar. I had been hearing good things about the Tropical bar lately however our walk in didn't prove that. At this for this time in the day, very few girls and guests inside. We did a lap and then walked out, considering maybe to return later in the night.

Next was the Chicago Club. Chicago Club offers a free tequila shot upon entry so we mostly were there for that, as a quick lap around the club showed only a few girls who seemed like they would rather be anywhere else then there.

We then checked out Adelita Bar. Still being early, the club was fairly slow; out of the about 10 girls that were currently working, maybe 1-2 seemed worth spending time with. We had a few drinks then decided to return to Hong Kong.

Back in HK, which seemed busy compared to the other three clubs, I was introduced to one of Captain's friends and the three of us seem to hit it off right away as we watched some new girls coming in for the evening shift.

After a while, Captain's friend went off to do his own thing and after a few more drinks, Edith, came down to sit with us. Captain recognized her before and after they chatted for a bit, he gestured her to go sit with me and see if the two of us clicked. We waited only about 5-10 minutes or so to cross verses I'm sure much longer on the regular lines to cross. After dropping me off and saying goodbyes, I walked back over ready to finish out my night / morning.

Walking back was no problem, I went through the citizen line on the left this time and again taxi for $5 negotiated before getting in the cab. Felt like I was getting good at this already! Haha.

Made it back to the Zona, and I decided to take a walk around to see if any street girls would catch my interest this time. I came across "Gladys" on the intersection of the alley and Niño's Heroes. I asked her how much for everything, she quoted me $25, I told her $25 but with everything and "sin ropa" she agreed and we went back to the "short time hotel. " Since I hadn't even spent any time knowing this girl, it was a little strange to me right off the start trying to do this with someone I don't even know haha, true noob right here if you fellas can't tell.

Gladys was 23, long black hair, about 5'3, toned stomach, with tight but round enough ass and natural be's. I had actually seen her in one of the Zona Norte videos on YouTube and I had wanted to find her ever since. She was also warm, and welcoming, at least as much as she could be for the 20 minutes. One in particular I was looking for was "Caroline", however I wasn't able to find her that day. I didn't end up going with any of the street girls; instead I decided to check out the clubs again.

Back in Hong Kong, one thing I forgot to mention before was what happens when you find a girl who is worth a dollar tip. When you tip these girls, you're basically free to feel them, touch them for a few seconds however you want to. 1. Uber instead of the taxi. Not only is it cheaper, but it seems to be more discreet when dealing with any potential police problems.

2. Bring a hair dryer! The room I stayed in did not have a hair dryer so it was a little struggle to do my hair before going out.

3. Negotiate and confirm prices before EVERYTHING. Luckily the only thing I really "overpaid" for was the extra dollar for the tacos but I can see how that problem can be avoided just simply agreeing on the cost before any transaction.

All in all, it was next to perfect for my first trip down to the Zona. I can't thank the Captain and his friend enough for their time showing me around the Zona and their overall welcoming to a noob like me. Also thanks to all of you on here for your advice and tips to help make the trip as smooth as it was. I can't wait to return again!

While I have had Wonderful experiences with many girls. There have been a couple who it was best to just cut your losses and loss of money and just leave. Some girls are just too controlling and it drives me nuts.

There is probably a way to test for this or ask questions while still on the street. But not sure what questions to ask. Any ideas?

There is one girl who was too controlling in bed (think from Veracruz with nice tats on her body. She is a bit older. Great smile!) but I do really like her and still like to buy her drinks when I see her. Go to the dance rooms and get her nude and feel her up a bit. You're exactly right, Rainman. I rarely ever buy fichas. I bought 2 all last year and 0 so far this year and I have been in the bars every week for the past 12 months. You don't need a ficha to tell if there's chemistry between you and her. It's either there or it's not and there's not a helluva lot you can do to "create" chemistry.

Personally I prefer taking the taxi vans to Rosarito. It only costs about $3. You can catch the vans by 4th & Madero. You will see a bunch of vans line up. Your other option is take a route taxi to Roaarito. They cost about $20 I believe. As for Amazon Prime delivery is only available your country that you signed up for it. Amazon is supposedly available in Mexico. But I have never seen a Amazon van in Mexico. I believe that Fedex & UPS services to deliver to Mexico. The corruption has been a big problem for shipping packages in Mexico. UPS pulled out of Mexico years ago because the corruption. Mexico's postal servic is notoriously unreliabe there as well. The Asian maquiladora's have ship their own items and do not work with other businesses to avoid the corruption problems.

I just got back from Puerto Vallarta. One club wanted $20 usd (390 mxn) for a ficha. Obviously they didn't get one out of me!

Last I heard Las Antorchas near the pier had been demolished. Wonder if it moved somewhere. A few years ago gringo took a girl to his hotel, had a money dispute and went back to the bar after her. La Zona Tolerancia is about 5 miles North of town near the bull ring. I found a few hot girls there. Wonder the bars are still open?
